The Window Wonderland Projector will allow you to decorate the outside of your home for Christmas without even setting foot outside. In minutes, you'll be able to project Christmas movies featuring snowmen, puppies, trains, gingerbread men and more onto any window in your home. This projector's stand is adjustable, as is the viewing screen, making it compatible with windows of virtually any shape or size. With it, you'll be able to choose between six Christmas movies to play, plus an additional six Halloween-themed movies.

Total Cost Breakdown

The cost of Window Wonderland Projector is $59.99 plus $0.00 shipping, for a total price of $59.99. Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: windowwonderland.com

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Place Projector Near Window

To get started with this projector, place it on a flat surface near the window you want your holiday movie to play on. The projector is quite compact, so it won't take up much space—no more than a computer.

  2. Set up Projection Screen

Once your projector is in place, you'll need to set up your projection screen. It must be attached to the inside of the window that you want your movie to play on. This screen comes in a size of 6 feet wide by 4 feet tall, but you can adjust it to fit a smaller window if you'd like. You can also rotate it to fit a window that's taller than it is wide.

  3. Select Movie and Orientation

After your projector and screen are set up, it'll be time to select a movie, which will play on the outside of your window for anyone to see outdoors. You'll notice three buttons on the right-hand side of your projector: a Santa button, a pumpkin button and a slightly smaller black button. Use the first to select a Christmas movie, the second to select a Halloween movie, and the third to choose between vertical or horizontal orientation ( the ideal orientation will depend on your window's shape ).

Features

  • Black

Each projector is black like most of today's digital devices, so it'll sit discreetly on any flat surface, likely without clashing with your home's decor.

  • Adjustable Stand

This projector also has an adjustable stand, which will enable you to tilt it at an ideal angle toward any window in the room. Therefore, you won't need to deal with a movie character's head or feet being cut out of the picture!

  • Audio Option

If you connect any speaker to your Window Wonderland Projector, you'll be able to add music or other audio to any of your movies, making them even more entertaining.

  • Long Lasting

This projector is supposed to last a lifetime, so unless you're very aggressive or careless with it, you'll be able to use it to spruce up your home for the holidays year after year.

Positive Points

  • Fun for Kids

Most kids will find the idea of a movie playing on the outside of their home, through the window, to be a super-cool one. If they walk up at just the right time, Santa Claus may even wave "Hello" when they arrive home from school.

  • Neighbors Will Admire

Adult neighbors, plus any guests who come to your home, will also admire your dazzling display and wonder how you managed to set that up. Depending on how far your house is from the road, people driving or walking by might even be able to see your holiday movies.

  • No Getting Cold

If you live in an area that gets cold and snowy, or even rainy in the winter months, you may be relieved that you won't need to go outside to decorate this year. All the functions of the Window Wonderland Projector can be handled from the comfort of your chosen room indoors.

Negative Points

  • Need One Projector Per Window

To play a movie on more than one window of your home, you'll need more than one projector, as each projector will only project to one window at a time. While one projector won't take up much space in a room, you could begin to find an area cramped if multiple projectors were brought in.

  • Can't Upload Own Movies

You cannot upload your own movies from a DVD or a digital download to this projector and then play them. Instead, you'll be restricted to the 12 movies that come built into each projector, which doesn't seem like that many in this day and age.

Alternatives

  • Christmas Lights

Many people choose to put up Christmas lights either on the inside or outside of their external windows for the holidays. However, this sometimes isn't as fun as it sounds, since it may take an hour or more for you to untangle your strings of Christmas lights.

  • Yard Decorations

Yard decorations such as blow-up Santas and plastic snowmen look fun, but if you live in a colder area, you'll need to brave chilly temperatures to put those up. What's more, they may blow over on windy days.

  • Window Decorations

Some people decide to hang decorations in their windows, hoping that others will be able to see them from outside. These normally aren't very visible after all, though, unless they're extremely bright and / or bold. If not, it may appear to the neighbors that your house isn't decorated for Christmas at all.

Critical Advice

Do not plug in your projector outside and attempt to project a movie into your home via one of your windows. The projector could get damaged by rain or snow and stop working properly.

Do Not Buy!

If you are looking for a better product for the money do not buy this. The images are blurry no matter how you focus and the Images are almost black and white. They only give you one of what they call a screen which is opaque plastic. I just called the company to see if I can get more screens and they said no. I would have to purchase the whole set. You can only use the screen once! If I take it down, it is stuck to two sided tape and will rip or get stuck. Also during the day there is no way to use your window. At night the room has to be in complete darkness in order for this to work. You can’t even have the slightest light on in the room or else it won’t project. Buyer beware!

I have something to say!

Simply Satisfied

I was discourage at first because I was settinf it up from outside in. Instead of inside my home out. Everyone seemed amazed stating that it is fun to watch. Yes, your hine should be dark to appear outside but I have it located in the frobt window where there would be people to view and turn off later. I am convinced I am enjoying the scenety. I would like to have two screens, becauae you only receive one.

Not recommended from this household's experience. Difficult to reach and very reckless advertising at best. I believe the company's target is unaware customers.

Good question. I was wondering if it would work on larger, or smaller windows as well.

My guess from the reviews and memories of my dad and a slide projector, is that the smaller the window, the closer you need to be. And the larger the window, the further back you need to be. The question would be, can you adjust the focus for the change in distance between the projector and the screen?

Yes you can but it does not change the vibrancy its to dim.
