Skeeter Tornado is a cylinder-shaped device that's been designed to trap mosquitos inside a room or a small outdoor space so that they won't bite or otherwise bother people in that environment. It's specified that this device's UV light will attract, trap and kill mosquitoes and other flying insects without any action from you, aside from your press of the power button. When you decide to start using this type of device to eliminate pesky bugs, you'll be able to obtain one, two, three, or six units at a time.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Place on Flat Surface

Before you can use your Skeeter Tornado to eliminate mosquitoes and other flying bugs, you'll need to place it on a flat surface, such as a table, desk, or countertop. The hole in the middle of the device should be closer to the top, with more solid plastic at the bottom. If it appears to be the other way around, it's upside-down and you'll need to flip it vertically.

  2. Turn on the Device

Next, use the power button on the top of the device to turn it on so it can begin doing its work.

  3. Wait for Results

As you move on with other activities nearby, the device's UV light will begin to attract flying insects to its center. Once they fly into the center of the device, they'll get stuck in the tornadic spin inside the round hole, and eventually get vacuumed up. As they're vacuumed up, they'll drop into the canister at the base of the device that will act as a trap.

  4. Empty Trap

After one to a few days, be sure to detach the top of your device from its base. Following that, you'll notice a bunch of dead bugs in the base's canister. The canister must be emptied into a trash can before you attach the top and base of the device again. Once you do that, the device will be ready to be placed on a flat surface, where it can again be turned on.

How It Works

The center of each Skeeter Tornado contains four small but bright and powerful UV lights. Mosquitoes and some other flying insects are naturally attracted to UV light and will fly towards it without realizing that they're going to be sucked up by the device's rotating center hole. When they do realize that they're stuck in this rotating, tornado-like circle, it'll be too late for them to escape and they'll go around and around until they're no longer alive.

Features

  • Compact

Each dark gray Skeeter Tornado is only about the same size as a water or juice pitcher, which means that each one won't take up much space on any flat surface. If you need to move your device from room to room, or from one area to another outdoors, it's small enough that you'll likely be able to carry it in one hand.

  • For Indoor and Outdoor Use

As alluded to above, this device is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. While you may find it more useful indoors, where bugs tend to congregate in confined spaces, you may also find it helpful if you want to enjoy a pest-free night on your deck or patio. Regardless of where you place it, it's capable of eliminating mosquitoes from a small room or an open area of equivalent size.

  • USB Cable Included

When you need to recharge this device, you'll be able to plug it into any properly functioning USB port by using the included USB cable. As usual, one end will attach to the device and the other to an available port. If you're on the go, it may be a good idea to bring your laptop along with you so you can use one of its ports to power up this device, when necessary.

  • Whisper-Quiet

While your Skeeter Tornado is running, it'll be whisper-quiet instead of making a lot of noise. That means you'll be able to use it while you're sleeping, reading, or doing any sort of work without having the device distract you. The device's minimal noise also won't overpower the sound of any audio recordings you're listening to or any person you're talking with.

  • One to Six Units Available

If you've got a large home or office that tends to fill up with unwanted bugs, you may want to get more than one of these mosquito-eliminating devices. Obtaining six at a time is one option, while you can opt to get one, two, or three devices at once if the space you have to work with is smaller.

Positive Points

  • No Touching Bugs Involved

Regularly swatting bugs with your hands will require you to touch a lot of bugs, and you may end up with bug juice on your hands. Even swatting mosquitoes and other flying insects with a fly swatter will require you to do some physical work with at least one hand. Alternatively, if you use a Skeeter Tornado to rid your immediate environment of bugs, you'll be able to get rid of them without touching them or doing any work with your hands. Instead, both of your hands will be left free for work or other activities.

  • Doesn't Utilize Chemicals

Spraying yourself or your environment to help minimize the presence of bugs can be a workable solution, but the smell of chemicals will often cause people to get stuffed up and have trouble breathing. Fortunately, by using a Skeeter Tornado, you won't be introducing any chemicals into your environment at all, as it does all its work by using UV light. Unlike most chemical sprays, it also won't give off an odor that may be unpleasant.

  • Reduces Risk of Bites

Most everyone realizes that mosquito bites can be painful or itchy, but if you're able to remove mosquitoes from your immediate environment with this device, you won't have to deal with many bites. If you have any children under your care, they won't have to deal with the discomfort, either, and you may not use as much calamine lotion as you typically do in the warmer months. Plus, your household will have a lower risk of exposure to West Nile or Zika virus, which mosquitoes can carry.

  • Limits Buzzing in Environment

Besides bites, another pesky thing that comes from having a lot of bugs in your environment is the buzzing noises that they make. With lots of buzzing, you may not be able to concentrate on your work, your studies, or whatever you want to keep your mind on. If you use your Skeeter Tornado to eliminate flying insects from the room you're in, though, this will automatically result in less buzzing in the room.
