Wing Hangers are foldable hangers that have been made to allow users to hang up one garment without stretching its body or neckline, or hang more than 10 garments in one place to save space. These hangers come in packs of 25, and when you obtain a pack, you'll have a color choice of black or white. It's specified that each hanger will be able to withstand up to 22 pounds of weight, so each one will likely be able to hold your bulkiest coat or your heaviest formal dress.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Choose One or 10 Garments

To get started with one of these hangers, you'll first need to decide if you want to hang one garment from it or 10. Keep in mind that if you want to hang 10 garments from one of your Wing Hangers, you'll need 10 regular hangers to help you with that task. These hangers will be placed in the 10 round holes that you'll find on the "wings" of each winged hanger.

  2. Add Garments

To add one garment (such as a blouse) to your first winged hanger, fold the hanger up so that the wings are positioned vertically. Slide it down into the garment and then pull on the curved hook in order to open the wings. To hang 10 garments from one winged hanger instead, add each one to an ordinary hanger and then slide the curved hooks of these hangers into the winged hanger's 10 holes.

  3. Hang up in Closet

Once you've loaded a winged hanger with your choice of clothing, hang it from any rack in your closet in the same way that you would a standard hanger. If you've hung 10 garments from one hanger, you'll also have the option of partially collapsing its wings to save a bit more space. This will cause pieces of clothing to rest against each other instead of being spaced about an inch apart.

  • Black or White

You can get these hangers in black or white, so you can choose the shade that you like best or the one that you think will look best in your closet. If you share a closet with someone else, such as your partner or a roommate, you may want to get these hangers for yourself in one shade while your closet-mate obtains them in the other. That way, you'll quickly be able to tell whose garments are whose.

  • Packs of 25

Wing Hangers come in packs of 25, which means you'll be able to use one pack to hang at least 25 garments. Since each hanger's wings contain 10 round holes, you'll actually be able to hang a maximum of 250 garments from one set of hangers, provided that you have enough standard hangers to help you out.

  • Durable Plastic

All of these hangers are made from durable plastic, which means they'll be unlikely to break, even if you accidentally step on a hanger or drop a heavy object on top of one. They've also been designed to tolerate 22 pounds of weight without cracking under the pressure.

  • Hooks for Thin Straps

People commonly have problems with spaghetti straps (or straps that are otherwise thin) sliding off their hangers, but that probably won't be the case with your Wing Hangers. Each hanger has two small hooks on the top of each wing that have been included to help hold thin straps in position. By using these, you'll decrease the chances that you'll enter your closet and find a bunch of tank tops or tank dresses lying on the floor.

  • Travel-Friendly

These particular hangers are more travel-friendly than standard ones since they can be folded up into a more portable shape. Once you fold down the wings on each one, you likely won't have a problem fitting them into your suitcase or a large overnight bag. When you get to your destination, if there aren't many hangers available, you can simply pull these out.

Positive Points

  • Helps Maximize Closet Space

If you've got every garment you own hanging from a standard hanger, it may seem like your closet is very small. However, once you switch to Wing Hangers, your closet may seem much larger, due to the hangers' smaller wingspan and their ability to accommodate up to 10 garments each. Once you free up some space on your closet's racks by using these hangers, you may be able to walk into your closet, even if you weren't able to before.

  • Good for Children's Clothes

A child's garment will often weigh less than two pounds each, so in most cases, you should be able to hang 10 children's garments from one winged hanger without overloading it. Plus, if you're able to get all of your child's clothing organized and onto these hangers, there'll be more room in their closet to store toys and books.

  • Won't Stretch Garments

Standard hangers will often stretch shirts at the neckline or pants at the waistline, especially if the person that the garments belong to wears a smaller-than-average size. This likely won't happen when you use Wing Hangers to hang garments in your closet, though. You'll be able to fold each one up as you slide it into an individual garment, so its edges won't be pushing at (and thereby stretching out) the garment's seams. Consequently, you may not need to replace certain pieces of clothing as often as you would otherwise.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Display Next Day's Outfit

Instead of just having one hook at the top, you'll notice that each of these hangers also has another hook at the bottom. Both of these hooks may come in handy if you want to display the outfit you're going to wear the next day. You can hang your shirt from the entire hanger, hang your pants from the lower hook, and then hang the whole thing from the rack of your choice.

  2. Organize Two-piece Outfits

If you've got multiple outfits that come in two pieces, such as bikinis or business suits, you might want to hang the bottoms from one side of a winged hanger and the tops from another. That way, if you grab one piece of one of these ensembles, you'll always know that its partner is within arm's length.

  3. Use in Vehicle

Those people who like to hang certain outfits from a hook in their vehicle so they don't get wrinkled may find one of these winged hangers helpful. The winged hanger can be used to hang a business suit, a tuxedo, or a formal dress in a vehicle until it's needed. Once you're no longer using the hanger, it can be folded up into its most compact form so it'll take up little space.
