The cost of Yumble is $5.99 and the shipping is FREE!
Lunch and dinner trays are made of Polypropylene and can be warmed in the microwave. They should never be placed in the oven, toaster, or broiler.
Yumble delivers pre-made meals that require refrigeration as soon as you unpack your delivery, to retain optimal freshness. It's important that you enjoy them within seven days to make sure they are still fresh and delicious!
There is a large variety of meals available for you to choose from! Here is a list of some of the meals currently offered:
Eggs and Hashbrowns.
Pizza Pocket with Broccoli and Mashed Potatoes.
Chicken Nuggets with Rice and Carrots.
Breakfast Enchilada with Black Beans and Roasted Potatoes.
...and many more!
For a limited time, for the first two weeks of orders, you will receive a 25% discount! This is a great opportunity for you to try this food delivery system while saving money at the same time!
You have the ability to easily skip any week and cancel your subscription at any time! Unlike other delivery services, Yumble does not force you to order food every week and make you sign long contracts.
A great feature of Yumble is the ability to select a default meal setting so that if you forget to pre-select your week's meals, they will send what you've selected as the default. This way you know your kids will be delivered food that they love!
There is absolutely no prepping or cooking needed to eat these meals. Depending on what you order, simply reheating the meal is all that must be done. Meals that are meant to be warmed in the microwave will come with instruction on the meal label. In general, warming time is forty-five seconds to two minutes.
While looking through the list of meals available, you will notice that gluten free, egg free, dairy free, and vegetarian meals are all tagged to make your weekly selection easier.
In your Yumble meals, you will find seasonal, wholesome, and natural ingredients. Whenever possible, organic ingredients are added and noted. All proteins are also antibiotic free and hormone free. There are meals that you can feel comfortable with feeding to your kids because you know they're full of good ingredients!
There are three meal plans available; six, twelve, or twenty-four meals per week. You can also easily change your meal plan at any time!
Nut allergies (peanuts in particular) are very common and can be deadly. Unfortunately, Yumble does not make their meals in a nut-free kitchen. While they do not use peanuts or tree nuts in their recipes (except coconut), they are unable to guarantee that there has not been any cross-contamination.
When you receive your delivery, if you're unable to eat all your meals within the suggested seven days, it's not recommended that you freeze them. Although freezing meals isn't always optimal, sometimes it's needed, and it would be good to at least offer reheating instructions.
When ordering your Yumble meals, there are no size options to choose from. It is recommended that the meals be purchased for children from twelve months to twelve years old but it's also mentioned that generally three to six years old is best.
Twelve months to twelve years old is a very large gap in age and a meal that is recommended for three to six year olds will probably not be enough for a pre-teen. They should offer a variety of sizes for smaller children and older children to ensure everyone has the correct portion size.
The delivery area only covers the east coast and parts of the midwest. There are plans to continue to expand but to find out if your location is covered, enter your email address and zip code into the website.
Before signing up for 24 meals per week, it's a good idea that you start with 6 to make sure your kids like the food, texture, and presentation. This is especially important if you have picky eaters in your household!
There are over 24 different meals and snacks to choose from, so have your kids try everything to see what they like the most! Even if they don't enjoy a meal, there will probably be someone else in the household who would love to eat it, so it won't go to waste!
Once you've discovered the meals that your kids like, make sure you continue to mix it up every week! Kids will eventually get bored with eating the same foods over and over so adding variety will keep them interested and loving everything you give them!
Before making any orders, ensure that you contact the company to know exactly what meals are okay for the allergens that you're dealing with. Sometimes there are hidden allergens within meals, so it's important to double check ahead of time.
If placing your meal in the microwave, be aware that the tray may become slightly soft after being heated and cause it to become more malleable; it will also be hot.
Instead of using the microwave, if you would prefer heating your meal in the oven, just transfer it to an oven-safe dish. The recommended cooking instructions would be 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 to 15 minutes (depending on the meal).
