Step by Step is a short, wide, stable platform that'll give you an extra step up when you're doing a variety of things. It's useful when you need to get out of a high vehicle, step in and out of the house, climb in or out of the bathtub, or reach a high cupboard or shelf. Anyone can use it, but it's especially ideal for individuals struggling with mobility due to age, a physical disability, or an injury.
The cost of Step By Step is $19.99 plus $7.99 shipping. The special TV offer allows you to receive a second Step By Step by paying the extra shipping fee of $7.99 for a total price of $35.97. This price was obtained from the As Seen on TV commercial page which was taken offline due to Step By Step being discontinued. Step By Step may still be found for sale on Amazon or Ebay.
Each Step by Step platform is made of rust-resistant, heavy-duty plastic. It can withstand the pressure of crutches or a cane, and bear a total weight of up to 440 lbs.
On the top of each platform is a slip-resistant mat that contains hundreds of dimples that'll help your feet maintain a firm grip on the mat without slipping.
Every platform contains 12 small drainage holes. Any water that accumulates on your platform will trickle down these holes so that the platform remains dry. Therefore, you won't need to worry about getting your feet or shoes wet when using this apparatus.
Step by Step is small enough to fit in any car, and it's light enough for the majority of people to carry without difficulty. That means that you can bring the platform with you from place to place, either for your own use or for another individual.
Each platform comes in shades of grey and off-white, so regardless of where you leave it in your home, yard, or elsewhere, it won't stand out like a sore thumb, clashing with the decor.
If you have an injury, arthritis, or another physical disability, you may find it painful to take a big step upward or downward in order to enter or exit an area. Fortunately, using Step by Step will make any upward or downward step you need to take much smaller than usual, so you won't experience as much, if any, pain.
Injured, disabled or elderly people run a higher risk of falling than others when stepping up or down, but the use of this platform will reduce this risk by minimizing the amount of stepping required.
The dimples found on each platform's slip-resistant mat aren't sharp, so you'll be able to step onto your platform in bare feet, if needed, without causing yourself discomfort.
By making use of Step by Step, seniors and people with temporary or permanent physical disabilities will be able to live independently with less difficulty. Family and friends won't need to worry about them as much. Furthermore, kids will be able to use the platform to reach high cupboards and shelves, which may encourage them to do more things for themselves instead of seeking assistance from caregivers.
You can use a standard plastic step-stool to step up into a different area, but these generally aren't as safe to use as Step by Step. The plastic used to make them often isn't as sturdy, so they may fall over, and they don't have drainage holes for liquid to pass through like this heavy-duty platform does.
If you or someone else has difficulty getting into or out of the bathtub, house, or car, a ramp or lift can be installed for assistance. However, the installation of one of these tools can be incredibly time-consuming.
Some people who have a hard time stepping up or down rely on assistance from others, but in some situations, others can't be available to help at all times. In those situations, a device like the Step by Step will come in handy.
