Meal Enders are lozenges that will help keep you from overeating after you finish a meal and will also help keep you from snacking in between meals. They consist of an outer dessert layer that will satisfy your sweet tooth and an inner centre that will make your tongue tingle, distracting you from your perceived hunger. These candies come in four different flavors, including chocolate ones made with high-quality Guittard chocolate, and each candy only has 15 calories.
To start using your Meal Enders, put one candy of your chosen flavor in your mouth and let it dissolve. Savor the experience by resisting the urge to bite the candy or chew on it.
If you've had one lozenge and are still having cravings for other food, repeat the first step above with two more lozenges. By only having three in one sitting, you'll be limiting yourself to 45 calories' worth.
After one to three Meal Enders, you should find that you're at least a bit distracted from any feelings of hunger you were experiencing previously. However, it's common to feel thirsty after consuming these lozenges, so a glass of water may benefit you when you're done.
The outer layer of each Meal Ender, which will taste like lemon, chocolate mint, mocha ( chocolate ) or cinnamon, will satisfy you as it will make you feel like you're having a delicious dessert. Each candy's inner centre will do the bulk of the work, though. As soon as you ingest it, it will make your tongue tingle. This, in turn, will activate your trigeminal nerve, and this activation will mentally distract you from any cravings for food you might have. The nerve will stay activated for about 20 minutes, allowing your body's natural fullness signals time to catch up to your food-craving brain. At the end of the 20 minutes, you may find you don't want to eat any longer.
These lozenges are available in four flavors that people tend to like, including lemon, cinnamon, mocha and chocolate mint. Even if you don't like all these flavors, you'll probably like at least one of them. Note that each package only contains a single flavor—no mixes.
Each bag of Meal Enders weighs 75 grams and contains 25 candies. You can buy a package on its own or get a bundle of three or a bundle of nine packages. All candies in any package are individually wrapped, which will make you less tempted to chow down on the whole package if you find that they taste super-good.
Each lozenge contains no fat at all and only two grams of sugar, making up only one percent of your total recommended daily intake of carbohydrates. The sugar within does not include high-fructose syrup, which can cause metabolism problems and make diabetes worse.
These lozenges are free of gluten, so if you're already following a gluten-free diet when you begin to use them, they won't interfere with that.
Meal Enders also don't contain any ingredients that will conflict with the kosher diet plan that many people of the Jewish faith choose to follow.
These candies are recognized as safe for general use by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration, and don't contain any synthetic drugs or even natural herbs, so they're safe for most adults to use. You should always check with your doctor before beginning any new diet program, though, and definitely check with them if you're thinking of giving these candies to a child or teen.
Meal Enders aren't incompatible with any popular diet plan out there, and if you're on Weight Watchers, you'll actually be able to calculate approximately how many points a certain number of lozenges is worth.
A lot of people find it awkward to carry diet pills or supplements in capsule form around outside the home, but since these diet helpers are candies, it won't be super-awkward to carry them. You'll likely be able to pull out one to three at a restaurant, and plop them in your mouth after a meal, without getting even a second glance.
Some pills and supplements designed to assist you with your diet will take weeks to start offering you any results, but these simple candies will start to curb your hunger in 20 minutes or less. You may experience diminished cravings a minute or two after putting one in your mouth.
Since you can't get a version of these candies made with artificial sweetener( s ) instead of real sugar, they aren't ideal for diabetics or anyone else who can't consume sugar for any reason.
If you've got these candies in your home, keep them away from children who may think they're regular candies and eat a bunch. Eating an entire bag may not hurt a child at all, but if they do so, you'll have to deal with your cravings on your own.
Don't leave these candies in an area in which the temperature may rise above 75 degrees Fahrenheit, such as a hot vehicle. If they overheat, they may melt.
