Windo Bully is a lock that can be used on any sliding window or sliding glass door, such as a patio door. After you've installed this lock, a process that requires no tools whatsoever, you can choose between its three settings, which include fully locked, partially open, or completely open. When your window is completely open, you'll be able to store your lock in its compact, convenient lock holder that you can also hang directly on your door or window. If you ever want to remove your Windo Bully, this can be done in seconds without tools, and the lock will leave no damage behind.
Using Windo Bully will enable you to enjoy the breeze when you want to, without having to worry about kids running outside or burglars getting inside your home through certain doors or windows. If you use this lock's partially open setting, you'll be able to open windows and doors far enough to get some fresh air, without opening them wide enough to allow a person through. Moreover, if you have a pet, you'll have the option of opening a door or window just far enough for the pet to get back in after they've gone outside. Windo Bully cannot be easily bypassed, as it'll withstand a great deal of pressure ( up to 300 pounds ).
The cost of Windo Bully is $19.95 plus $7.95 shipping. The special TV offer allows you to receive a second Windo Bully by paying the extra shipping fee of $7.95 for a total price of $35.85. This price was obtained from the As Seen on TV commercial page found at windobully.com; however, the company has since ceased selling Windo Bully and has taken down the website. Windo Bully may still be found for sale on Amazon or Ebay.
The Windo Bully universal lock works by way of a track and lock system. To lock your window or door fully, you'll need to slide the lock down to the bottom of its track, and to open it partially, you'll need to slide it partway up the track. If you want your window to be fully open, this will require you to simply remove the lock from the track altogether, and store it in the included lock holder. For convenience, the holder should be hanging on or close to your window or door.
Installing the Windo Bully is a quick process. After you've peeled the adhesive backing off the back of your lock, it'll stick directly to any sliding window or door, regardless of whether it opens horizontally or vertically.
Each of these locks is white and runs on a silver track, so it's unlikely that your lock will clash with the color of any of your window or door frames.
The locks come in sets of two, so if you need to use one on more than one window, or on a window and a door, you won't need to seek a second out separately.
Each Windo Bully is capable of withstanding up to 300 pounds of pressure, so yours won't open easily when you don't want it to. Most people weigh less than 300 pounds, so even if a burglar throws their weight against your locked window or door, they'll be unlikely to budge this lock. The lock will also effectively keep a window open when desired, so you likely won't have to deal with the wind slamming one shut at an unwanted time.
These locks are white, which means they'll show dirt easily, but every one comes with a cleaning pad that you can use to make it look tidy again.
If you want to keep your kids or pets inside during bad weather, or keep them away from certain areas ( such as a backyard pool deck ) unsupervised, Windo Bully will help you. Once you've secured a window or door in a fully locked or partially open position with this lock, a child or pet will not be able to open it fully and venture outdoors.
When burglars are looking to break into houses or apartment buildings, they often target first-floor windows or doors due to ease of access. Hence, although it's best to securely lock all of your windows and doors when you feel it's necessary, it is especially important to secure the ground-floor ones with a strong lock like Windo Bully.
Although the Windo Bully works on sliding windows and doors that open both horizontally and vertically, you won't be able to use it to lock your windows that operate via a crank.
While a home security system may only alert you if someone has already intruded through a door or window, Windo Bully will stop the intruder before they get in. Plus, it's inconvenient to turn on a security system during the day when people and pets may need to pass in and out of the home, but this window lock won't inconveniently hinder movement.

I obtained 4 of these locks long before they went as seen on TV and under the original name as I live in a single story home. They are perfect! Unattrusive and in the 4 or 5 years I've had them on my direct and indirect sunlight Windows still as strong as the day I installed them. When I move I will purchase more as between these locks and out door lighting I feel safe at night!
