Understanding Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are blood-sucking pests that go through a range of life stages before they become adults. Young bed bugs can be quite small like specks of dust, and the white eggs are as big as a pinhead. At maturity, they measure about 5mm in length and may be as big as an apple seed.

Adults turn red once they have sucked blood and inject an anticoagulant that prevents the areas they have bitten from healing. The anticoagulant they inject is the leading cause of itchiness. Bed bugs are nocturnal which explains why most encounters and bite occur at night.

Many people do not know that they have bed bugs in their homes and often start to notice after months of infestation. Once you see a bed bug in your home, the house has probably been infested for months.

How to Detect Bed Bugs

Many people begin to realize they have an infestation once they experience itchy bites at night. Other signs of bed bug invasion include dark fecal matter on bed sheets and corners of beds.

A crushed bed bug that had fed well will leave a red stain when crushed. In some cases, you may see empty exoskeleton of adult bed bugs that have shed their skin. Some people decide to sleep in a different room once they find bed bugs in their beds. This may not be an effective strategy for controlling an infestation because bed bugs often use humans to hitchhike from one part of the house to another.

  • Important Consideration

If you suspect a bed bug infestation, consider calling an expert if you do not know how to use X Out Bed Bugs.

How It Works

Bed bugs sprays are incredibly useful for eliminating bed bugs in visible areas. Most bed bug sprays kill the pests on contact. Some pesticides have residual effects for up to 48 hours. Sprays can be quite useful if you use them regularly over a considerable period. Consider using bed bug sprays where the pests hide such as in corners of a mattress and suitcases.

Are Sprays Effective?

  • Areas to Target

The effectiveness of bed bug sprays varies depending on the type that you use. Some pesticides contain outdated compounds that bed bugs have grown resistant to. Bed bugs usually hide in mattresses, cracks, and crevices where they are difficult to reach.

Search the house thoroughly to determine the places where bed bugs are hiding. Use generous amounts of spray over a long period to ensure complete extermination of the pests. If unsure about what to do or how to use a spray, call a professional pest expert.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Correct Use

Like other spray bottles, X Out Bed Bugs spray comes in an aerosol dispenser. However, it is essential to use the spray as required to optimize its effectiveness and the effect of its content. Incorrect use of the pesticide may worsen or prolong an infestation.

  2. Be Organized

Before you start spraying, organize the room and dismantle all beds and furniture. Start spraying the room making sure to target the areas where bed bugs usually reside including corners of beds, pillows, and mattresses.

  3. Give It Time

Once you finish spraying, close the room for 10 to 15 minutes and then open the windows. If the room has a fan, turn it on. Fresh air helps to dry the spray and remove the scent of pesticide. Avoid using the room immediately after spraying.

Safety Precautions

  • Handling

Bed bug sprays are specially formulated to kill bed bugs. The products contain a wide range of ingredients, some of which may be harmful to humans. It is important to take various precautions when using bed bug sprays around the house, especially when handling the pesticide yourself.

  • General Guidelines

First, cover all open parts of your body. In addition, wear plastic gloves to prevent the spray from getting into your hands. Also, consider using a mask to avoid inhaling the fumes of the pesticide.

Put on clothes that you can easily remove once you finish spraying. In addition, be sure to store your bed bug spray in a cool, dark place away from the reach of children and pets.

Bed Bug Causes

  1. They Are Everywhere

Bed bugs live almost exclusively with humans. They are found all over the world including all states in the US. While many people believe that bed bugs come from motels and hotels, their residence is much more extensive than that.

  2. Public Places

The bed bugs in your house could come from many places including the office, bus, planes, taxicab, fire station, police stations, and even daycare among others.

  3. Movement

Bed bugs are quite good in hiding and hitchhiking. However, some places top the list of bed bug destinations or residence. If you stay in hotels or motels, be sure to check for signs of bed bugs on beddings and furniture. In addition, public transportation is often a popular location for bed bugs. While it may sound insensitive, the truth is that some guests who stay at your home may unknowingly bring bed bugs with them.

Like other pests, bed bugs can be quite harmful to humans and pets. X Out Bed Bugs is specially formulated to eliminate bed bug infestations. It has non-toxic active ingredients and is safe to use at home or in the office.

Don’t Waiste Your Money People

Ok since the bed bug doesn’t bite at night. Ok, why don’t I just leave the light on instead of buying your product for the rest of my life because they can hibernate for 6 months. And save that $20.00 a bottle for however many years I have left. Sorry, but your commercial put me here. And is there a sticker saying “no bed bugs out here” we can put on bedroom door so the bed bugs won’t come out.
