The Tabletop Fire Pit is a compact, portable fire pit that's made of heat-resistant concrete infused with explosion-proof fibers. Each fire pit, which stands a few inches tall and appears to have a similar diameter to a jar of peanut butter, also has a wooden base and comes with an extinguishing lid. The body of this fire pit is light gray while the lid is dark gray. Once you place the lid on top of your fire pit, it's been deemed capable of extinguishing its flame in seconds.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Place On a Flat Surface

To get started with your Tabletop Fire Pit, place it on a flat surface, such as a picnic table outdoors. Make sure it's resting on its brown base and that its lid has been removed from the top before you move on to the next stage of lighting it.

  2. Add Isopropyl Alcohol

Once your fire pit is sitting on a flat surface, remove the stainless steel cup from inside it. Fill the cup with isopropyl alcohol (91 percent is best) or ethanol. Place the cup back in the fire pit's belly where you found it.

  3. Light Fire

Next, use a barbecue lighter to light your fire pit. Note that you'll have to stick it quite far into the pit's belly to do so. After the fire pit has been lit, a small flame should appear almost immediately. The flame will last for up to 45 minutes.

  4. Extinguish Or Re-Light

If you're done with your fire pit for a while and you want to extinguish its flame before it has gone out on its own, you can use the lid to do this. Simply pick up the lid by its handle and place it on the pit, and the flame should go out in seconds. Users who want to re-light their flame after it has gone out must wait until it has died completely before adding more isopropyl alcohol or ethanol to their pit's inner cup.

  • Portable

The size of each Tabletop Fire Pit will allow the vast majority of users to carry it from place to place, in and around their home, in one hand. If you have a large firepit, you clearly won't be able to move it indoors and then out, or to different areas of your backyard, but you can do that with this compact one. People who want to take this type of fire pit to their cottage or a friend or family member's house will be able to transport it in their vehicle without worrying about space constraints, too.

  • Heat Resistant

Every one of these fire pits has a body made of concrete that's resistant to high temperatures up to 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Therefore, it's unlikely that any flame will ever burn through this type of pit, especially since fire pits typically don't get any hotter than 900 degrees Fahrenheit. Likewise, the stainless steel cup inside the belly of each pit can withstand temperatures up to about 2,700 degrees Fahrenheit without melting.

  • Durable

The concrete used to make each Tabletop Fire Pit is also highly durable, as all concrete tends to be. As a result, even if your fire pit happens to fall off the flat surface it's resting upon, it's unlikely to break or pick up a noticeable dent. Due to its durable materials, including the stainless steel inside the belly, one of these fire pits may last you for several years or more before you need to even think about replacing it.

  • Not Messy

Standard fire pits or bonfires can be incredibly messy, as they often create a great deal of scattered soot and ash in any location. However, this fire pit's design will enable it to produce nothing of that sort for you to clean up. Plus, as it burns, it won't emit any odors or smoke—two things that can be hard on people's noses and lungs and linger in the environment long after a fire has gone out.

Positive Points

  • Sets A Relaxing Mood

No matter who you're with or where you are, dimming or turning off your lights and lighting a small fire instead can help set a relaxing mood after a long day. You may want to use your Tabletop Fire Pit to create an amorous atmosphere when you're on a date, or quickly light it to give yourself and your friends some illumination as you hang out. It'll also help everyone see what they're doing at dinner parties, for safety's sake, when you don't want to turn on more intense ordinary lights.

  • Can Be Used For Cooking

Like a larger fire pit or bonfire, this compact fire pit will be useful if you want to roast small items, such as marshmallows for s'mores or small hot dogs. Since this pit won't produce soot, smoke, or unpleasant smells, you may find that it's more pleasant to cook food with this one than it is to cook with traditional fire pits. Along the same lines, if you don't like smoky-tasting food, the snacks you make won't taste at all like smoke when you cook them with the Tabletop Fire Pit instead.

  • Makes A Good Gift

If you're looking for a gift to get a loved one for any occasion, a larger fire pit may not be the best choice, as it'll require lots of space in a vehicle for transportation. Your friend or family member may also have difficulty using it if their yard is small or they only have a balcony. On the other hand, almost anyone can enjoy using the Tabletop Fire Pit, as it'll take up only about a foot of space on any surface. Furthermore, its flame will typically only rise two or three inches above the pit.

  • No Electricity Needed

Some compact devices will create the look of a real flame for you without requiring you to light them, but you'll have to plug them into electricity first. This fire pit offers a real flame instead, though, so you'll be able to use it virtually anywhere, including at campsites with no electrical power.

Critical Advice

This fire pit has been designed with outdoor use in mind, but using it indoors isn't out of the question. If you do use your fire pit indoors, make sure you keep it away from anything that might burn easily, such as newspapers or fabric. You should also fully extinguish the flame before you leave any room or area in which you've been using the fire pit.

Negative Points

  • Only Comes In Gray

This fire pit is only available in one combination of shades: light gray with a dark gray lid. While this combination will likely look OK with the decor in most homes and yards, if you'd prefer a brighter-looking device, you won't be able to find one of this type.
