Is PowerXL Duo NutriSealer a scam or a great buy?
The PowerXL Duo NutriSealer is a device for kitchen use that's been designed to create an airtight double vacuum-seal on almost any bag that's holding almost any ingredient. Each compact device is approximately 18 inches long, with approximately three inches of width and depth, while weighing about 2.4 pounds. It's specified that you'll be able to seal up almost anything within a bag, including liquids or creams, and each tool comes with a set of 100 bags with measurements that'll suit the device.
The cost of PowerXL Duo NutriSealer is $99.99 and the shipping is FREE!
Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: buyduonutrisealer.com
To start using your PowerXL Duo NutriSealer, pick up one of the included bags from the set of 100 and add the item(s) of your choice. Most commonly, this may be a food item, such as a hunk of cheese, some vegetables, or even a sauce that's to be used on a meal. However, you could also add something like small beads or creamy shampoo or conditioner to a bag—nearly anything goes, as long as the bag isn't overfilled, with substances spilling out the top.
Next, after making sure your sealing device is plugged in and sitting on a flat surface, lift up the top layer. Place the opening of your filled bag between the top and bottom layers, as if you're adding a section of hair to a straightening iron. As you do this, be sure that you only touch the gray plastic on the outside of the device, and not the inner mechanisms. When you're done, push the top layer gently down on top of the bottom one again to enable your bag to be gripped between the two.
To seal your bag, press the top button of three on your device in order to kick-start the process of all the air being removed from your bag. Once the air has been removed, the appliance's inner sensor will recognize this and automatically seal your bag with a double vacuum seal.
Finally, once your bag has been sealed, you can lift up the top layer of your sealing tool once again and remove the bag. You'll then be able to store it in your refrigerator, your freezer, a cupboard, or elsewhere without worrying about the seal breaking open and the properties of what's inside being lost. When you need what's inside, you'll have to cut the sealed bag open with scissors or your device's slicer.
Other appliances that will perform the same function as the PowerXL Duo NutriSealer appear to be bulky and heavy, but this one weighs less than two and a half pounds. That means most people will be able to carry it around their kitchen or to a vehicle and back without a struggle. This kitchen appliance is also very slim, even though it has a fair amount of length, so it'll take up less space on a counter than an appliance that's both long and wide. Nonetheless, it'll be capable of sealing up plastic bags measuring up to 11 inches wide.
If you want to cut down a bag so that it's smaller than 11 inches wide, you'll be able to do so with this tool's built-in slicer. To make a slice anywhere on a bag, clamp the bag between the two layers of your device at your chosen point, and push the small black button across the device in the opposite direction. This will allow the bag to be cut all the way across.
The 100 sealable bags you'll receive with each PowerXL Duo NutriSealer are free of a potentially harmful chemical compound that's known as BPA and is still found in some plastic kitchenware products. Due to their BPA-free nature, you'll be able to use these bags for edible items without being concerned about exposing yourself or anyone who eats your food to toxicity.
Every one of these sealing devices has a built-in drip tray at its base, which will catch any stray pieces of food or liquid drips as you use the device to seal bags. That way, the countertop or table you're using your device on will stay as clean as possible, and you can shake the trapped droppings into a garbage can when you're done using the tool. Cleaning the outside of the PowerXL Duo NutriSealer is also a simple task, as you can just wipe the gray parts clean with a warm, wet dishcloth.
You may have noticed that if you store food in bags or containers that aren't completely secure, it ends up going moldy, getting freezer-burned, or just losing some of its original good taste. This will be far less likely to happen once you start using your PowerXL Duo Nutri Sealer to seal up solid and liquid food items, though. The seal will be so airtight that you'll have to cut it open yourself, so the food won't be exposed to cold air or anything besides itself, and should retain its original properties.
If you've got fridges or cupboards that are full of oversized bags or containers that have been haphazardly sealed with different plastic clamps or clothespins, your kitchen may look messy. Fortunately, if you get rid of those clothespins, clamps, and large containers, and vacuum-seal appropriately sized bags with your sealing device instead, things'll look cleaner. The fact that the device will suck all unnecessary air out of each bag before sealing it—something that closing a bag with a clamp won't do—will make each one utilize as little space as possible.
To help you with your kitchen-related needs, aside from the 100 bags you'll get with each small appliance, you'll also receive a recipe book, two containers, two jar sealers, and a wine bottle sealer. If you decide to make any of the recipes in your book, you'll be able to use your sealing device to seal off each ingredient in a separate, uncontaminated bag before you start cooking.
To be properly used, this appliance must be plugged in, so it follows that you'll use electricity at home or elsewhere whenever you use it. Meanwhile, sealing a bag with a clothespin or clamp won't, of course, involve any use of electricity or batteries. Without electricity, the only function you may be able to use within your sealing appliance is the built-in slicer.
If you want to teach a child under your care to use the PowerXL Duo NutriSealer, it's vital that you supervise them as they use it. Instruct them only to touch the gray plastic parts of the device, without putting their fingers in between the layers where the bag should go, and follow this rule yourself, too.

Buyer beware, this is the worst thing I have ever bought, that's what I get for believing what I see on TV. Does not vacuum and seal, when I can get the vacuum to work it will not seal.

Got one and they state that 11 wide rolls will work with the unit. That is wrong because the air channel won't accept an 11-wide bag. But their support says it does. Then why are the rolls that they send with tie units only 10.2 in wide? Their support needs to test out the product to verify the size of the bags that work with it.

