The Stand-Up Scrubber is a moplike tool that's been created to help users remove stains (both dried-on and surface stains) from carpet and fabric-coated furniture. Each tool consists of a long handle that's been designed with sturdiness in mind, plus a head with two types of bristles, including rigid bristles for tough stains and softer bristles for removing surface stains. It's stated that when you use this tool to scrub your carpet, you won't have to get down on your hands and knees or work in a bent-over position.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Spray Stain With Cleaner

Before you can use your Stand-Up Scrubber to remove a stain on your carpet or a piece of furniture that's covered in fabric, you'll need to spray the stain with your chosen cleaning solution. Alternatively, if you don't have a spray bottle, you could pour a bit of the solution onto the stain. The scrubbing tool is compatible with any sort of cleaning solution that you'd normally use on carpeting.

  2. Choose Set of Bristles

Next, you'll have to decide which of the bristles on your device's head you're going to use and angle its head accordingly. You can use the more rigid green bristles, which have been designed to remove stubborn, dried-on stains, or make use of the softer yellow bristles if you're dealing with a newer surface stain.

  3. Scrub Carpet With Head

Once your device's head has been tilted in the appropriate direction, use it to scrub the stain on your carpet while pushing down on the device's handle at the same time. This will cause its thousands of spring-loaded bristles to sink deep into your carpeting (or a piece of fabric), and then lift and separate the stain there. Continue the scrubbing process until the stain can no longer be seen. If the stain is incredibly stubborn, you may need another portion of the cleaning solution you originally used.

  4. Let Carpet Dry

After you've removed a stain with your Stand-Up Scrubber, let the previously stained area of your carpeting (or furniture) dry for at least a few minutes. Following that, you can use the surface as you normally would. As for your tool, you can continue to use it to remove other stains or store it in a safe place until you need it again.

  • Long Handle

Each Stand-Up Scrubber has a long handle. In fact, when an adult of average height is standing up, and this tool is, too, the handle should come up higher than that person's waist. As a result, no one should have to strain their back by bending over when using this tool to scrub a stain. The handle itself shouldn't bend while you're using it, either, as it's been designed to be sturdy and durable.

  • Lightweight

You can consider this a lightweight cleaning tool to use, despite its height, as each one has a fairly small but powerful head and weighs just over one pound. Consequently, people who don't have a lot of upper body strength, or people with mobility issues (like seniors) will likely be able to use this tool to clean their carpets and furniture without struggling. While you're using it, you also won't need to be concerned about dragging a bucket of soap and water around behind you.

  • Works With Various Cleaners

Some cleaning devices will only do their job properly when used with cleaning solutions that contain certain ingredients, but that's not the case with the Stand-Up Scrubber. You can use any sort of cleaning solution you have lying around your house with this device, as long as it's been deemed suitable for cleaning carpeting or fabric in general. When you're done using the device with a particular solution, you can rinse the head, but it's not absolutely necessary.

Positive Points

  • Meant to Remove Food Stains

This scrubbing tool has been made to remove food and beverage stains, which are almost inevitable if you frequently eat at home, especially with children. If a spill has just hit the floor and hasn't had time to dry fully, you may be able to remove it by swiping it a few times with your device's soft bristles. On the other hand, if you find an old stain or you spill something stubborn like red wine or mustard, you'll be able to attack the stain more aggressively with the device's rigid bristles. Either way, you'll probably be finished in minutes.

  • Ideal for Pet Areas

Aside from your eating areas, any area where your pets hang out could also become full of stains, including those arising from waste or a cat or dog's muddy feet. If your pet goes to the bathroom on the floor or a piece of furniture, or they track dirt across either of those areas, your scrubbing tool will likely be able to eliminate the stain. As with food stains, you'll be able to choose which bristles you're going to use, based on the color and consistency of the stain and how long it's been present on a particular surface.

  • Will Use Little Storage Space

In comparison to a larger mop and bucket, this scrubbing tool will take up very little storage space. You'll be able to stand it straight up in a closet where you keep cleaning supplies, or if you don't have one of those, lean it against the wall in the corner of one room. If you want to take this device somewhere away from home in your vehicle, you should be able to fit it into all but the shortest of vehicles.

Negative Points

  • Only for Carpeting, Fabric

The Stand-Up Scrubber should work effectively on any type of carpeting or any piece of furniture that's covered with fabric, such as an easy chair. However, it may not work as nicely on surfaces that aren't coated in carpet or fabric, such as tile floors or pieces of furniture with exposed wooden surfaces. You could attempt to use this scrubbing tool to clean stains off of surfaces like that, but it might not be able to lift stains out of those materials properly.

  • No Extra Heads

It appears that there are no extra heads included with each Stand-Up Scrubber, so if the bristles on your tool wear out, you'll need to seek a replacement head on your own. If these are unavailable, you might end up having to get a whole new device, even if there's nothing wrong with your current device's handle.

Save Time

To clean stains off of your carpet (or fabric-covered pieces of furniture) without a tool like this one, you might have to crawl around on your hands and knees, scrubbing them with a rag. This could take hours, especially if you were to get tired in between stains and need a break. By using a Stand-Up Scrubber instead, though, you'd ensure that no crawling would be necessary. Moreover, since you'd barely need to bend your body, you might be able to clean up several stains in just a half-hour.
