Features

  • Sleek Gray Design

Since they're made primarily from granitestone, each piece of kitchenware in these sets has a sleek gray design. A riveted metal handle with black ends that'll stay cool to the touch is also attached to each pot or pan. Plus, the lid of each granitestone sauce pot will have a similar handle attached to it via double rivets on opposite sides.

  • Scratch-Proof

While metal utensils can ruin the surface of some pots and pans by scratching them and causing pieces of their inner coating to fall into your food, that won't be the case with these. Granitestone Personal Pans are completely scratch-proof, so if you prefer metal utensils, you can use them within these pieces of kitchenware without worrying about damage. If you prefer to use plastic or wood utensils, you can certainly keep on using those, though.

  • Non-Stick Inner Surfaces

Each piece of kitchenware in this type of set will have a non-stick inner surface. That means you won't need to add potentially calorie-laden butter or oil to the pot or pan you're using before you add other ingredients. You also won't need to make use of cooking sprays. Instead, any type of food, including melted and burnt-on cheese, should slide off the pan after just a tap with a fork or a spoon.

  • Can Use in Oven

You'll be able to use these pots and pans in your oven, to make dishes like desserts and pizzas, as long as you don't turn the oven's temperature up further than 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Dishwasher Safe

When your pots and pans need to be cleaned, it'll be safe for you to load them in your dishwasher, if you have one. Due to their fairly compact size, in comparison to many pots and pans that are available these days, you likely won't have a problem fitting them in. If you don't have a dishwasher, you should be able to wash any of these pieces of kitchenware quickly with soap, water, and a cloth. An excessive amount of scrubbing should not be required, because of their non-stick nature.

Positive Points

  • Stackable

Regardless of whether you get the two-piece or the three-piece set, your set of pans will be stackable. With the three-piece set, it's best to place the square pan at the bottom of the stack, and then add the round pan, followed by the round pot, on top of that. If you have just a two-piece set, simply place the pot in the round pan before you store your kitchenware away. The stackable nature of these pots and pans will allow them to take up less space in a kitchen cupboard than they otherwise would.

  • Will Hang From Handles

Alternatively, if you don't want to stack your Granitestone Personal Pans in a cupboard, you can hang them up by using the small hole within each of their handles. Just keep in mind that if you choose this route, you'll also need to find a safe place for your pot's transparent lid.

  • Can Make Meals for One

The square pan or the round pan in your Granitestone Personal Pans set will be an ideal size to hold a meal for one, such as a baked dessert, an omelet, or a personalized pizza. Therefore, you won't have to get out a huge piece of kitchenware just to cook for yourself. On the other hand, though, if you want to cook for a small family or group of about four people, these compact pans should still hold enough food for all of you.

  • May Last for Years

Granitestone is a tough material, and these pans have been designed to last up to 10 times longer than other pots and pans. Consequently, a single set of these pieces of kitchenware may serve you well for decades before they need to be replaced.

  • Promote Healthy Eating

Using non-stick pots and pans such as these will enable you to leave greasy butter or oil out of your food preparation routine. These substances can be filled with fat and calories, so leaving them out of a dish will likely reduce the amount of calories and fat that you (or others you cook for) consume.

Negative Points

  • Not Microwave Safe

These pots and pans are safe for use on the stovetop, and in the oven, too, at temperatures of 450 degrees or lower. However, they're not safe for use in the microwave and have not been made to fit inside one, so if you do a lot of cooking with your microwave oven, you may find this disappointing. If you were to try to use one in a microwave, both the microwave and the piece of kitchenware might end up undergoing damage, especially since each piece contains a bit of metal.

  • No Recipe Book

Many sets of kitchenware come with a recipe book that instructs users as to what they can make with the specific pieces. A Granitestone Personal Pans set will come with no such book, though, so you'll need to find new recipes on your own or stick to old favorites. If you're completely new to cooking on the stovetop or in the oven, you may need to enlist a friend or family member to help you get started.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Add Pot's Lid, if Possible

When you're cooking with the pot that's part of your Granitestone Personal Pans set, it's best to place the transparent lid on top of it, whenever possible. That means you should be careful not to overfill the pot, or else the lid won't fit on top. For dishes that are being cooked on the stovetop or in the oven, the pot's lid will help prevent food or liquid from splattering out of the pot and making a mess. Since it's transparent, you'll still be able to observe your food as it's cooking, if that's your preference, while the lid's on.

  2. Use Pot as Serving Dish

If you use your round granitestone pot to make a certain type of sauce or warm dip, you don't necessarily need to find another serving dish for the pot's contents. Instead, you can let your pot cool for several minutes on your stovetop, and then transfer it to your table, where it can be used as a dipping dish for a fondue-like experience.
