Spin 'N Slice is a device that's been created to help you cut fruits and vegetables into thin slices that you can use to make wraps and various pasta dishes. It appears to be compatible with nearly all types of fruits and vegetables, as long as each one you run through it is roughly the same length as your device's blade. The large-scale aim of this device is to enable you to eat low-carb, low-fat versions of your favorite carbohydrate-filled meals.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Insert Fruit or Vegetable

To get started with this device, tip it so it's resting in a vertical manner, with its green wheel pointing downward, and choose a fruit or vegetable that you'd like to convert into thin slices. This could be a carrot, a tomato, a potato, an apple, or something else entirely. Position your fruit or vegetable against the device's blade, allowing the button at the bottom to puncture it and hold it more securely in place. If the fruit or veggie is tall enough, the button at the top will help hold it in place, too.

  2. Spin Device's Handle

Next, move your device back into a horizontal position and start spinning the green wheel with one hand (ideally, your dominant one). It's best to hold onto the device with the other hand, in order to keep it about a couple of inches in the air, as you do so. You'll notice that after you've started spinning the wheel, thin fruit or vegetable sheets will start coming out of the device, accumulating over time. Continue with the spinning until you've turned the entire fruit or vegetable you originally put into the device into sheets.

  3. Repeat Process (optional)

Once you're done with your first vegetable or piece of fruit, you can repeat the first two steps with as many fruits or veggies as you'd like. Otherwise, you can move on to the next step.

  4. Convert Into Food

With a bunch of fruit or vegetable sheets in front of you, your final task will be to convert them into some sort of meal. You could turn them into wraps that will hold other fruits or vegetables, use them in a lasagna, or fill them with cheese to make ravioli or cannelloni. The possibilities are many, but if you're not sure where to start, consult the included recipe booklet.

Features

  • Rubberized Handle

The handle of each Spin 'N Slice, which doubles as a spinning wheel, is rubberized. This makes it more comfortable for the human hand to hold than a handle that's made of hard plastic alone. Therefore, you may be able to spin your device's wheel for several minutes straight without getting a sore hand or fingers.

  • Stainless Steel Blade

The main cutting blade within each Spin 'N Slice is made of stainless steel. Stainless steel blades tend to remain sharp, even without frequent sharpening, and they're also less prone to rusting than blades made of some other types of metal. Whenever you place a vegetable or a piece of fruit in your device, that means it'll be unlikely to get stuck inside due to a dull blade or come out as sheets marred with rust.

  • Compact Device

This particular device is about the same size as a rolling pin, so it won't take up a great deal of space in your kitchen. If you want to keep it off your countertop, it'll likely fit into any drawer or cabinet in the room. When you're going on vacation, you may also want to toss the device into your vehicle somewhere, so you can enjoy a wide variety of healthy meals while you're on the road.

  • Fettuccine Blade Included

If you ever want to make thinner noodles out of vegetables or fruit, instead of wide sheets, the Spin 'N Slice comes with an interchangeable fettuccine blade. This blade will go exactly where the default one goes, and you can consult your instruction manual for more instructions as to how to swap the two safely. When you're not using the fettuccine blade, it comes with a blade cover to protect people's hands and fingers from getting cut.

Positive Points

  • Promotes Healthy Eating

Those users who need to lose weight for any reason can expect to be helped out by the Spin 'N Slice device. Once you start creating vegetable or fruit sheets with it and using these to make dishes you used to use pasta or bread for, your calorie and fat intake will automatically decrease. If you're gluten-sensitive, you may be happy that your gluten intake will also decrease. Even if you don't need to lose weight or completely cut out gluten, ingesting more fruits and vegetables will benefit your body's overall health, and will likely benefit your mental health, too.

  • No Electricity Required

The Slip 'N Slice is completely powered by the human who is using it, so you'll never need electricity or even a set of batteries to operate yours. That means you won't have to be concerned about your electricity bill going up if you use it frequently, nor will you have to keep suitable batteries on hand to continue with its use.

Negative Points

  • May Not Hold Tiny Food Items

Medium to large-sized fruits or vegetables will typically fit within this device without a problem, but it may not be able to accommodate tiny fruits or vegetables. This device is reliant on the fact that each fruit or veggie will be securely fastened at one end of the blade, at least, without much space between itself and the other end. If a fruit or vegetable is short and there's too much space between its body and the opposite end of the blade, it may simply fall out when you start spinning your device's wheel.

  • Might Not be Dishwasher Safe

It's not specified that this type of device is dishwasher safe, so unless you find that information within its packaging, you may have to hand-wash it. Although you may get away with rinsing it quickly after the first few uses, it should be given a thorough cleaning every few times that it's used. As you wash the current blade, regardless of whether you remove it from the rest of the device or not, you'll need to be extremely careful of your fingers.

Save Money

If you love delicious-tasting vegetarian meals, but you don't know exactly how to make them yourself, you may be a regular patron at vegetarian restaurants. However, after you've got a Spin 'N Slice and have delved into the included recipe booklet, you may no longer need to go to restaurants to consume those good-tasting veggie-based meals. You may instead develop the ability to make them at home with ordinary groceries.
