Eric Thiess is the celebrity chef who endorses the Perfect Puffs Pan. He started in New Jersey with a cookbook at the age of 6. By the time he was a young adult he worked at the Culinary Renaissance where he learned what he would need to open his own place. Opening his own restaurant and bar in West Chester, he received many great reviews for his work.
Since that time he has started in the world of television shows, celebrity lines of cookware, and his personal line of cookware. Publishing too, he has written many cookbooks and pamphlets on cooking that he often distributes with the orders that are placed.
When you get your order it has the pan, flipping sticks, a recipe guide, bake mats, and grill mats. This makes it an ideal system for cooking everything you could want. Of course, the sticks are not anything special it would seem, so you can always use other sticks to flip over your food once these are no longer viable. After all, they might get dirty or broken with time. You only get 7 of them, one for each of the 7 wells.
The item really works almost as effectively as advertised. One big issue though is the flipping sticks. These are small, just the same as kebab skewers, wooden sticks you could easily buy in a large pack at the store. Moreover, they are not an ideal tool to use to flip. You would be better off with a smaller, mini spatula that could conform to the round shape and slide underneath.
Using this saves you time. Literally, you can cut in half the time you would spend trying to make things like muffins or cupcakes. For foods like pancakes, you can reduce the time it takes to completely prepare the foods, but remember in so doing you are also cutting down the size. Smaller foods means less waste, not only of your time but of your resources.
There always seems to be that little bit of batter left that is not enough for one giant pancake, but now you can use all the batter for the small pancake balls. Note that while it is claimed that you can cut your baking time in half, that is again because of the smaller size of the food. Cutting time in half because you are making smaller foods might certainly be in your best interest. Larger families or social events can benefit the most from such a breakthrough.
Make the batter or the mix for whatever food you want.
Once the top size is cooked, flip them over. You should be able to do this easily, by just hitting them. Nonstick coating means they should just flip right over, then you can bake the other side.
When you do this, the bottom of the foods, the part of the batter or mix closest to the small puff intends, should be browner than the top. You want this because then you can flip them over and cook the other end however you want. Then enjoy!
For a fun twist on the foods, you can add something in the middle of the batter before you flip. This is how you can make so many different foods with just one pan. Fill, for example, the indents halfway, then add some cheese or pepperoni into the middle for small pizza puffs. Cover it the rest of the way and cook the same as you would any other food. In the end, you will get little pizza puffs.
Add filling to make tasty puffed pastries, meatball buffs, and other great dinner items. Conversely, mix in your favorite fillings to things you already love. Try adding fresh or frozen fruit directly in the middle of the puff balls. Normal baked goods now have a surprise filling. With so many separate sections you can make all different fillings, different pizza balls, and different desserts. Stuff your meatballs with onions and mozzarella for a fun treat. Gooey cheese will make everything exciting.
Stainless steel induction plate to distribute heat evenly across the bottom of the entire pan. As such, whatever foods you put into the small divots will start to cook first, and will cook evenly. You just flip them over and the other end of the ball starts cooking evenly too.
Cerami-Tech non stick coating helps it to reduce the clean up and make cooking a breeze. This nonstick coating is what helps you to easily flip the foods that are inside, to better cook the other end of the puff ball. Moreover, without foods sticking to the inside of the pan, your clean up is as easy as wiping it out with a paper towel. No more struggle.
Harvest Direct sells the Pancake Puffs Aebleskiver Pan. Similar in terms of how it works, this pan helps you to make delightful puff balls, seven in total, using one pan. You can use this pan on the grill or in the oven to make different food items. Non-stick claims though do not hold up as effectively. You have to keep using butter or a type of oil or spray otherwise the foods you are making will be impossible to turn over. Flipping sticks included with the order are really ordinary kebab skewers and are relatively useless.
You will want to test different things in your home to find something that works better as a flipper. Otherwise though, the foods you make taste great once they are done. They might not be as pretty as on the advertisements, but they are edible.
