Just Pop It Snack Maker is a large red pot that you can use to make a variety of hot or cold snacks such as marshmallow treats, flavored popcorn and even macaroni and cheese. The blade within acts as a mixer and spatula in one, and all you'll need to do is turn the black handle on the pot's lid to use it. If you're making a snack that needs to be cooked, the pot is suitable for stove use, but you can stir up a cold snack with it on the table, too.
The cost of Snack Maker is $19.99 plus $7.95 shipping, for a total price of $27.94.
Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: snackmaker.com
The first step to using this device to make a snack is to choose up to three ingredients and funnel them into the black lid hatch with your hands. ( Do not put your fingers in the lid hatch, though. ) These will be the ingredients that'll get mixed and will eventually make up your dish as a whole.
Before you do anything else, you'll need to lock your pot's lid by turning it slightly to the right until you hear a small click. Next, if you're making a cold snack, simply place your pot on your table or countertop and begin turning the black handle on its lid in order to mix the ingredients within. Alternatively, for a hot snack, you can move the pot to your stovetop and mix the ingredients by turning the same handle while your snack cooks.
Once your snack has been stirred up for at least a couple of minutes ( and cooked, if necessary ) you'll be able to use the included measuring spoon to transfer it to bowls. If you're the only one eating the snack, you may even choose to eat it out of the pot instead of serving it to yourself in a dish.
The handle on the outside of each pot has been designed to stay cool, regardless of how much the pot is heated, so no one will ever burn themselves by touching it.
Each pot's lid contains straining holes ( next to the lid hatch ) that will come in handy when you're using the pot to make a pasta dish like macaroni and cheese.
If you're not sure where to start when it comes to making snacks with your Just Pop It Snack Maker, it fortunately comes with a recipe book that'll give you some ideas and inspiration.
Kids will have fun filling one of these pots with their favorite snack ingredients and then mixing them up together by turning the pot's uppermost handle. Even if a particular child is uncoordinated, there's little potential for error, especially if you're making a cold snack. If locked on properly, your pot's lid will always keep ingredients from spilling out onto your furniture or the floor.
There are some snack makers out there that will only make one type of snack, such as popcorn or snow cones, but this one will make almost anything. You'll be able to place almost any three ingredients of your choice in your pot's lid hatch for mixing, even ones that normally don't go together such as chocolate, cheese and dried apple bits.
The Just Pop It Snack Maker is an ideal choice for students or other young professionals who have limited time and space and are cooking for one. You'll be able to get all your ingredients ready, make your snack and serve it while using only one dish, so you won't have a stack of dishes to wash after eating. This pot will hold a little or a lot, so if you're on your own and don't eat much, you can choose not to make so much of a snack that you'll have leftovers.
Due to the fact that you can make almost anything within it, and you won't require electricity to make cold dishes, you'll probably find many uses for this pot during a camping trip. If you do have a portable camping stove or hot plate, you'll be able to use it on that, aside from your picnic table or even the ground.
It's stated that you can pass three ingredients through this pot's lid hatch comfortably, but if you prefer more complex snacks with more than three ingredients, you could have a problem. With more than three ingredients, the lid hatch might jam, or the mixer / spatula blade might get stuck.
While this device will make more than enough of any snack for a single person, and most average-sized families, too, it may not be the best choice if you're cooking for a massive group. If you decide to use it to make a snack for a group of more than seven people, you might have to make at least two batches, which will clearly take longer than making one.
Unless you're immediately making another snack with the same ingredients, you should wash your Just Pop It Snack Maker out after every use. It's dishwasher safe, but if it's not extremely dirty, you can rinse it at your sink instead. If using the dishwasher, remember to separate the lid from the rest of the pot.
