Features

  • Self-inflatable / Deflatable

The Yawn Air Bed has a self-inflatable pump built into the mattress so there is no hassle in remembering to bring or store a pump with the mattress. The mattress can also self-deflate in under 5 minutes. There is no need to put pressure or lay on the bed in order to deflate it entirely.

  • Premium Headboard

The Yawn Air Bed comes with an inflatable headboard, making the mattress look a feel like a real bed. The headboard is useful as it keeps pillows in place from slipping throughout the night. It is also useful when the user would like to recline and rest their back upright on the mattress.

  • Anti-roll Rim

The Yawn Air Bed has created an anti-roll rim around the mattress. This feature enables the mattress to be raised on the corners which ensures that there are no unnecessary falls off of the mattress.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Remove From Packaging

The Yawn Air Bed comes in compact portable polyester bag. Remove the mattress from the bag and lay down the mattress in the position for sleeping.

  2. Plug in the Mattress

There is a standard electrical plug attached to the bed. Plug in the cord into the socket and turn on the switch found at the other end of the cord. Once the switch is on, the mattress should begin to inflate fully.

  3. Adjust for Comfort

Next to the switch found on the mattress to inflate the bed, there is a switch in order to adjust the mattress to have different degrees of firmness or softness.

  4. Ready to Use

Once inflated, the Yawn Air Bed is ready to use. Some users may want to add their own sheets, pillow, and blankets to the bed in order to provide for a better, more comfortable sleep. These items are not included with the purchase of the Yarn Air Bed.

  5. Putting Away

Once no longer needed, the Yawn Air Bed is able to self-deflate within a matter of five minutes. The switch to self-deflate is the same switch in order to inflate the mattress and it is located near the electric cord. Simply turn the switch to deflate and the mattress will deflate. To put it away, the user can fold up the mattress into the bag which the mattress was packaged in.

Pros

  • Motorized Inflation/deflation

The Yawn Air Bed has a motorized inflation and deflation system built into the mattress. This feature is innovative from other inflatable mattresses in the past where the pump was not included or when the user had to inflate the mattress with their own force. Also, the feature of self-deflating is a time saver. Many mattresses are slow to self-deflate and only let the air out while someone exerts force on the bed. This can damage the bed by enabling too much air pressure out at once, which does not occur with the control of this mechanism.

Cons

  • Slow Leak

Some users have reported that the Yawn Air Bed has a tendency, like many other air mattresses to have a slow leak when used throughout the night, which may affect comfort and sleep.

Warnings

  • Avoid Sharp Objects Nearby

Similarly to other air mattresses, consumers of the Yawn Air Bed should avoid having sharp objects which could potentially puncture the bed. Items in pockets should be removed as a simple small puncture can create a hole in the mattress and enable air to start to leak out.

  • Flammable

Consumers are asked to avoid smoking near the bed or having any flames or fire near the bed as the pressurized air could easily be flammable and cause a fire.

How it's Different from Competitors

This mattress is different from its competitors by having a built-in motorized self-inflating and deflating unit. Many air mattresses include a separate pump which can get lost when the mattress is continually used. Some air mattresses do not even include a pump, which needs to be bought separately from the unit. The motorized unit is able to gauge the correct air pressure force to consistently pump up and deflate the air mattress. This enables the mattress to inflate and deflate without creating any excessive air pressure that could tear the mattress. Another feature is the headboard which is not found in many other brands of air mattresses. This is convenient to use in order to recline on in an upright position. The headboard is also useful in order to keep pillows in place so that they do not slide of off the mattress throughout the night.

YAWN BED WORST PRODUCT EVER

The yawn inflatable bed is the worst product ever. It won’t stay inflated and has a leak. I tried inflating it once. Can’t get ahold of anyone to return it. Do not buy this useless product! I would give it a negative 1-star review if I could. I’m angry and out 100.00. I’m filing a report with the BBB also.

Yawn Air

What an awful product, 4 returns before I gave up and returned it to Argos and got my money back.
it kept splitting at the welded seams, and I think that the joints start to become brittle and split over time.
I never got the original or the following 3 beds to inflate move than 7 times before they started to leak and deflate.
Save your money and don't buy one!

Waste of Money

I bought mine from Argos and was able to take it back each time for an exchange as it was in the exchange period. The problem on each occasion was a puncture on the seam. This happened 4 times. Unlucky? I think when a product comes with a puncture repair kit it really says it all. I wouldn’t waste my money again.
On the plus side, the bed was easy to inflate and deflate and once I bought a special fitted sheet it was a comfortable bed. But now the exchange period at argos is over I’m left with a totally useless, deflated bed and can do nothing about it.

Loss of air

I bought the Yawn Air Bed in Oct 2018 I have only used it 4 times but now I find it doesn't hold the air and I have to keep inflating it, I'm very disappointed, could there be a fault and apart from the 30 day guarantee is there a warranty as I feel I've paid £59 for nothing. I await a reply.

Self Inflate and Deflate Mechanism

I have lost the instructions ages ago, and so I wonder, does the self inflate and self deflate turn itself off when done? I have never left it too long inflating in case it pops, so I always turn it off sooner than I might need to. So can you put my mind at rest:- does it switch off when done (either deflate or inflate) or do I actually have to do it myself?
