How It Works

This pillow is made up of five distinct layers that'll all work together to help stop you from being bothered by sound while you're sleeping or resting. The outermost layer consists of the breathable cover that's made of two layers of fabric, and its breathability will add to the likelihood that your head will stay cool and dry as you sleep. Meanwhile, the innermost layer includes soft ear seals on both sides that have been designed to rest gently and comfortably against your ears. In between, two foam layers will aid with sound reduction and an acoustic shell that will direct unwanted sounds away from the ears as you use your pillow.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Wrap Pillow Around Neck, Ears

To get started with this sound-reducing pillow, you must wrap it around the back of your neck so that the sides are covering your ears. If the sides of the pillow aren't covering your ears properly, the pillow will still support your neck, but it won't adequately block sound.

  2. Sit or Lie Down

Next, with the pillow positioned around your neck and ears, lie down on a bed or sofa or sit down on a comfortable seat. If you're sitting, you may find it comfortable to rest your head against a wall or the headrest of a chair so that your pillow stays firmly in place without slipping.

  3. Enjoy Sleep or Rest

Once you're sitting or lying down in the position of your choice, you can enjoy some quiet sleep or rest, without having to listen to snoring, voices, traffic noises, or whatever sounds typically annoy you. You can also use this pillow while you're working or studying if you need almost complete silence to concentrate.

  • Compact and Portable

While this type of pillow is 5.5 centimeters thick—thick enough to act as a comforting headrest—it's quite compact, in comparison to standard pillows. In fact, it's about half the size of a standard sponge-filled pillow that you'd use on your bed. For that reason, it won't take up much space in your home or office when you're not using it, and it'll only take up about a foot of space in your vehicle for transportation purposes. You may even be able to fit one of these pillows in your suitcase when you're going away on a longer trip.

  • For Back and Side Sleepers

Many people sleep on their back or either side of their body, and this pillow has been designed for back and side sleepers alike. When you're on your side, you should still be able to set it up so it rests against your neck and both ears, even though one ear will be facing downward and the other upward.

  • Environmentally Friendly

The Zzzilent Sleeper can be considered environmentally friendly since it doesn't require the use of batteries or electricity. Its U-shape and inner configuration will do all the sound-reducing work, without needing the help of any potentially harmful electrical waves. Plus, you'll be able to use this type of pillow over and over again, perhaps for several years, instead of disposing of it after a few uses.

  • Not Irritating or Distracting

If you don't have a device like this sound-reducing pillow, you might choose to use earplugs, which can be uncomfortable to wear and can irritate the skin within the ears. Alternatively, you could put on a pair of wireless headphones, but then the audio tracks coming from them might prevent you from getting a good night's sleep, in the same way as environmental sounds would. If you want to block out a lot of sound without being irritated or distracted, using the Zzzilent Sleeper pillow is probably a better option.

Positive Points

  • Lifts Head up

While you're lying down, this pillow will elevate your head and neck and bit, which will help reduce the chances that you'll wake up with neck stiffness or pain. If you struggle with breathing problems or snoring throughout the night, having an elevated head and neck may also help mitigate those problems.

  • Safe for Longtime Use

If electrically generated, sound-blocking waves were coming from this pillow, you'd probably have to limit the frequency with which you used it, for your own body's safety. However, this pillow blocks sound without producing any waves, so you'll be able to use it safely, night after night, without worrying about any long-term damage to your head, neck, ears, or overall health.

  • Ideal for Couples

Getting a set of Zzzilent Sleeper pillows is will be a great decision for many couples, especially if one member of the pair snores and annoys the other, or if both people snore. With both members of the pair using one of these pillows individually, each person will be able to block out at least some of the other person's sleep-related noises, along with some of their own.

Negative Points

  • Won't Block Super-loud Sounds

This pillow will block sounds up to 33 decibels in loudness, which is fine if you're trying to block out traffic noises outside your window, or the sounds of people talking or snoring lightly. Unfortunately, the pillow may not block out the sound of music blaring from the next apartment, or fireworks booming in the neighbor's yard, as these sounds may reach volumes higher than 33 decibels.

  • May Block Out Desired Noise

On the other hand, there's a chance that the Zzzilent Sleeper pillow will block out quieter noises when you actually want to hear them. You may miss hearing a coworker saying something to you if you're wearing the pillow at work, or neglect to hear your phone vibrating or ringing quietly in any location. With this in mind, you should alert others in your immediate environment to your use of this pillow, in case they need to be louder to get your attention.

Save Time

If you're constantly being awakened by noises in the middle of the night, you might end up regularly getting a poor night's sleep, and taking frequent naps during the workday. Over time, this can add up to a lot of unproductive hours and drawn-out projects, but you may be able to make every hour productive again once you start using the Zzzilent Sleeper. It'll likely allow for a much more silent and restful sleep, so you won't have to nod off at your job, at school, or in between household errands.
