Screen Sensation is a compact kit that's been created with the aim of enabling users to do their own screen printing at home. It's purported to be able to print images on a wide variety of surfaces besides ordinary paper, such as wallpaper, cards, and even fabric. As a result, if you experience success with this kit, you'll be able to create attractive-looking gifts for family members and friends without taking any sort of art lessons or visiting a screen printing shop.
The cost of Screen Sensation is $49.99 plus $9.99 shipping, for a total price of $59.98.

The first thing you'll need to do to start using your Screen Sensation is tape the included design screen to the back of the kit's frame. Each frame comes with a screen containing four designs, and while you can mask some of these off by covering them with paper, it's best to work with the full sheet on your first try. When you're taping the screen to the frame, be sure to use the included yellow fixing tape and tape the screen on with the design facing down, as you'll be flipping the frame afterward.
Next, flip your frame over so you can see the design on your screen, and open up the entire Screen Sensation compact in order to insert a piece of paper under the screen. When you become more experienced with screen printing, this piece of paper can be replaced by anything else, such as a garment made from fabric.
Now it'll be time to add ink to your design. To do so, open your black pot of ink and give it a stir with your palette knife. Then use the knife to spread ink liberally over the top inch and a half or so of your screen. It's better to use too much ink and have to wipe some off when you're done creating your design than to use too little and have the design appear to be too light.
For the next step, grab your rectangular squeegee and place its bottom edge at the top of the frame where you've added ink. Tilt the squeegee at a 45-degree angle towards yourself, and slowly and gently drag it along your entire screen. This will transfer the black ink to the screen so that the design on the screen can be created.
Once you're done working with your squeegee, open your compact again and pull the created design out. If it doesn't look perfect, you'll just need more practice! Remove any tape and wipe off excess ink with a damp cloth.
Although it's not labeled as completely non-toxic, and it should never be ingested by any living creature, the ink that comes in each Screen Sensation kit is made of environmentally friendly ingredients. Therefore, it won't harm the environment if you ever have to dispose of it, and while it's wet, it won't give off a bunch of chemical fumes for you to breathe in.
Unless you want to access additional information about screen printing, you won't have to use a smartphone app or computer in order to get started with one of these kits. Instead, all the information you need will be provided in your instructional leaflet. If you're looking for something fun to do that will also let you take a break from digital devices, you might find using one of these kits to be the perfect activity.
Each Screen Sensation compact holds a screen that's large enough (five by seven inches) to display four small designs simultaneously, but also small enough that you'll be able to carry it almost anywhere with you. The supplies that come with each kit won't take up much space in a purse, backpack or briefcase, either, and you won't need to be plugged into electricity to use them. You may find working with one of these kits to be a fun way to pass the time during your lunch break at work or your free time between classes at school.
This is totally optional, but once you've got a Screen Sensation kit, you can become a member of the VIP Club, which will give you access to tutorials and extra downloadable designs online. If you're looking to take your crafting to the next level, or are thinking of selling your designs at any point, this free membership may be of interest to you.
If you notice that you're good at screen printing, you may want to create screen-printed items for charity or sell them for a profit. However, you should consult the FAQs on the official website in order to review the Screen Sensation guidelines in regard to producing with an intent to sell. On the official website, you can also access a video tutorial that will show you how to create your own design screens and what materials you'll need for that.
With your screen-printed designs, you'll be able to add patterns to so many different objects that you'll be able to jazz up an entire boring room without the help of an interior decorator. Keep in mind, though, that there may be extra steps for you to take in order to add designs to objects that aren't flat like paper and fabric are.
If you want to impress your friends and family members with homemade gifts on special occasions, you might want to try your hand at making customized trinkets with your Screen Sensation kit. Once you get enough practice to make your designs look professional, a gift recipient may think their gift has come from a shop, but in actuality, no one else will have one exactly like it. Plus, if you think that one of your friends or family members will enjoy screen printing, too, you just might choose to give them a kit of their own.
When you pull a completed design out of your Screen Sensation compact, you won't be completely done with it, unless you've just put it on paper. If you've created it on fabric, you'll need to let the design dry and then iron the fabric for at least two minutes so that the heat sets. To transfer your design to a candle, you'll have to wrap the paper with the design in it against the candle by using wax paper and apply heat to it with a blow dryer.
If you've got some experience with screen-printing and want to work with a larger screen, you may want to obtain a deluxe version of this kit with a screen of 12 by 12 inches. The deluxe version also comes with a mixing bowl and 10 wooden mixing tools but does not come with pre-made designs.
