Mighty Thirsty is an absorbent vacuum block that will drink more than eight times its weight in liquid, if need be, when you have a spill. It's like a sponge, but more effective. It'll clean up spills caused by various liquids, such as coffee, tea, and juice, and as a dry sponge, it'll remove pet hair from furniture or carpets. Besides carpet, you'll be able to use this bright blue enhanced sponge on a variety of surfaces, such as stainless steel, glass, tile and wood.
The cost of Mighty Thirsty is $19.99 plus $6.95 shipping. The special TV offer allows you to receive a second Mighty Thirsty by paying an extra fee of $0.00 for a total price of $26.94. Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: mightythirsty.com
This vacuum block is made from material that contains polyvinyl acetate, which gives it the ability to attract and "drink up" liquid. When you take this block to a spill, it'll immediately start sucking up the liquid without leaving a drop behind on the surface you're trying to clean. Used as a dry sponge, it'll also attract unwanted pet hair on your furniture and carpets, so you'll be able to quickly collect and dispose of this without picking it off.
In each set of Mighty Thirsty vacuum blocks, you'll get nine of these, including four standard-sized ones, four super-portable mini-sized ones, and one jumbo-sized block for your biggest spills. You'll also get a Mighty Thirsty towel that's idea for drying off the exterior of your vehicle, boat or RV after giving it a rinse.
All of these vacuum blocks and the included towel are bright blue, so you'll be able to tell them apart from your other sponges and towels. The bright blue shade will also allow you to clearly see how much dirt or liquid you're soaking up, unless, of course, a particular liquid happens to be bright blue.
Besides ridding a variety of surfaces of unwanted spills and / or pet hair, these vacuum blocks will safely and effectively clean dust or fingerprints off glass without the use of chemicals. This not only applies to glassware but also the glass used for mirrors.
When you're done using one of your vacuum blocks, regardless of what you've used it to clean up, there'll be no complicated cleaning process to undergo. Instead, you'll simply be able to rinse the sponge-like block off in your sink, wring it out and place it near the sink to dry.
While you'll likely find many uses at home for your Mighty Thirsty blocks, you'll also be able to transport them somewhere else without great difficulty. You may find that the mini-sized blocks are especially useful at work, at the cottage or even at a campsite if you're preparing your own meals there.
These vacuum blocks are safe for children to use, as long as they don't bite or chew on the material. Kids may enjoy seeing a particular block "drink" up a particular spill, and therefore may become more interested in cleaning up their own messes. With some sponges, kids who don't have great hand-eye coordination may just rub drips around on a counter or another flat surface, but MIghty Thirsty has been designed specifically to soak up those wayward drips.
Standard sponges will sometimes do an effective job of cleaning up a spill, but they aren't as absorbent as a Mighty Thirsty vacuum block. Therefore, with a standard sponge instead, you'll have to work harder for longer to clean up a single spill.
With rags, whether you're using store-bought ones or torn-up old clothing, you'll run into the same absorbency problem that you would with standard sponges.
Paper towels aren't as absorbent as a Mighty Thirsty block, either, but even worse, they're not reusable, so if you experience a lot of spills, you'll need to frequently replace your roll.
