The Orbitrek MX is a piece of fitness equipment that fits under your feet and moves while you are in a seated position. This product is a small and portable machine that can be taken and used in many areas including your desk, couch, or anywhere that you would be in a seated position. The fitness machine is a tool for motorized exercise as cited on the website which helps to describe its name. It allows you to sit and get fit at the same time.
The cost of Orbitrek MX is $299.97 and the shipping is FREE!
Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: orbitrekmx.com
The device is made to resemble an elliptical but only needs to be used by your legs and feet. Orbitrek's foot paddles move in an up, down, and circular fashion that provides a movement of your legs and feet that resembles walking up an incline.
The fitness machine includes eight different fitness options for usage. There are three different training modes and five different speed levels to choose from. This allows you to change up the intensity of your workout each time. You can choose whatever levels and speeds are most comfortable for you at the time.
The Orbitrek MX is a small compact machine. This allows you to pick it up easily and carry it to other locations. You can also place it in storage spots very easily because of its reasonable size. If you don't want it to show, the machine can simply be put into a storage box and completely be hidden until its next use.
The foot pedals on the Orbitrek MX are created to be wide and textured for the maximum comfort of the user. It doesn't matter what size your shoes or feet are, the broad width of the foot pedal will fit just about all sizes. The pedals also have a ridged texture to allow for your feet to stay in place and not slip while exercising.
Since this fitness machine is used on the feet, it can be hard to bend down to change the settings while you are in the middle of a workout. To combat this, the Orbitrek MX has included a remote to control the machine in the comfort of your hands. The remote that comes with the machine has multiple different settings. Start/stop allows you to start the machine or stop it without having to bend over. There's also speed, direction, function, and mode for the exercise settings as mentioned above. Lastly, there is a power button.
If you worry about the noise of the compact machine, it is great to know that it is considered to be "whisper quiet" according to the website. You will receive all of the benefits of exercising while not making any noise. This will allow you to stay distraction-free if you are reading or working while working out. You also won't distract others if they are around you while you are completing the workout.
The Orbitrek MX comes out of the box already fully assembled so no need to pull out the toolbox and screws. This is perfect for those who may not be tech handy or those who want to begin their workout as soon as they receive their product. Once you pull the machine out of the box, just turn the machine on with the digital monitor or with the remote and get started.
This machine has a built-in digital fitness monitor right on the top. With this monitor, you are able to track your speed, calories, and distance in real-time while you are working out. Since you can see the real-time workout data, you will be able to track it and discover when you are done with the workout and need to stop.
If you are looking for a machine that improves mobility, relieves stress, burns calories, and improves balance, this is the machine for you. This machine also helps you to sleep better and brightens your mood by allowing you to get in an exercise that releases endorphins into your body.
This fitness machine is definitely not as intensive as the traditional stand up machines that require our whole body. Since it only works out the legs and feet, the fitness machine is not for those who want that full-body experience.
Following the statement made above, since the Orbitrek MX only works out a specific part of the body, you will not burn as many calories with this device. The calories burnt will definitely not be as many as with a machine that gives you a full-body workout.
With any workout machine, it is important to note that if you suffer any health issues or are pregnant, it would be essential to contact your doctor before using this machine. If you are unable to carry heavy items around, it is best to ask someone for assistance when using it.
When using the machine, it can be easy to go above your limits since you are sitting down and only moving your legs. It is important to make sure that you are not overusing your muscles on this piece of equipment so that you do not pull any muscles or injure yourself.
If you are new to using a piece of workout equipment or have never used the Orbitrek MX before, it would be very important to read the directions on the box or paper. Here you can find out how to use it. These directions can not only tell you how to use the machine correctly but also how you can reduce your risk of injury when using the machine.
The Orbitrek MX works by providing two pedals that form to your feet and allowing movement to be made that resembles the movement of an elliptical. Once you begin pedaling on the machine, you can choose which workout setting or speed you would like to work out on. It is helpful to use the remote control to decide which speed and intensity level to change to so that you won't have to bend down.
If you don't have time to drive all the way to a gym or even don't have the time to complete a workout on your TV, the Orbitrek MX has a solution for this. You can save time by putting this compact device under your work desk, or even in front of you on the couch while you read a book. This allows you to be able to multitask and use your time wisely.

My orbitrex left pedal was getting loose and making a clunking sound. Tonight it just stopped working in the middle of a set. Is there a way that I can repair this myself?

I am now on my third machine (arrived today and on first use noticed a clunking sound on the right pedal when it's turning clockwise). The first two machines' broth literally broke at the point where the wheels fit into the plastic piece… this should be made stronger as plastic is too weak! The machine is absolutely great, I wish it had more resistance though. There are a lot of improvements required to make this machine worth the price you pay. The main one being made stronger to hold the pedals, the cable needs to be longer, more resistant. I really hope the makers are listening and will respond to feedback. Based on my experience with the first two machines, I am not confident that this machine will last beyond a few weeks; really annoying as I am trying to get fit for major surgery. I have followed all the rules of usage!

My wife is disabled and only has limited use of her left leg. Will this device actually drive the legs or does it just provide assistance. If it does, then it would provide a means of exercise that she can't normally get.

It's not quite what I expected but it's something I can use when I can't walk outdoors. The one aspect I miss is there is no resistance option, only slow or fast even in the Manual Mode.

Does this machine, highly suggest that you allow thirty minutes in between each session. So the machine doesn’t overheat? I would really benefit from using the OrbitrekMX but I don't want it to ‘overheat’ every time I use it. Please let me know. Thank you.
