The remote is synced up with three separate lights, which will respond to any of the four commands you choose. You can space these lights out throughout the house, use them to illuminate a room or in any poorly lit space.
The lights come outfitted with a ready to peel double sided tape strong enough to support itself no matter where you place the fixture. You will not need any tools or hardware to mount this light, which makes it a good option for people who do not consider themselves handy.
There are now two options for turning on the Bell Howell lights: simply push the light or use the Power Remote. The Power Remote was designed for those lights you choose to install hard to reach areas. You may place the lights on a high beam in the ceiling or somewhere that would emit the most light for the area, but not within arms reach.
The Power Remote can be kept in the room the lights are installed in to guarantee that it is never misplaced and that you can always turn your lights on. Included with this product is a storage clip that can be easily stuck onto any surface at eye level, preferably near the door of a room, to make sure you always can control your lights.
If you know you will be in a place for an extended period of time, you can choose the 30minute function which keeps them shining for the allotted time. This ensures that the lights are not left on unintentionally as it will shut off automatically.
The LED lights, though offering maximum illumination, can be too harsh in some settings and can be dimmed. This is especially important if the light is near you when you are in the room, which could cause unnecessary headaches, eye strain and general feelings of anxiety. You can always switch between the full power and softer lighting that is controlled by Bell Howell Power Remote.
The bulbs can be counted on for 20, 000 hours. It can provide over eight hundred days of light or over two years of power. You will not have to be including light bulbs on your shopping list, which is a small way to save money.
The LED lights used are much more efficient in the energy consumed and are considerably more durable if the light was to fall on the floor. This dimming feature would not be possible if Bell & Howell did not use high quality LED light in their fixtures.
If you are not satisfied with the performance of the product in your home you can mail the product back to the company to either receive your money back or a functioning product.
Bell & Howell offers free domestic and Canadian shipping and handling. This offer is rare, especially for a product shipping internationally to Canada. It is just like buying the product in a store with no unexpected fees tacked onto the companies price.
If there was to ever be an electrical surge or storm in your area that took away your electricity you would not have to worry about losing Bell & Howell's lights. The lights power is self-contained, not reliant on any grid system and can still be controlled by the battery operated remote without electricity. These lights not only are convenient but can act as a safety feature in any home or space.
Even though the lights will not need to be replaced frequently the Power Remote will need new batteries every once and a while. The remote is not rechargeable unfortunately and will require new batteries if used frequently.
Nightlights offer similar illumination for dark corners of spaces, but they require an outlet to work. The Bell & Howell Power Remote while set to the dimmer mode can offer a softer glow for your house at night without turning on the main overhead lights. Your eyes, in the middle of the night, can be sensitive to light and may need a faint glow to navigate your hallways, rooms and stairs. Many other companies offer a light fixture that is a touch activated device but does not offer the option of having remote control access.
Clear away anything that would obstruct the light you are sticking to the wall to have maximum illumination. Make sure you have a step ladder and proper footwear if you are placing the light in a higher location.
Every light has a peel and stick adhesive on the back that you can stick onto the surface. Do not take this layer of paper off until you are certain of the placement.
Stick the shelf somewhere out in the open on an unobstructed part of your wall. You want it to be easy to drop off the remote after you are done using it.
If you are going to be in a room for a decent amount of time choose the thirty-minute timer to not worry about the lighting. The lights full blast LED power may be too bright and require you to activate the dimmer or adjustment buttons. Just don't forget to turn off your lights with you Bell & Howell Power Remote before you leave the room.
Installing light fixtures in closets, sheds, outdoor areas or any other inaccessible place can become an electrical mess. You would need to pay for both the labor of an electrician and the parts necessary to install the light. Depending on your homes electrical wiring it may prove more difficult to introduce a new light to the circuit and cost you more money for the hired professional time. With the Bell and Howell Power Remote you won't have to go the hardware store to pick up mounting supplies since it already has an adhesive built into the back of the light.

Thought it looked like a good deal. Then when I received them and opened them I realized that each set would take 12 aaa batteries. Well that was an additional 17.00$. Tried them out 4 days in a row at 30 minute intervals. After which the batteries had less than 40% charge left. They should CLEARLY say that A: batteries are required B: That they are not included. Plus the construction id cheap. Go to Canadian tire and buy proper ones there. (or an electronics store that has batteries included.

I had high hopes for this product, my elation turned to disappointment very quickly. The remote did not work out of the package, so emailed company, who sent a replacement (good service). Unfortunately, the replacement did not work either. In addition, the lights burned the batteries out very quickly. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Save your money.
