Tree Dazzler lights are Christmas lights that will hang vertically on any Christmas tree and won't tangle easily like standard Christmas lights often do. Once you've hung your set on a particular tree, you'll be able to use the included remote control to choose between various lighting options. These sets of lights contain LED bulbs, which tend to last longer than standard lightbulbs. LED lights also tend to stay cooler than their standard counterparts, and are virtually unbreakable.

Total Cost Breakdown

This price was obtained from the As Seen on TV commercial page ( www.treedazzler.com ) which was taken offline due to Tree Dazzler being discontinued. Tree Dazzler may still be found for sale on Amazon or Ebay.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Attach Light Ring to Tree

To start using your Tree Dazzler lights, attach the included light ring, which the strands of lights will dangle from, to the top of your tree so it encircles the tree's point.

  2. Position Vertical Strands

Next, position Tree Dazzler's vertical strands so they're evenly spaced around your tree and cover as much of the tree, from top to foot, as possible.

  3. Choose Lighting Option

Once you plug your lights in, you can then use the remote control, which features "Steady," "Show," and "Sparkle" buttons, to choose between 10 different types of lighting. To set or change the lighting, all you'll need to do is press a particular button between one and four times.

Features

  • 10 Lighting Options

When you push the "Steady" button on your remote control, you'll get motionless, brilliant light in either red, green, white, or blue, and you can push this button twice to make the colors alternate. If you're into blinking and twinkling in all shades, the "Sparkle" button will make this happen for you. Finally, if you push the "Show" button between one and four times, you'll get a scrolling pattern, a rotating pattern, diagonal waves, or a dancing pattern, in that order.

  • Led Lightbulbs Used

The LED lightbulbs used within each string of lights commonly take much longer to burn out than other bulbs, so your Tree Dazzler lights will likely last you at least a few years. Plus, if one LED light happens to fall to the floor, it'll be far less likely to break than a standard bulb, so it's unlikely that you'll have to obtain any replacements.

  • Vertical Design

Many varieties of Christmas lights come on a single strand and have been designed to, ideally, wrap around a tree horizontally. However, Tree Dazzler lights consist of several vertical strands wrapped around a central ring, and this innovative design makes them less likely to tangle than other varieties.

Positive Points

  • Compatible With All Trees

Tree Dazzler lights aren't just for short trees, huge trees, or narrow trees—they can be used on any tree, regardless of its shape and size, or whether it's natural or artificial. Plus, with the four colors of lighting each string offers, a string will look attractive not only on a green tree, but on one that's white, blue, pink, or silver, too.

  • Kids Will Enjoy

Children will enjoy the light show that a string of these lights can offer, especially if they learn to push the remote control's buttons to change the lighting pattern and / or color themselves.

  • Useful on Other Holidays

You may choose to use these lights on other holidays besides Christmas. Lit up in red, white, or blue, they may make a great addition to a backyard tree on the Fourth of July, or you might want to light them up in green on St. Patrick's Day.

Alternatives

  • Standard Christmas Lights

Standard Christmas lights look nice, too, but chances are, you'll get tired of untangling your string of them each and every year. Plus, if yours don't have LED bulbs, you may find yourself replacing them quite frequently.

  • Candles

Some people still put candles on their Christmas tree( s ), but these can be hazardous. If not watched closely, they can burn your decorations or even your entire tree to a crisp.

Warnings

  • Don't Touch Bulbs

Although LED bulbs generally don't get as hot as other bulbs do, they can get fairly hot, so don't go up and touch them on purpose. Remember to warn any children in your care not to do that, either.

How it's Different from Competitors

Tree Dazzler makes it easy for you to decorate your tree. This product works by coming attached to an easy to set tree ring. You simply place the ring around the top of your Christmas tree and then drape and straighten the lights. Plug it in and you will instantly have a decorated, glowing Christmas tree.

Tree Dazzler also does not use traditional light bulbs that can break and short out the entire light string. These lights are meant to be durable and last a lifetime.

