The PowerXL Stuffed Wafflizer is a countertop waffle maker that's purported to have a depth that's three times larger than that of a standard waffle-making machine. This device comes in two sizes, including one that will make waffles with a five-inch diameter and another (known as "family size") that'll make seven-inch waffles. The round, black 700-watt device has been designed for use with traditional waffle batter, along with other non-traditional options such as muffin dough or pizza dough.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Set up Waffle Maker

To set up your waffle maker for use, plug it into an electrical outlet and then place its deeper side on a table or countertop. Open up the lid so that the middle is ready for filling.

  2. Fill With Ingredients

Next, fill the inner container of the waffle maker with some dough, such as waffle batter, pancake batter, pizza dough, or muffin dough. Alternatively, you could also use a piece of bread or one side of a bagel in the dough's place. Following that, add ingredients of your choice, like meat, cheese, or even chocolate, and follow them up with another layer of dough (or a piece of bread or bagel half).

  3. Close and Cook

If the indicator light on the front of your waffle maker is on, that means it has preheated and you're ready to cook your first waffle. Otherwise, you'll have to wait a few minutes until it turns on. Once it's on, shut your device's lid and flip the device over to begin the cooking process. Now, the shallower side of your waffle maker should be resting against your countertop or table. Leave it that way for five or six minutes.

  4. Remove Waffle

After up to six minutes have passed, flip your device over again, open its lid and pull out the cooked waffle inside by using the kitchen utensils of your choice. Ready the waffle for serving, and if you're not going to make any more waffles at this time, wait a few minutes for the waffle maker to cool down. Once it has, use a damp cloth to wipe out any food residue, close the waffle maker, and then store it in a safe place.

How It Works

The PowerXL Stuffed Wafflizer is able to make Belgian waffles that are thick enough to hold multiple ingredients because of its deep cooking chamber. Some cooking chambers within similar devices are only a quarter of the size. If you don't want to add ingredients to the insides of your waffles, you'll also be able to use the cooking chamber of this device to make plain, two-inch-thick Belgian waffles. This can be done with virtually any type of baking dough you choose, regardless of whether you've made it from scratch or from a mix.

Features

  • Compact Size

The largest size of this waffle maker only measures 12.5 inches wide at its widest point, which means this device is a fairly compact one that'll fit in most cupboards. All of these waffle makers will actually fold up so that they can rest in a vertical position and save you space for other kitchenware in your cabinets. Plus, each one has legs to rest upon while it's in this position and a handle that'll allow you to carry it around in one hand.

  • 700 Watts of Power

On average, a microwave offers users between 600 and 1,200 watts of power, and this waffle-making device will offer you 700 watts. Logically, that means it's more powerful than some small microwaves, even though it'll take up less space on any countertop.

  • Works Quickly

If you decide to cook a waffle on the stove, it'll probably take you about 10 minutes, while one waffle can be cooked in your PowerXL Stuffed Wafflizer in five or six minutes. Therefore, if you're in a rush to prepare waffles for a group of people, using this machine is the better option. If you've got the larger size of this waffle maker and some kids with smaller bellies to feed, they might actually be willing to share a single waffle when it comes out.

  • PFOA-Free Plates

The two plates within each waffle-making device, which are the parts that will be directly touching the waffles, are free of the chemical compound PFOA. PFOA is still used in some pieces of kitchenware today, although it's potentially toxic for human and animal consumption.

  • Recipe Guide Included

With each PowerXL Stuffed Wafflizer, you'll receive a recipe guide that's compatible with the five-inch device or the family-sized (seven-inch) device. If you've only cooked plain, traditional waffles in the past, this guide may give you some inspiration as to what to stuff your waffles with at any meal.

Positive Points

  • Useful at Any Meal

While waffles are commonly thought of as breakfast food, using this machine to stuff waffles with various food items can make them appetizing at any meal. By stuffing them with cheese, meat, and tomato sauce at lunch or dinnertime, you can create personalized pizzas with this machine. When it's time for dessert, you may want to stuff them with sweeter things, like marshmallows, cooked apples, and cinnamon. You can even use them to up your vegetable intake by stuffing their insides with your favorite raw veggies.

  • Fast Cleaning Process

When you're done making waffles for a while, the process for cleaning this machine is quick and simple. All you'll need to do is grab a damp cloth and wipe down both the plates, along with any other part of the device that contains food residue. Whether you add soap to the cloth will depend on how dirty the device looks, although it's a good idea if you've stuffed your waffles with meat or dairy products. Keep in mind that the device should always be cooled off when you go to wipe it down, or you might burn your fingers.

Warnings

  • Don't Use Aerosol Sprays

It's acceptable to add oil to the plates of this waffle maker before using it to cook any number of waffles, although that will increase the calorie count of your waffles. On the other hand, it's unsafe to use aerosol cooking sprays in this type of machine, so you must always refrain from doing that.

  • Don't Place in Water

Wiping down this device with a cloth is fine, but it should never be placed in water, nor should it ever be run through your dishwasher. Doing either of these things could ruin the inner workings of this machine and make it non-functional.

Save Money

Those people who often consume waffles by themselves or with their family at restaurants may no longer feel the need to do so after getting a PowerXL Stuffed Wafflizer. If you're one of those people, you'll be able to make more waffles at home without shelling out as much cash, and you may have more fun doing so, too.
