The new Shake On nail applicator is designed to make nail art easy. By simply mixing glitter into a glitter mixer, then affixing nail pods to the nails, kids can stick their fingers through the holes and shake. This applicator is small, perfect for being held by kids as they shake the glitter all over the nail pods. The end result? Glitter nails that are trendy and can easily be removed and replaced with a new color.
The cost of Shake On is $19.99 plus $4.99 shipping, for a total price of $24.98. This price was obtained from the As Seen on TV commercial page which was taken offline due to Shake On being discontinued. Shake On may still be found for sale on Amazon or Ebay.
It uses no chemicals to change colors. Rather than exposing children to unhealthy fumes associated with nail polish remover and nail polish, this applicator is safe and non-toxic.
Designed with kids in mind, the same pods that were stuck onto the nails can just be lifted away and tossed out when a color change is needed. Used glitter can be mixed together again in the glitter pot and a new set of nail pods attached.
The process can be repeated easily, giving kids the chance to change their nail color as often as they want.
This new nail product lets girls everywhere turn their boring and flat glitter nails into glamorous nails. They can stay up to day on current nail trends and look just like their favorite stars.
The hand piece can be filled with any glittery color combination. Then it just takes a shake or two to find the perfect hue.
The product is designed so that everything is housed in the small hand piece, keeping the mess inside and a clean space outside.
The Maraca style applicator is used to attach glitter to nails with just a shake. There is a small glitter holding pot at the end where glitter of all colors can be mixed with a snake and then tossed gently over the finger nails where it sticks.
This applicator comes with double-sided nail adhesives, glitter sachets, and a storage stand. Double-sided adhesives are designed to stick to the nails on one side.
Once the other side of the tape has been removed, the nails are put into the small nail holes and while holding the applicator, consumers shake it with their hand.
The shaking motion moves the glitter from its pot and covers the fingers until the glitter has stuck to the nail pods and the rest has landed safely back in the glitter pot.
Press the sticky tabs onto the finger nails.
Twist in the glitter color you want at the end.
Shake the wand and watch the glitter cover your nails.
It works, but not as easily as claimed. The sticky pods which affix to the nails are one size, but one size does not fit all. If used by children with smaller hands, the sticky nail pods might be too might. They are difficult to trim down too.
The pods are designed so that the front peels away from the pods, leaving the nails glittery and trendy, but this is not as simple as advertised either.
Additionally, there are only silver and purple glitter pods available for additional purchase, which limits the colors.
The glitter gets on the pods very easily, but it also gets all over the house. Unlike advertised, the glitter will shake all over the room in which it is used.
The reason for this is that the finger holes are one size one. If any user has fingers which to do completely fill the finger holes, then there is space inside for the glitter to escape when the device is shaken.
