To start using this type of blender, place the base on a flat surface, such as a countertop or your kitchen table, and attach the six-cup transparent jar to the base. Give the jar a little wiggle to make sure it's securely in place. Its handle should be facing to either the left or right side.
Next, plug your blender into an electrical outlet by using the attached extension cord. If you need to, move the blender and its jar closer to the outlet before doing so.
With your blender plugged in, it'll be time to add the ingredients that you want to blend, such as a bunch of fresh fruits or veggies you've chopped up for a smoothie, to the jar. These ingredients should be food items unless you want to crush some larger cubes of ice instead. If you want to add any liquids to your mixture, you should also add them at this point.
Once you have your desired ingredients inside your appliance's jar, add the black lid to the jar. Select a speed setting (low, high, low pulse, or high pulse) and use the appropriately labeled button on the front of the blender's base to start it up. For continuous blending, push down repeatedly on the top of the blender's jar. Keep in mind that if you use one of the pulse settings, you'll have to keep your finger on the appropriate button at the same time.
When you think that you've blended the ingredients in your blender's jar for long enough, stop pushing on the top of the jar. Use the far-left button on the base to turn the blender off completely. Whether you unplug the blender after use is up to you.
Some blenders don't have powerful motors, so if you add fairly thick ingredients to them for blending, you may have to stop and stir the blended mixtures yourself. However, you shouldn't have to do this with the PowerXL Boost Blender, as it offers 800 watts of power at its maximum intensity. Furthermore, its blades will spin at a rate of up to 100 miles an hour. No matter what you're blending inside it, the appliance's blade boost technology will bypass any air pockets to grab the ingredients at the top and mix them with the others in a vortex-like style.
The blades inside each PowerXL Boost Blender have been crafted from stainless steel, a material that's known for being both durable and sharp. Therefore, these blades will be able to cut through virtually any food item quickly without breaking. While blades made from a lower-quality metal might break after a few months of use, these ones may last for years before you'll even need to think of replacing them or getting a new blender. Stainless steel's also rust-resistant, so there's little chance that you'll end up with rust in your blended food or drinks.
The jar that you'll be attaching to the base of each blender for blending purposes will hold up to six cups of blended food at a time. This makes it an ideal device to use when you want to blend smoothies, sauces, soups, or other mixtures for an entire family or group of friends. If you don't eat everything you've blended, you can always refrigerate it or freeze it (in a different container) for later.
Each blender's jar also has a built-in pour spout, with a shape that will make you far less likely to spill any blended mixture as you pour it into another container or dish. As you pour, you can further reduce your chances of spilling by hanging onto the jar's built-in handle.
The PowerXL Boost Blender's jar is dishwasher safe, so if you've got a dishwasher, you won't ever have to scrub yours by hand. It's a nice idea to give it a rinse-off before putting it in your dishwasher, though, to rinse away any large bits of food that may be clinging to its insides. Keep in mind, too, that the black part of the blender should never be placed in a dishwasher.
When you look at the lid of your blender's jar, you'll notice that you can remove its center to create a small hole in the top. If you ever think you need to add more liquid to a blended mixture after you've finished blending it, you can use this hole to pour it in instead of taking off the entire lid. You can also do this in the middle of a blending session—just remember to add the center cap back on immediately when you're done. Removing just the center cap will reduce your risk of making a mess.
With a blender like this one to blend up a variety of liquified meals quickly and efficiently, without any lumps to displease the palate, you may be more inclined to eat healthily. If taking the time to eat whole fruits and vegetables doesn't appeal to you, you may enjoy the quicker process of drinking them down in a smoothie you've made with this type of blender. Your kids may not even know they're eating vegetables if you make smoothies that include them with this appliance!
Aside from the six-cup jar that comes with each of these blenders, you'll also get a single-serving jar. You can add the single-serving jar to the larger jar's usual place on top of your blender's base, if you'd like, or pour a mixture from the larger jar into the smaller jar after blending. The smaller jar is more portable and comes with a lid that'll stop it from dribbling while you're on the go.
If you've got a busy household, you'll be pleased to know that the PowerXL Boost Blender has been deemed capable of blending food items (or ice) up to 50 percent faster than standard electric blenders. As a result, you'll not only be able to consume healthy meals more quickly, but you'll be able to prepare them more quickly than you would with a different blender, too.
