How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Insert Cartridge

Once you receive a Zevo Flying Insect Trap, you'll need to insert the included disposable cartridge. To do so, snap it into the base of the device with the removable backing facing in the same direction as the device's electrical plug. Peel off the removable backing with one hand, to reveal the sticky adhesive underneath, and you'll be ready to move on.

  2. Plug Device Into Outlet

Next, plug your device into a functioning electrical outlet to give it the power it needs to do its job. Once you've done so, its combination of ultraviolet and blue lighting will begin to attract nearby flies and gnats. This will cause them to fly into the device, where they'll become trapped in the sticky adhesive inside and eventually pass away.

  3. Remove Cartridge and Dispose

After 15 days, unplug your device and check it to see if it's full of flies and gnats yet. If so, slide out the removable, disposable cartridge, and toss it in a trash receptacle. In the event that your cartridge is not yet full of bugs, you'll be able to leave it in your device for up to 15 more days. The maximum time a cartridge should be used inside your device is 30 days.

  4. Replace Cartridge (optional)

If your problem with bugs is only seasonal, you may be done with your trapping tool for a while, but if you've obtained replacement cartridges, you'll be able to replace the disposed-of one. To replace it, simply snap the new cartridge into the device in the same way you added the old one. Remember to remove the backing before you plug the device into your chosen electrical outlet again.

  • Works Constantly

As soon as you plug your Zevo Flying Insect Trap into an electrical outlet, it'll work continuously. You won't need to press a power button each day in order to activate its bug-attracting light. However, it's not incredibly noisy, so it shouldn't disturb you or others in your household as you sleep, rest, or do other activities near the device.

  • Portable

This device is small enough to be carried from room to room by most users if the need arises. You might choose to move yours around if you only have one, but the location where bugs tend to gather changes from day or day or week to week. Similarly, you might choose to add the device to the room in which most people are sitting and let the bugs gather elsewhere for a while. Transporting this device to your cottage or your office in your vehicle is also a viable option.

  • No Chemicals Involved

A lot of people will use chemical sprays to try and ward off bugs, but spraying chemicals around your house can make it difficult for some people to breathe. Plus, if the chemicals you use are toxic, you'll have to be careful where you spray them, so you don't expose your food, your children, or your pets to toxicity. Using the Zevo Flying Insect Trap involves no chemical sprays, though, so if you use it to get rid of pesky bugs, you won't end up dealing with these potential problems.

  • Doesn't Give Off an Odor

Unlike chemical sprays or citronella candles, this bug-eliminating device doesn't give off an odor—unpleasant or otherwise. That means you won't have to avoid the device yourself in order to avoid its smell or be forced to keep explaining to guests where the smell is coming from.

Positive Points

  • Minimizes Presence of Bacteria

When house flies, fruit flies, and some gnats are allowed to fly freely in your home, they can spread bacteria everywhere they go, including around your kitchen. This, in turn, can cause bacteria to end up on your food, from which it can be transferred to your body or the bodies of other members of your household. Fortunately, when you plug in a Zevo Flying Insect Trap, it'll likely kill the majority of these bugs before they get the chance to transfer lots of bacteria to the surfaces of your home.

  • No Physical Action Required

A manual way to get rid of flies and other bugs is to walk around with a fly swatter and slap or zap them (depending on the swatter), but that can tire a person out. Making use of a Zevo Flying Insect Trap instead will require no physical action on the part of the user, aside from initially plugging in the device and unplugging it to empty it. As you kick back and relax or accomplish tasks around the house, this tool will do all the work on its own when it comes to eliminating bugs from the immediate area.

  • Good for Entomophobic People

Though most people seem to know that flies and gnats aren't extremely dangerous, many people are nervous and skittish around them anyway. If you're a person who happens to be just a little bit afraid of bugs, plugging in one of these insect traps may provide you with some relief. It'll dramatically decrease the number of flies and gnats that are buzzing around the room you're in, so seeing one may become a rare occurrence. Depending on where you situate your trap, it may even diminish the number of bugs throughout your entire residence.

  • Cartridge Refills Available

When you're obtaining a Zevo Flying Insect Trap, you can get as many extra cartridge refills as you'd like. A good plan is to estimate how many months you'll be using this device and get one or two for each month.

Negative Points

  • May Bother Insect Enthusiasts

The idea of this device may bother insect enthusiasts because it'll literally kill the insects after they fly inside. People who view insects as special creatures might prefer to use a device that'll trap insects without killing them, so they can return the bugs to their natural habitat outdoors after they've been trapped.

  • Don't Use Near Chameleon

If you have a chameleon as a pet, even if it's securely in a cage, you should not plug in a Zevo Flying Insect Trap in the same room. The reason for this is that it's unsafe for chameleons to be exposed to ultraviolet light, which this type of device constantly emits.
