Night Stars Holiday Magic is an outdoor projector that you can use to project holiday scenes onto the outer walls of your home at night. With this projector, you'll be able to have high-definition images of Halloween pumpkins, Christmas presents, birthday balloons and more moving across the outside of your home, and along with that, the projector also plays audio. The projector won't use as much electricity as most holiday lights, and you won't have to climb up any sort of ladder in order to make your home look festive.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Push Stake Into Ground

To set up your holiday movie projector, all you'll need to do is push its stake into the ground. Make sure that it's at least several feet from your home, or the moving pictures it projects might look a little blurry. If you've got an average-sized driveway, placing it near the driveway will likely be your best option when it comes to distance. Be sure to aim it at the side of the house you want your movies to appear on, such as the front, the back, or the left or right side.

  2. Press Play

After your projector is set up, press the play button and cycle through the different holiday movie options until you find one that you want to play. If you have any difficulty cycling through your options, consult your instruction manual. Keep in mind that if you don't want any movies displayed on your house at certain times, you'll need to turn the projector off again.

How It Works

When you set your projector up a few feet or more from your home, it treats the outer walls of your house that it's facing as your movie screen. By giving off 3, 000 lumens of light, the projector is then able to project bright and clear holiday scenes onto this 'screen' that can be seen from up close or far away. All of these movie scenes will play in high definition, so if you've got your projector set up a good distance from your home, you'll be able to see every detail of every scene. People driving or walking by on the road will be able to see the scenes clearly, too.

Features

  • Compact Projector

Each Night Stars Holiday Magic projector is about the size of a spotlight, making it fairly compact. Therefore, most users will be able to carry it around their yard from place to place without a struggle, if necessary. If you want to take yours someplace else, you probably won't have trouble finding room for it in your vehicle, either.

  • Colored Movies

With this projector, any holiday movie will appear in full color, instead of less exciting shades of black and white. A Halloween pumpkin will definitely look better orange than gray, and an American flag will certainly look more authentic when red and blue are included in the display.

  • Water and Snow Proof

Your Night Stars Holiday Magic projector won't be damaged by rain or snow, so you won't need to bring it in or turn off your holiday movies when the weather's going to be bad. However, you may want to wipe any snow or raindrops off your projector's lens if you notice them there, or else the clarity of your movies may temporarily suffer.

Positive Points

  • Can Use for Various Holidays

Aside from holidays that many people celebrate and will decorate their homes for, such as Christmas and Hallowe'en, this projector comes with scenes designed for other holidays such as Valentine's Day or July Fourth. There's even a holiday movie that can be played in honor of the Super Bowl. Moreover, if you get tired of the movies built into your device, or you want to search for a movie that's suitable for a different holiday, you can go online and download additional holiday movies.

  • No Strenuous Labor Required

If you've got one of these projectors to decorate your home for the holidays, decorating will no longer be so hard on you physically, which may come as a relief if you're not perfectly healthy. You'll no longer have to give yourself a headache by untangling strings of lights or tire yourself out by climbing a ladder to hang up lights or other decorations. Instead, all you'll need to do is set up a projector in a couple of minutes and then relax inside or out as you admire your new decor.

  • Projector Can be Moved

You may get tired of having your projector set up in a particular location, but that's no problem, as you'll be able to move it in minutes. For some holidays, you may want your movies playing against the front of your house, while you may want to display them at the back on other occasions. To make a Halloween scene extra-scary, you could even aim your projector away from your house and towards a group of trees behind.

Negative Points

  • Requires Own Yard

People who don't have their own yards to set up a projector in, such as people who live in apartment buildings, may not be able to use the Night Stars Holiday Magic system. Neighbors likely wouldn't appreciate a projector being set up in a communal area, such as a patch of grass, and they may not appreciate a movie extending onto their unit's wall(s), either.

  • Audio Might be Annoying

Even if you have your own yard and live far enough from your neighbors that they won't be bothered by the brightness of your movies, they could hear the accompanying audio and get annoyed. You could remedy this by only using video, or keeping your audio's volume at a very low level, but then you wouldn't be able to maximize your use of your holiday movie system.

  • Not for Indoor Use

Although you theoretically could use your Night Stars Holiday Magic movie system indoors, it hasn't been designed for that. If you were to try to use it inside your home, you probably wouldn't be able to put enough distance between your projector and your chosen wall, and your movies wouldn't look quite right. You'd also have no grass to push your stake into indoors, so you'd have to stick it in a pot filled with soil.

Critical Advice

If you live in an area where the ground freezes over, or there's often tons of snow on the ground, you'll need to set up your projector before the snow comes or the ground freezes. Otherwise, you may not be able to get your projector's stake far enough into the ground for it to stay upright. If it were to fall over on you, this could make your movies stop playing or at least distort the picture.