Save Time

Decorating a Christmas tree with multiple sets of light strings can be difficult and time consuming. Lights often get tangled and are annoying when trying to get them untangled. This product will save you time by allowing you to light up your tree by simply placing the ring around the top.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Stackable

One set of these lights should be enough to cover an average sized Christmas tree. However, for a larger tree, you can stack another set of lights together so that it will cover a larger area.

Stack up to three sets of Tree Dazzlers for an even more dramatic effect.

  2. Bogo

This product is available as a special buy one get one free offer. Must pay separate shipping and handling on the second Tree Dazzler.

  3. Multi Packs

You may choose to purchase Tree Dazzler as a single string or you can purchase a pack or two or three sets.

  4. Deluxe

This product is available as both the original or deluxe upgrade. With the upgrade, you will get even more amazing light patterns.

Cons

  • Not Versatile

With Tree Dazzler, although it allows you to easily decorate your Christmas tree, it cannot be changed around to decorate in a any way that you want. The lights can only be strung vertically and can not be used to decorate other things such as railings or windows.

Complaints

  1. Ugly

One customer complained that these lights were just plain ugly on their tree. They said that the lights looked like ping pong balls when not lit. The customer took the lights down after a single day.

There were also complaints that the wire that hold the lights together did not look very nice and needed to be hidden within the branches.

  2. Manual

One customer complained that this product did not work with a remote or automatic switch. They did not like that they had to manually turn it on and change the light patterns.

Another customer said that this product should have a timer so that you can set it to turn on at a specific time each day.

  3. Dim

There were a few complaints that the Tree Dazzler was not as bright as was advertised. They claimed that it did not have as much of a glow and was very dim.

  4. Shipping

One customer complained that when they received their Tree Dazzler it was in a tangled mess and was difficult to work with.

Critical Advice

Never leave your Tree Dazzler plugged in unsupervised. As with any Christmas tree lights or decorations, they could potentially cause a fire if not used properly. Always make sure to use a surge protector or never leave children unattended near your tree.

Almost a Great Product

Looks great, but QC was poor and lots of bad ones got through. Good on sale, however.
Not turning on with a timer is bad, but no off function on the controller was indescribably lazy and cost 3 stars.
So easy to program with existing hardware with a line of code to shut off with a 2 button hold.
Lazy. Lazy. Lazy.

Tree Dazzler

What a deal! This isn't your ordinary light strand. We bought two sets and stacked them. Nice! With two sets going, there is an endless array of possible color combinations and actions. The only obvious drawback thus far is the lack of a switch to turn them on and off. They have to be unplugged every time they are to be turned off or plugged into an outlet that is switched. Not much different from the usual Christmas lighting.

Looking for Suggestions About Hiding Rings

I like a lot of lights on my tree. Love the Tree Dazzler, but when you stack them that top ring is big and bulky. Any ideas to hide or disguise? We always have a real tree so putting them all together is the only option.

I have an optic angel as a tree topper. Her dress covers both rings and is actually helpful in keeping her sitting steady. I love my Tree Dazzlers. I wish they were still selling them.

DO NOT BUY

These lights work for a short time and then go out. I have had to redecorate the free twice since November 4, 2018. Save your money store won't take them back you have to send to manufacturers and they don't pay postage. Another Christmas SCAM.

I Love Tree Dazzler

I bought 2 last year and they are awesome. I hope they last for years. Right out of the box one of my strands had 1 bulb not work and I didn't feel like taking them back.
Our tree This year is prob 8 feet and it almost goes to the bottom but still looks great with 2 sets. I guess they don't symc up bit its not a huge deal. I don't like that I have to unplug them and plug them back in them turn them on again
I was skeptical but I really like them.

