Total Cost Breakdown

The cost of MAXX Air Fryer Oven is $199.96 plus $14.99 shipping for a total price of $214.95.

Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: maxxairfryer.com

How It Works

When you cook food in a standard deep fryer, it's the addition of potentially fatty, greasy oils that typically makes your food crispy. On the other hand, the MAXX Air Fryer Oven rapidly circulates hot air as it cooks food, in order to achieve the same result. Due to the appliance's rapid air circulation, you may end up with crispy meat in as little as seven minutes' time. Plus, you won't end up taking in the extra calories that you'd otherwise get from oil.

Features

  • Large Capacity

In its entirety, this air-frying oven will hold a total of 26 quarts of food. As a result, if you need to cook food for a large family or another large group of people, you'll be able to cook enough for everyone at once, instead of cooking in shifts. If you're a single person or part of a small family, you may want to cook more food than you need and store the excess food away in your fridge or freezer for another day.

  • Lightweight

Even though each of these countertop ovens will hold a large amount of food, each one only weighs in at 17 pounds, which can be considered fairly lightweight for an appliance. Therefore, if you want to move this oven from place to place in your home, you'll likely be able to carry it without help. You might also choose to transport one of these appliances to a seasonal cottage, if you have one, as each one will only take up a few feet of space (at most) in your car.

  • High Maximum Temperature

When you're cooking with this air-fryer oven, you'll be able to turn its cooking temperature up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, which is high enough to cook most common dishes that you'd consume at home. Furthermore, there are 21 preset cooking functions, which can be accessed via the oven's display panel, and these will allow the machine to choose an appropriate cooking temperature for you.

  • Extension Cord of 35 Inches

The extension cord that's attached to each MAXX Air Fryer Oven measures 35 inches in length, so you'll have some wiggle room when it comes to where you place the appliance in your kitchen. It'll need to be sitting fairly close to an electrical outlet or power bar, but not directly beside it if you'd prefer it to be one to three feet away.

Positive Points

  • Attractive Look

Some air-frying ovens are wider than they are tall, and have just one door on the front, but not the MAXX Air Fryer Oven. This oven is a bit taller than it is wide, which contributes to its attractiveness, and each one also has French doors. The design of its doors will enable you to open one side at once with one hand, an option that'll come in handy if you want to check on your food without removing it. Moreover, each MAXX oven has a stainless steel finish that will complement the decor in almost any kitchen.

  • Accessories Included

With each MAXX Air Fryer Oven, you'll receive nine accessories, such as a fry basket, a rotisserie spit and a baking tray. All of these accessories will be safe for you to clean in your dishwasher, and using them will help you cook various types of food more effectively and efficiently. If you're unsure as to which accessory to use for a certain type of food, you can consult the recipe guide that comes with each of these air-frying ovens. This guide may also provide you with recipe ideas that you've never even thought of.

  • Promotes Healthy Diet

As alluded to above, if you eat food that you've cooked within a deep fryer, you may end up taking in up to hundreds of extra calories, due to the addition of greasy cooking oils. Restaurants often make use of deep fryers, too, so the same thing will likely happen if you consume your fried foods at these establishments. Alternatively, however, you'll be able to eat fried food while keeping your calorie intake fairly low when you use the MAXX Air Fryer Oven, as it won't require any oil at all for cooking purposes.

  • Can Grill Food Indoors

If you love food that's been grilled on an outdoor barbecue grill, but you don't want to stand outside in the rain and grill it, this air-frying oven may impress you. You'll be able to use it to grill virtually any type of food indoors, in any season.

Negative Points

  • Requires Electricity

You'll always need electricity to operate your MAXX Air Fryer Oven, so you won't be able to use it at a cottage or campsite without electrical power. You also won't be able to carry it out to your yard and use it on a summer day, unless you have access to electrical outlets outside your home. Powering it with batteries is, unfortunately, not even an option. Consequently, if you're trying to cut down on your electricity usage, this may not be the ideal appliance for you.

Warnings

  • Keep Hands Out of Cooking Area

While it's safe to open either of this appliance's doors with a bare hand or two as the device carries out its cooking jobs, don't touch anything inside the machine with your bare hands. If you want to touch the food or the accessories inside while the device is on, you must wear oven mitts or use cooking utensils. The device's door handles and display panel will stay cool to the touch at all times, but the inner workings of the device won't, so touching them may result in burns.

  • Wipe Down Appliance Safely

The accessories included with each MAXX Air Fryer Oven are dishwasher safe and can be placed individually in your dishwasher. However, the appliance as a whole isn't dishwasher safe. If you'd like to clean it, which is a good thing to do on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, you'll need to wipe it down with a cloth. To safely do so, you must turn off the oven and unplug it first, and then lightly dampen your cloth with just water before you get started.

