Luma Stones are small, portable stone-shaped objects that will illuminate virtually any dark space when necessary. They're activated by both touch and nearby movement, and when activated, they'll provide a full 360 degrees of soft light. Each stone contains four LED lights that are energy efficient and are expected to last for years. The stones come in sets of two, and within each set, you'll also get two holders that you can use to attach the stones to vertical surfaces.
The cost of Luma Stones is $14.95 plus $5.95 shipping, for a total price of $20.9.
When your Luma Stones are stored away, they won't emit light, but as soon as you touch one of them, it'll quickly light up. Each stone will automatically go dim after 15 seconds, but since the stones are also activated by movement, one will quickly turn on again if you're holding it in your hand. With these stones, you'll never be without light when you need it, but their light won't be wasted when you don't.
While most small light-up devices will only beam light in one direction at once, Luma Stones will shine from the bottom, top, and both sides, allowing you to clearly see everything in front of you.
All of these stones provide gleaming white light as opposed to colored light. While some people may find colored light interesting to look at, white light tends to illuminate a space more effectively.
These stones are not heavy, so you likely won't have difficulty carrying one or more of them from room to room, or from place to place when you're outdoors at night.
Each stone comes with a cover that will hold the stone if you want to attach it to a vertical surface ( such as a wall ). All you'll need to do is peel the backing off a cover's attached adhesive tape, stick the cover to the desired surface, and slide the stone into it.
Regardless of where you put your Luma Stones, they likely will work for a long time, due to the fact that they'll turn off in 15 seconds with no action from you. The LED lights within each one will also contribute to their long life, since LED lights tend to burn out much more slowly than other lights do.
Many children are afraid of the dark, but one of these stones will give them just enough light to reduce their fear. When your child falls asleep, they'll likely let go of their stone, so that means the device won't waste its energy by glowing all night beside the bed.
It's often difficult to find keys and other essentials in a crowded purse, a small closet, or a dark cabinet. However, if you leave one of your Luma Stones in each of these places, you'll be able to tap the stone after opening each, making your search for certain objects you need much less challenging.
You can also pull one of these stones out of your purse or glove compartment if you experience a vehicle emergency, such as a flat tire. Plus, it'll come in handy when you need to examine a minor injury, such as a paper cut, while you're on the go in the evening. Since each stone is quite small, one won't take up a great deal of space in your glove box while you're not using it.
You must keep touching a Luma Stone or moving while you're very close to it unless you want it to turn off. If there was some way to keep each one illuminated for longer than 15 seconds without doing this, these stones would function much better as pieces of decor within dim or dark rooms.