Very Very Satisfied

This is an amazing product, purchased it last year at the end of the holiday season on a random binge buy. I must say I did not think it as going to be what it turned out to be. It's beautiful, versitile, bright and extremely easy to put on the tree, it took me longer to open the box and take off the ties than It did for me to put It on and plug it in. It defiantly exceeded my expectations.
Sincerely, a very happy customer who will not be fighting with the traditional string light mess!

Do you think if I cover all of the connections really well to keep water out I could use them outdoors? Or do you think rain or snow would cause the bulbs to go out?

The company that made ( emphasis - made - past tense ) is now selling their own product for $14.99. You can find the product for $9.99 Target and elsewhere.

Bulbhead dumped thousands upon thousands of these sets on retailer's shelves all across the U.S. that company has a history or stealing other people's ideas and with their prowess, they're able to manufacture for pennies on the dollar or close to it. Their Marketing / retail connections also get them on retailers' shelves. I seriously doubt they are making any more of these light sets.

When they're gone. They're gone!

No, it can not be fixed. These lights use LED not bulbs. They have too many components to troubleshoot - not worth repairing.

My Tree Dazzler Does Not Work

I plugged in my brand-new Tree Dazzler and the lights only came on for a brief second. I tried to press the button again. And nothing. Then, I tried another outlet and the same thing happened.

I purchased two Tree Dazzlers and the other set works fine. What should I do?

Thanks and Happy Holidays,

Vera.

Good and Bad Points

Good points.

- Easy to set up and use.

- Beautiful colors and effects.

- I found a hidden function:
When selecting a Show function, you can hold down the show button on the pattern you want. Let it get to a display you like and then press shimmer while still holding show. It will freeze on that display. Release show and it will stay that way.

This gives you still patterns you can't get with STILL.

Bad Points:

- It can't be turned on and off with a timer.

- The controls can't turn it off.

- It forgets your settings if you unplug it.

I Want something similar that remembers your settings ( hint: real toggle or rotary switches ) and can be controlled by a timer ( all of my displays are on timers ).

It works with a remote control plug. I have my tree on one and put the Tree Dazzler on another one. You have to click it on, but it won't turn the lights on-you have to manually set that from the strand, When you want to shut it of. Just hit off on the remote and off they go. Not perfect but way better than having to unplug to shut it off.

Stopped Working after a Few Days Terrible!

I absolutely loved the product. Our tree has never looked better. We have the lights in the bottom layer of a tree that we took 2 hrs to Decorate. We tossed the box in the garbage and then they just stopped working. There is no reset button or number to call. Pulling them off will damage the Decorations and live tree. I really wish I had never seen them in the store.

Can't Turn Them Off

They are cool, but there is no way to turn them off unless you unplug them. That is just plain stupid! I mean really. What would it have added to the price to include a small on / off switch? Maybe $1? I would have gladly paid that for the convenience. Also, I bought mine at Walmart and they don't have the one with 31 patterns, just the one with 16 patterns and no remote. I'm disappointed because these are not as cool as the ones they advertise with more patterns.

Turning Them Off

How do You Add the Star?

These lights are fun, and fairly easy to put on, but. How do you add your star? There is no way to plug it in. I noticed hardly any of the ads show a tree topper being used. A plug somewhere on the ring would improve this product greatly. I finally slapped a santa hat over the top. Also, there is no way to turn them off, so I plugged them into an outlet that is controlled by a switch on the wall. I am sure that company will come out with a new and improved version next year.

I have the same questions as a few others posted:
1. Can lights be turned off without unplugging? Most trees are in front of the outlet making it hard to reach behind to unplug every night.
2. Can lights be used with a timer? I also use a timer to automatically turn my trees on / off. Cannot figure out how to make this work with the Tree Dazzler.

Great Lights

I love these lights. They were very easy to put on the tree and very attractive. When I first received them and scrolled through the controller I though they were cheesy looking. But now that they are on the tree they are beautiful. Even my husband loves them and he is picky and cynical when it comes from TV adds. I hope they have a long life span. Easy for me to do!