Do not Buy

I purchased the Maxx air fryer in Jan 2022 and used it for about 3 weeks, then it just started turning off in the middle of cooking, and would not go back on. Returned that unit and got the 2nd one, in Feb 2022 that one is also now not working, was grilling hotdogs at 350 on the grill and it started flashing and beeping, turned off, and will not turn back on. Returning again and getting a different brand. Too bad as it did cook well when it cooked!

Bad Oven

I hope this review will stop you from making a mistake. The bad oven doesn't purchase. Purchased direct from Kaloric. That was my first mistake. Asked for equal payments got charged for the whole oven. Paid expedited shipping it took over 2 weeks. Still have not got a refund for that. Oven doors don't seal. Large gaps between the doors. Steam and heat pour out front and sides of doors. Food burned on the outside and raw on the inside. Rotisserie spit does not stay in the bracket. No rack to make toast. Soggy chicken when air fried. Tried adjusting Temps time etc took way too long to cook. The oven is flimsy and not of good quality. It reminds me of a child's toy. I purchased this to replace a Cuisinart air fryer oven. Trust me the Cuisinart is far superior and the door seals on it. Then I called to send the oven back as per the warranty. I was told to call Kaloric with a tracking number when I shipped the oven back. No return slip or anything. I argued with the CSR and got a return number but was informed I was responsible for the return shipping charges. The return shipping charge was $91.00. I still don't even have a refund for the oven. Right now I am out of the cost of the oven, expedited shipping charges, and the cost to ship the oven back under warranty. Please don't purchase this oven.

Always Read Reviews First

Too cheap to be a good unit. Reviews say it all. Almost purchased it. I will seek a good quality convection oven.

After one Month, Still Have not Received Unit

Ordered on May 15, shipping label created May 17, and still no oven one month later. I have contacted customer service by phone twice and sent 3 emails. Still no oven!

I could have ordered another brand of oven, for a similar price, and been able to use it for at least 4 weeks. I’m disappointed and I can't give a good review.

Not Good

I ordered the max and the day it was delivered to me I put 4 chicken wings in there. The steam was coming out the side of the door and turning to water on the table, I had to put my dishcloth on the table to keep the water from going on the floor. I called customer service to get a return label on may 25, 2021 and they told me it would take a week to send me an email with the return label and today is June 12, 2021, and they still haven't emailed me a return label. I had put in a dispute with my credit card company. Do not order this kalorik max fryer, you will be disappointed. The worst company I have ever ordered from.

Too Good to be True

After reading the reviews, I will not order this product. I have no idea how it looks so perfect on TV. Yet all the reviews I’ve read claim the product is just “snake oil.”.

Where is the Oven I Paid for on December 14 ,2020

I paid for the oven plus the free extras on December 14 of the last year 2020 and have still not got my oven and extras plus the extra warranty what kind of company is this? The only way I can contact you is to call and the prompt gives you a person who states "You called to order" no I want the item plus or my money back! So what is with you people down there in Miami? Or do you hire dishonest people there?

Worst Customer Service Ever

I ordered the oven on line. When I looked at the unit online I thought It would do for us. But reading more on the unit I had Decided to cancel. I called their phone number and was hung up on three times. On the fourth call, I got through. Said I wanted to cancel the purchase. Was told by the service rep it was done. Asked when I would get my refund. He said a customer service rep would call me within 24 hours. 24 hours came & went. Called back. Was told by the same rep it would be now 72 hours. Very unhappy with this whole experience.

Kalorik Maxx Airfryer

I also bought one of these hoping that the rotisserie would cook a chicken and turkey breast, every time it turns it hits the drip pan. I call and emailed customer service said they would send me a shipping label so I could return it. Emailing customer service does not work I would not buy this product again. I can say it gets very hot and very smokey.

MAXX Oven a bad Purchase

I purchased this in Nov 2021 and when I first unpacked the unit, the display would show in "c" not "f". The temp will only go up to 260. Have tried numerous times to contact customer service via email and phone call. They did answer one email only to say they could not find my order. When I attached the receipt from when I paid for it. Very disappointed with this piece of crap and would definitely say do not waste your money. They have ignored all my additional efforts to contact them to return item.

Misleading Advertising, Lame Unit

Does NOT make chicken that looks fried, like in the commercial and also in the recipe book. I have no idea if all these people who say it makes great fries know what a fry should be. Soggy, limp not crispy. I'm a fairly capable home cook but the first night we cooked bacon, there was a fire in the oven. Got this today, returning it tomorrow.

Tried to bake chicken using a baking pan. The oven kept turning off. Then got an E1 message and again oven turned off. Had to use my regular oven to finish it.
