Platinum 20 Seconds is a kit you can use to remove virtually any scratch or scrape from a car, truck, van, boat, motorcycle or RV in as little as 20 seconds. Each kit consists of a squirt bottle of solution that contains enough to remove up to 100 scratches, and a spongelike applicator that you'll use to apply it. Once you use this kit to treat scratches on your motorized vehicles, the vehicles will look new again and paint that has lost its luster will once again shine.
The cost of Platinum 20 Seconds is $19.95 and the shipping is FREE! Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: platinum20seconds.com
To start using your scratch removal kit, squirt some of your Platinum 20 Seconds solution onto your spongelike applicator. You'll only need a dollop, so don't cover the whole applicator. The solution should appear to be creamy and white once you've squirted it out of its bottle.
Next, gently rub the side of your applicator containing the scratch removal solution against the scratch you want to treat. Continue doing this for 20 seconds. After that, you should notice that at least some, if not all of the scratch has disappeared. If there's still a bit left, keep rubbing until it's completely gone.
Finally, once the scratch or scrape you've been treating has disappeared, buff the formerly affected area with a fabric cloth. You'll need to obtain one on your own, as a cloth is not included with each kit. This buffing action will help restore the attractiveness and shine of the vehicle you've treated, but you'll need to be gentle while buffing, so you don't create any new scratches.
Any kind of finish on any motorized vehicle consists of multiple layers, and when you apply your Platinum 20 Seconds solution to a vehicle, its ingredients will bind those layers back together. That'll make scratches—which come about due to breaks between layers—literally disappear before your eyes. Rubbing the scratched area of your vehicle with the spongelike applicator and then buffing it with a cloth will also restore a painted vehicle's original shine (if it has diminished over time). Due to the engineering of each of these kits, all of this will happen in just a couple of minutes or less.
The design of these kits was developed by German engineers over a period of three years. As a result, one can assume that the engineers had enough time to extensively test the effectiveness of the ingredients and determine if there would be any risk involved with these kits.
The squirt bottle of solution within each kit is a generous size, and if the scratches you need to treat are fairly small surface scratches, you'll be able to fix about 100 with one bottle.
The Platinum 20 Seconds solution is white, so you'll be able to see it clearly against the backdrop of your dark gray applicator. Therefore, you'll be able to keep track of exactly how much you're using. The solution is also creamy, so it won't be as likely to spill and make a mess as a liquid solution is.
The applicator included in each kit is round and compact, which will enable you to hold it in one hand and turn it in smooth circles or half-circles. If you were to move it back and forth in straight lines instead, it could end up putting streaks on the surface of your vehicle(s).
Platinum 20 Seconds will work on vehicles of any make, model, or color, including vehicles that are normally used in the water. It also won't matter how old a vehicle is or how long any particular scratch has been on its surface—it'll treat any scratch in just the same way. That makes it an ideal kit to use to treat scraped-up old cars or other vehicles if you want to avoid replacing them for a little while longer.
If you've got an expensive car of any age, but especially a new one, getting a scratch on it can be a calamity, since the value of your car may automatically decrease. The same goes for expensive vehicles of other types. Fortunately, with one of these kits, you'll be able to remove scratches and scrapes almost immediately and enable any vehicle to maintain its original value.
Those users who aren't into spending tons of time working on their vehicles, but still want them to look nice, will be relieved that treating one scratch will take a couple of minutes at most. Even if you've got a few scratches to treat on a car, boat, or some other motorized vehicle, you won't have to spend the whole day or even half a day doing so. There won't be much cleanup when you're done, either, besides putting your supplies away until the next use.
To go through all three steps associated with using one of these kits, you'll need to have your own buffing cloth. While most people won't find it too difficult to produce one, it doesn't seem as if it would be difficult for the company to throw one into each kit, either.
Another potential inconvenience associated with these kits is that replacement squirt bottles of solution aren't currently available. Even if your spongelike applicator is still working fine, if you run out of your solution, you'll need to get a completely new kit with another applicator.
These kits have been designed to repair and eliminate scratches on vehicles only, not household appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators and the like. If you were to try and use your solution and applicator on a household appliance, the ingredients of the solution may be too rough on the more delicate finish of a home appliance.
Whatever you do, don't use too much of your Platinum 20 Seconds solution. A dollop that's about a quarter inch or even an eighth of an inch wide will remove most scratches, so if you use more than that, you'll end up wasting your solution.
It's not stated that the squirt solution in each kit is non-toxic, so you should consider it potentially toxic and keep it away from children and animals. If a teenager wants to learn how to use it to repair a vehicle, demonstrate the process and then supervise them as they give it a try.
As mentioned, there's no major cleanup involved with these kits, but if there's any excess solution left behind on your applicator, you should wipe that off when you're done using it. Otherwise, it may dry on your applicator and become hard, crusty and difficult to remove. This, in turn, could make your applicator hard to use the next time.