I purchased this product and it really only worked some. It was hard to get the right spot to get the machine to actually vacuum out the air. It worked for about 2 months and then stopped turning on. My son took it apart and found the plug that runs it had come unplugged. He re-plugged it together and it worked for about a week and then stopped vacuuming the air out totally. It is now past the warranty time so I am left with a worthless item I paid 100.00 for. Do not waste your money or time.

I should have read the reviews because they we're ALL NEGATIVE!
Hasn't worked well from the very start.
I Have notified the company but have yet to hear from them, and I'm very skeptical anything will be resolved according to the other reviews.
Very bad for this company. They should be banned and fined!

I ordered 2 sealers neither of which I could get to work. On the first one I called, got a very patient person, he guided me on how to use, told me how to void sale. Good so far. The second one worked 2 times. I come home from grocery and start dividing and bagging. Soon I am sweating and dropping and trying again and again. Making new bags, no luck. Try again a couple days later, same thing. I finally call to send back 2nd one. Had trouble understanding him. That made him mad. Sending it back with all the restocking and postage and special charges would be real spendy so we tried following his instructions. It vacuumed with no bag but would not vacuum a bag. Now he says must have 4 to 5 inches from object sealing and I try that. When it does not work and I calmly tell him I measured it, he had hung up. I guess I just throw it out and eat the $250.00. Good luck if you get one.

The product construct is feeble. I have to find a separate product to stabilize the Power XL Nutrasealer on my countertop. It rocks and turns while trying to seal food. Not at all what it's presented to be in the commercial. If I would have been wise, I would have shopped around first. WARNING.

Shame on me for not reading the reviews before spending my hard-earned money on this Piece Of Junk. I would have done better to throw my money out in the street for someone to run over.
Please spend the money and purchase a quality product believe me you get what you pay for.

I bought two during a late-night TV binge. I decided to return them based solely on reviews. I returned them in unopened packaging within two days of my shipment arrival. I sent them UPS with complete instructions as advised in the return policy and after speaking to a Power XL representative to obtain a return authorization number. It's been over one month and I have not received a refund. Now, I can't get anyone on the phone. They do not answer their calls. Just silence after listening to their recordings.

Does NOT vacuum air at all. Great at cutting the bag and sealing. Not worth the price and too late to send back to QVC, maybe. Going with it’s a Christmas present.

Do not fall for that crap my first one arrived and I tried to get it to work for days before I realized that there was a part missing and so I waited for my second one to arrive, and when it did, I checked out that box and yes, that part the part for the vacuum ceiling was missing and in the new box I got there were double rolls of bags in the first box them rolls had a really been used and they were halfway gone I would not buy a product from that company ever again after looking at the comments I realize it’s not worth trying to send it back for a refund. I have one that works for how long idk and one that doesn’t I feel ripped off. Now I have to buy one from Walmart.

Purchased sealer Oct 9, 2022. Received about Oct 24. Never worked out of the box. NO POWER. Would not run. Contacted company on or about Oct 25, 2022. Was told to take pictures. Before cutting the electric cord and after cutting the elec cord. Sent them to an email address given to me by phone. To date, no word has been received or a new machine received. It is now December 9, 2022. Junk. Pretty frustrating.

Do not buy, this is a typical bait and switch, it is obvious that the unit they show on TV is not what they send out, the only thing this is good for is cutting excess off bags and sealing those bags.

After using it for 5 months, it no longer will fully vacuum out of the bag. It will seal but not vacuum fully. I will go back to my food saver and recommend you do not waste your money. Also, it will only seal their brand bags. That is my experience. I have been using vacuum sealers for 35 years.

What kind of vacuum sealers have you successfully used? I got a NutriChef Vacuum Sealer last Christmas that I used a few times & it was great. Now it won't lock, so it won't vacuum or seal & nothing seems broken off to make it unlockable. Thanks for your above review.
I've been using a basic Foodsaver for the last 6 years or so. Just the basic model, no fancy bells or whistles. I use it several times every week and it always works. For liquids, soups, casseroles, etc I pack them into 24 oz plastic containers; freeze them, then pop out and seal the "bricks" which stack nicely in my freezer. I do occasionally wipe off the seals with a wet cloth and I have an extra set of seals I might replace someday. It was cheap and it always works. I also reseal my chips and other snacks in the original bags to keep them fresher than a bag clip.
My stepmom wanted one of these for Christmas but after reading the reviews I think I will get her a food saver like mine as I bought mine from Walmart and it's still working.

This junk never worked. Got frustrated and gave up. Came back and tried again a month later. On the first attempt, it started smoking and fried itself. Stay away.

Just received my PowerXL Duo NutriSealer today, and after 5 bags, unit quit sealing. I let the unit cool down for more than 1-2 minutes, and still nada. Also does not vacuum/seal. Unit will vacuum, then maybe seal on the Separate button. But still shouldn’t be this complicated. Definitely not as advertised on TV. Emailed customer service, waiting for response.

I was about to order this from the TV but thought I'd just investigate a little further. Glad I did. Looks like I made the right decision. Seems I saved myself some money and s lot of aggravation.

Good concept but a cheap piece of Junk. Lightweight, yes. Poorly constructed from cheap material. Not the vacuum seal as advertised. No on or off switch. Save money and disappointment. Do not buy it. It does seal double seal. No way they tested it against other sealers. Save your money.
