How It Works

Light Up Links sets are building kits for kids with which you can make a variety of cool objects that light up when shaken. Using them doesn’t require electricity, as they are powered by batteries within the included light-up pods. A firm shake or strong tap will activate an individual battery for its first use, and the pod’s LED light will come to life. To light up the lights during subsequent uses, you will not need to tap or shake the pods so firmly. In order to start making things with your kit, start connecting the included flexible tubes, standard connector links, and glowing connector links to a pod and battery. There are 13 pods in a set, with white, blue, and red lights.

Positive Points

  • Water Resistant
  • The materials within Light Up Links kits are water resistant, so if your creations accidentally get splashed, they won’t immediately stop lighting up. However, keep in mind that you should not purposely submerge them in water.

Negative Points

  • Batteries Not Replaceable
  • While each pod’s battery has a life of approximately one and a half years, these batteries are not replaceable. Once all of them burn out, you’ll need to buy a new kit.

  • Not For Kids Under Three
  • Light Up Links are not suitable for kids under three years of age, as they may not understand that they shouldn’t put the small pieces in their mouths.
