How It Works

When you don't pay close attention to your posture, your neck, back, and shoulders may begin to slump forward. Following that, pain may begin to occur, and you may appear less confident due to this slouching position. Plus, your clothes may not fit you as nicely when you're hunched over. In order to help you with these issues, you can put on a Posture Doctor, which will gently pull your shoulders back as they begin to slump, thereby correcting your poor posture. As your shoulders gently move backward, your spine and neck should automatically straighten at the same time. This may feel odd at first, but over a time period of several hours, it'll ultimately be more comfortable than slouching.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Slip Device On

To put this device on for the first time, you can either stand up or lie down, and you can put it on over or under your clothes. Regardless of your position, make sure the V-shaped part of the device is resting flat against your back, and then pull the straps up over each of your shoulders. Once you've got the device on properly, all you should be able to see from the front are the two shoulder straps, which resemble backpack straps.

  2. Adjust Straps

If the shoulder straps on your device feel super-loose, it's best to adjust them. To do so, grab the two tails that you'll notice are hanging from the straps (one on each side), and pull them upwards. This will cinch the straps so that they're resting a bit more tightly against your shoulders. However, they shouldn't be so tight that it feels like they're digging in. If they already feel fairly tight to start with, you may be able to skip this adjustment step.

  3. Go About Your Day

As long as you're not going to be heading into any body of water, you'll be able to wear this device while you go about your daily activities. It's made of lightweight, flexible and breathable material, so it won't restrict your movement as you type on a computer, complete household chores, work at a physical job or do something else entirely. Keep in mind that you should remove your Posture Doctor before you go to sleep, though.

  • Discreet

There's nothing wrong with showing people your Posture Doctor as you wear it, but if you want it to be discreet, it'll be invisible under most pieces of clothing. You can wear one of these garments over your clothes, but you may choose to wear yours underneath if you don't want coworkers, athletic competitors or anyone else asking you questions about it. Unlike some posture-correcting devices, this one doesn't cover the waistline, so wearing it under a fitted shirt won't make you look as if you've put on weight.

  • One Size Fits All

The Posture Doctor comes in one size that's been designed to fit all adult men and women, once the adjustable straps on each one have been taken into account. As a result, you'll have the option of sharing your device with friends or family members who are also experiencing postural issues. The adjustment of the straps normally only takes a few seconds, so switching users won't be a complicated, time-consuming process. Teenagers and larger children may be able to comfortably wear one of these devices, too, but you should check with their doctor first.

  • Infused With Copper

Copper is directly woven into each Posture Doctor and will act as an odor-reducing agent, helping eliminate the scent of sweat that might present itself as someone wears their device. Due to this odor reduction, yours probably won't stink at the end of the day, even if you've been physically active. Furthermore, you may be able to wash the device every few days instead of every single day.

Positive Points

  • Aids With Muscle Memory

After you wear your Posture Doctor a few times, its effects may linger, and you may sit or stand with good posture even while you're not wearing the device. That's because the good posture you use while you're wearing it will likely end up being stored in your muscle memory, and will start to come more naturally to you than it previously did.

  • Ideal For Long Drives

One place where people tend to sit with especially bad posture is in the car (even as passengers), and it can worsen as a long drive progresses. Your Posture Doctor will come in handy during a long drive, though, as it'll gently realign your upper body as soon as it starts to drift into a less-than-ideal position. Plus, its gentle adjustments won't interfere with the way you operate your steering wheel or your gearshift.

  • May Improve Balance

When you're not standing in an ideal position, and your body's not aligned, you may be more likely to stumble or fall, especially if you suffer from any mobility issues. Fortunately, by putting your entire upper body in a straight line, all the way from your neck to your lower back, your Posture Doctor will likely reduce the chance that you'll lose your balance. Better balance will be beneficial not only when you're walking along at a comfortable pace, but also during any other athletic activities you might partake in.

Negative Points

  • Can't Sleep In It

The Posture Doctor isn't meant to be worn in bed, so if your posture sometimes goes out of whack (perhaps causing you pain) while you sleep, you'll need to find another solution for that problem. You could attempt to sleep while wearing one of these devices, but wearing one in bed won't be anywhere near as comfortable as wearing one while sitting or standing up is.

  • Don't Wear In Water

It's unclear whether the material used to create each Posture Doctor is able to withstand extended exposure to water, so you should keep yours out of your pool, your shower or any body of water. Before washing this device, you must also consult your instruction manual for specific washing instructions, so as to avoid damaging its material.

Save Money

Once you start wearing one of these pain-relieving devices even occasionally, you might find that you don't need as many chiropractor's appointments or pain-relieving pills and ointments, if you used these things in the past. Even if you don't eliminate these treatments completely, wearing one of these garments a few times a week may enable you to dramatically cut back on them.

Digs into Shoulders

Helps posture but digs into shoulders. I tried adjusting, but still digs and not "invisible" under clothing.

Ripped Off

I ordered 3 Posture Doctors and paid way more than advertised including priority shipping. After a month I received 1. After a few weeks of emailing them to find out if I am going to get what I paid for or a refund, they refuse to acknowledge me. As a customer of theirs, I find this appalling. My next email is to the better business bureau.

Rip Off

The minute I hit process order I was ripped off. The add indicated FREE SHIPPING. When they showed my order total it indicated shipping and handling were nearly $30.
