Tabata is a full-body workout program for men and women that you can undertake in the comfort of your own home. It was created by personal trainer PJ Stahl, and has been endorsed by Professor Izumi Tabata, who has studied Olympic athlete performance from a scientific perspective. Regardless of your age and fitness level, you can participate in the program, since there are modifiers for each exercise that will accommodate the physical differences between people. When you spend 20 minutes each day, five days per week completing the program's various workouts, you'll work every muscle group in your body, including your arms, legs, back, glutes, and abdominals.
By using Tabata to work out your entire body, you'll improve your fitness level and burn calories both during and after your workouts. If you make healthy food choices, you'll likely lose inches off your waistline and other common fat-collecting areas, and shed pounds along the way. Instead of having to drive or otherwise travel to the gym, you'll be able to do your Tabata workouts wherever there's a television set and a furniture-free space. None of the exercises within the program necessitate the use of dumbbells or any other supplies—all you'll need is your body. If you follow the program and the nutrition guide for just six weeks, it's typical that you'll see very positive results.
The cost of Tabata is $119.85 plus $19.95 shipping, for a total price of $139.80.

All of the workouts within the Tabata program have been designed with the 20 / 10 protocol, uncovered by Professor Izumi Tabata during his study of Olympic athletes, as a basis. During each workout, you'll spend four minutes in an overdrive zone, during which you'll perform 20 seconds of intense activity followed by 10 seconds of rest, and you'll repeat this process eight times. The high-intensity activity your body will undergo while in this four-minute overdrive zone will burn more calories than lower-intensity activity would in an hour. As you go through your 13 DVDs that contain the 15 standard workouts, workouts will gradually increase in intensity so you'll be able to build up to your peak performance level without getting worn out.
Every Tabata workout is only 20 minutes long ( not including your warm-up and cool down ), so even if you're busy, you'll likely be able to fit one in five days per week.
The Tabata program has been designed to be completed in six weeks, with four optional weeks that you can tack on at the end. However, you can cycle through the program as many times as you want. Most people who participate for six weeks have noticed that they've lost pounds and inches, with the average number of pounds lost falling at 12.8.
This program has three levels, so you can gradually become more fit without wearing yourself out at the beginning. Each level consists of five workouts. The first is the foundation level, during which you'll build up balance, strength, flexibility, and coordination, followed by the endurance level, which will firm your muscles, making you leaner and stronger. Finally, you'll complete the power level, full of elite routines that are meant to accelerate your metabolism and improve your power and stamina.
With the Tabata system, you'll get a calendar that will give you guidelines for each workout and enable you to track your progress effectively. You'll also get a fitness guide that will give you advice in regard to the completion of all your workouts.
Tabata is accompanied by a meal plan containing meals that promote an ideal balance of macronutrients in the body. This balance will help you remain sufficiently nourished, while fueling your metabolism.
Aside from the 15 standard Tabata workouts, you'll also be provided with eight bonus exercises that you can partake in throughout the six-week program, plus an additional calendar for tracking purposes.
Aside from small children, the Tabata workout program is suitable for nearly everyone, regardless of gender, age, or fitness level. If you're unable to perform a certain exercise in the standard way for any reason, you'll be able to modify it so you can still reap its benefits.
To perform your Tabata workouts properly, you will not require dumbbells, cords, mats, balls, benches, or any other common exercise paraphernalia.
Each Tabata package includes a tape measure that will enable you to measure any area of your body to see how many inches you've lost.
Before starting Tabata, you should talk to a doctor to ensure that the program is completely safe for you, based on your medical history and any conditions you may have.

It’s like a recipe that lists ingredients but doesn’t tell you how much to add of each. They look like great workouts but had to move on to find one with complete instructions. Or should I just use any weight hoping I don’t tear a ligament or something?

I'm glad I bought the Tabata program, I lost twenty-five pounds in six weeks. It has an easy to follow diet plan. I've increased my cardio, flexibility, and strength. My advice for anyone getting the Tabata pounds is to look at the following days workout and familiarize yourself with the exercises.
