Owl Alert Video Review

Features

  • Removes Pests

Owl Alert is a device designed to repel animals and birds by way of motion, sound, and light combined.

  • Three in One

Owl Alert works as a three in one device designed to repel birds and animals that you do not want in your yard.

  • Expandable Mounting Pole

There is an expandable mounting pole that enables you to place the product anywhere in your yard. What’s more, it is durable and weatherproof, making it an acceptable option for all geographic areas.

  • Rotates

The owl rotates one hundred and eighty degrees so it will reach all areas in front of where you place it.

  • Ultra Sonic Sound

The unit uses ultra-sonic sound which is not detectable by human ears.

  • Safe Alternative

It uses no traps or harmful chemicals which makes it a safer alternative to traditional ways of removing pests or unwanted vermin.

Save Money

Theoretically, this unit saves you money that you would have spent fending off your home or garden against pests and unwanted animals. Additionally, if it works to remove or prevent the intrusion of said unwanted animals then you get the added bonus of saving money on repairs.

How it's Different from Competitors

Compared to other models, Owl Alert is the only one on the market to currently offer the moving design or boast the features of three in one defenses that other units lack.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Set up

Set up the unit where you want. Be cognizant of which parts of your yard you want to protect, the range of the owl, and the direction it is facing.

  2. Power it up

Power it up and watch it work. This owl unit is really a modern scarecrow that you can use in your home. There are many ways that it works to remove any pests from entering your yard and you can watch all three workings in tandem from the comfort of your home.

Does It Really Work?

Yes, this unit works as effectively as advertised. It will not prevent all critters but it will successfully remove most of the unwanted pests from your yard.

Pros

  • Works Well

This unit is great for places where you do not want animals to otherwise roam freely, even your pets. If you want to keep your pets from entering the garden or yard, this unit is great, so long as they do not get used to it and start ignoring it. Unwanted visitors like raccoons or birds will not want anything to do with the bright owl so they will leave your yard alone.

  • Motion Activated

This unit is motion activated so whenever it is triggered by unwanted pets ( or even yourself ) it will start to rotate, shine its laser beams, and emit the ultrasonic sounds.

Competitor Review

Alternatives

  • Owl Decoys

There are fake owl decoys which are like scarecrows too but do not move. Instead, these plastic alternatives sit in the yard and are meant to look like real predator owls, which is what purportedly prevents animals or birds from entering your yard. There are decoys such as Bird Blinder too which use only one of the three defense mechanisms used by Owl Alert.

  • How Long for Shipping?

Shipping of Owl Alert may take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks. The demand can be greater at certain times of the year which means shipping times may vary. However, the company stands by their 3 to 6 weeks promise and does their best to plan for busy times and avoid having "back orders".

  • Change an Order?

If you placed an incorrect order and are now looking to make a change, you will have to call the company's toll-free number which can be found on their website. For the customer service representative to be able to find your order, you will need your phone number, last name, and zip code. Remember that processing can take up to 24 hours, therefore, your order may not be in the system until at least 24 hours after you have placed an order.

  • Can't See Charge on Card?

All orders are processed within 24 hours of you making an order. However, the company will not charge your card until the order is actually shipped out the door to you.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Guarantee

This product is backed by a complete 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. If the Owl Alert does not work properly or you are simply not happy with your purchase, you may return it for your money back.

  2. Double Offer

Owl Alert is available as a special double offer. When you place an order, you will be able to get a second Owl Alert by only paying a small extra fee and shipping and handling.

  3. Move it Around

To avoid having animals get used to seeing the Owl Alert and losing their fear of it, it might be a good idea to try moving the Owl Alert around your yard periodically. Animals might get used to always seeing it in the same spot and realize that it doesn't ever actually move. Therefore putting the scarecrow in a different location. At least to the animals, may give it the appearance that it is actually alive.

Downfalls

  • Won't Work for All Animals

Owl Alert is designed to scare off animals and scavengers that might get into your yard and cause damage. While this product may work for smaller critters, larger animals like dogs may not be repelled by Owl Alert. Dogs might initially be afraid of the owl but over time, they may become accustomed to it and lose their fear.

  • Newer Product

Owl Alert is a newer as seen on TV product and there has yet to be many reviews on the product. This may simply be because consumers have yet to get their hands on the Owl Alert.

Concerns

  • Weathering

This product is designed to sit outside all day and all night. However, since it is a newer product, it has yet to be seen if the owl can survive in harsh conditions. Most people will have the Owl Alert set up during the summer and the sun's harsh rays might potentially cause damage to the product's exterior.

Critical Advice

As previously mentioned, this is still a newer product and has yet to be reviewed. Their buyer beware and remember that this product is back by a satisfaction guarantee, just in case you are not satisfied.

Do not buy Owl Alert online before searching Amazon.

Big Waste of Money

I bought one at Walmart for $19.99 plus tax. It didn't matter how low or high it was and they didn't sell the stand that is supposed to be used with it. Anyway, it doesn't repel anything. Deer walk up to it and sniff it while the eyes are flashing, squirrels laugh at it walking past it and one raccoon tried nibbling on its ear. So yeah, false advertising, false claims and the company won't refund my money or take it back. And it eats up batteries once a week.

Solar Power Owl

I tried to order what was showing on TV you buy one and then you get the second one at half price and you get a water hose free but when I ordered it the salesman said that was not the regular price of what they were showing on TV and that the one that they were showing on TV was battery operated but if you look at the advertisement it says solar powered so apparently they're misleading you.

Thanks for the review. I wanted to order the solar-powered owl "as seen on TV, " but not now. Apparently, what they are advertising is not what they are actually selling. They also need to give the owl's dimensions in the TV ad, but I imagine they are afraid that if they do tell that the owl is only 8" tall it wouldn't sell.
What is this? False advertising? A scam? Whatever the ploy, I was all set to order 2 owls (solar powered, etc.), but now? Zero. I'm truly disappointed by the blatant in-your-face way the product was wrongly presented to the television viewing public. And, I am alarmed that this ad continues to play when it should have been jerked ages ago.

After looking at these reviews, I decided to buy from another supplier. I found 2 animal repeller for less than the price of the owl.

I ordered an Owl Alert and have not received it. I tried to call the number listed as 1-800-788-8519 and 1-800-905-2401 but the numbers were disconnected.
How do I contact these people about my order?
I also tried to go to www.buyowlalert.com and was not able to access the website.
Is this a scam?

Thanks

?

How do you expect to sell a product if there are reviews stating they ordered and paid for the item but have not received it. What a scam. So happy I looked for reviews before I bought any. Looked like a good product but your not getting my money since you can not supply the product.

Owl Alert as Seen on TV

Ordered 2 owls awhile ago over phone paid for them any clue how long before I receive them maybe I should spread the word around how bad the service of your company is; you need to reimburse people if your unable to keep up with orders made.
