A Real Guitar Teachers Opinion
Lets get this straight, nobody in the music industry ever heard of Ralph Paul, outside of his infomercials. He is now a joke among professionals because of the ludicrous claims of thie infomercial. To assert that he is Ämerica's Best Guitar Teacher" is utter nonsense. Ralph is probably a nice enough guy and is happily laughing his way to the bank. Now it is true, there are many things which one can learn within a few moments. But the inference is that you will become a good musician without much real effort at all. I predict a lot of these DVDs in the trash, in yard sales and that people who are serious will soon learn they should look elsewhere. I have been a pro player and teacher for over 20 years. I only write this because it hurts me that someone is trying to sell this "method". Its like calling instant cake mix a recipe.

A Scam
You will learn nothing but how to play a few riffs and songs on guitar, but your not learning how to actually play or how to play correctly. Ralph paul claims you can play songs with one finger, this is not the truth and causes bad habits that any bedinner will become frustrated with later on. This will only show you how to play a few basic power cords and riffs that might sound cool and make it seem as if your learning to play, but sadly you can learn these exact same things for free on youtube!
