Star Shower Ultra 9 is a laser light that's been created as an alternative to strings of outdoor holiday lights you'd hang from your home. Each device consists of a large spotlight with a stake attached for users to insert into the ground. It's specified that once you've installed one of these laser lights in your front yard, you'll be able to cycle through nine different lighting settings with the press of a button. This light's also equipped with an automatic sensor that will turn it on at nighttime and off in the morning.
The cost of Star Shower Ultra 9 is $29.99 plus $7.99 shipping for a total price of $37.98.

Before you start using your Star Shower Ultra 9, you'll need to find a place to insert its stake, which will be a few inches long, into the ground. The further you place it away from your home, the more surface area it'll cover with its sparkling, moving, or blinking lights, up to a maximum of 3,200 square feet. Once the stake is in the ground, the light must also be pointing at the front of your house or wherever you want its illumination to be projected.
Next, when you have your light set up, you'll have to plug it into an electrical outlet. If it's been staked quite far away from your house, you may need to run an extension cord from the house or garage towards the device in order to accomplish this. You should plug it in at nighttime so you'll be able to see the illumination it provides right away.
With your laser light plugged in, use the large red button on the back to cycle through the nine different lighting settings. You'll be able to choose whether the thousands of tiny lights that the device projects onto your home and yard will be twinkling, moving like shooting stars or blinking. Furthermore, within each of these settings, you can decide whether the lights will be both red and green, just red, or just green.
Once you've selected a light setting, which you can change at any time in just a few seconds, you'll be able to enjoy seeing thousands of tiny, festive lights all night. When morning comes, your Star Shower Ultra 9's built-in sensor will sense the morning light and turn off the light show until it's dark out again.
This type of device is capable of covering up to 3,200 square feet of the external walls of your home and even some of your yard with small festive lights. To put things into perspective, the average size of a home in the United States falls between 1,500 and 2,000 square feet, so this is quite a generous area of coverage. However, if you only want your lighting to appear in a smaller area, you can opt to place your Star Shower Ultra 9 within a few feet of your home.
This laser light is weather resistant, which means it can tolerate weather conditions such as freezing temperatures, rain, and snow without malfunctioning. If it stays warm out where you live for the whole year, it also won't have a problem tolerating that kind of climate. Keep in mind that if it does snow or rain, it's best to wipe off the front of the light with your hand so it can keep projecting as much light as possible.
For a spotlight that can project thousands of tiny lights, the Star Shower Ultra 9 comes in a fairly compact size—each one is barely bigger than a hair dryer or a coffee thermos. Therefore, most users will be able to carry their light around in one hand when it needs to be installed or moved, and its installation won't create an eyesore in any yard or garden.
As alluded to above, your laser light's automatic sensor will cause the light to turn on when it's dark and turn off when daylight emerges. That means you won't waste electricity on lighting your home during the day, nor will you annoy your neighbors by running your light show constantly.
If you want to expand your light show to a larger area, and you think one of these laser lights isn't enough, you'll be able to use two or more at once. In fact, while they're available as singles, they're also offered in sets of two, four, and six.
If you were to hang strings of twinkle lights from your home as decorations for the holiday season, you'd likely have to untangle them first before mounting a ladder in potentially snowy or icy conditions. Hanging strings of lights to adequately decorate a large house might take you an hour or more. On the other hand, with the Star Shower Ultra 9, the only physical labor you'll have to do is walk over to the desired spot and stick a stake in the ground. This will likely take you just a few seconds, and you probably won't be tired afterward.
Strings of twinkle lights often look wonderful when they're turned on at night, but during the daytime, they simply look like dark wires dangling from a house. Fortunately, if you use Star Shower Ultra 9 to illuminate your house in a festive way at nighttime, you won't have to worry about it looking ugly during the day. When the lights turn off for the daytime hours, they'll disappear without a trace, only to reappear again in the evening.
Users who decide they don't like the exact position of their Star Shower Ultra 9 can quickly pull it out of the ground and re-stake it. With this one movement, all of the device's tiny lights will move, too. This process stands in stark contrast to that of moving strings of hanging twinkle lights, which will likely require one or more scrambles up a ladder.
To make your home look more interesting, you may want to change your light setting each day. On Monday, you may want to use red lights that are blinking, while you'll use twinkling green lights on Tuesday, and so on. If you make slight changes to your lighting system by the day, you may find that your neighbors and other people in the area start paying lots of positive attention to your holiday decor.
If you live in a warm area and keep your outdoor pool open all winter, or you've got an indoor pool with windows, a Star Shower Ultra 9 can act as a source of illumination. You can stake it in the ground beside an outdoor pool or beside a large window that looks into an indoor pool. The illumination it offers will help keep people safe while creating a more festive, even romantic atmosphere than a large white spotlight or overhead light would.

I had the original star shower and I loved it. The star shower 9 won’t operate after dark I physically have to go and click the on button and wipe the lens. I’m sending it back and getting my money back!

This Star Shower Ultra9 only projects about 15 yards (with not much clarity at that distance). I purchased two units. One doesn't come on until about an hour after dark. I do not recommend it!
