The light within each lamp is of the LED variety, and these tend to last much longer than standard lightbulbs before burning out. You may get months or even years out of your lamp's original bulb without having to replace it.
When using this lamp, you'll be able to choose between seven different levels of brightness, and move quickly between them by using the built-in dimmer. The dimmer is located on the black base of each lamp, and all you'll need to do is tap or slide a finger across the dots there to adjust the lamp's brightness.
Aside from the seven brightness levels, you'll also have a choice between five different shades of light. These include atomic white, cool blue, warm white, incandescent, and candlelight, and each is best suited for different activities. Keep in mind that atomic white is the brightest, while cool blue helps with alertness and the remaining three are more soothing in nature.
Each Atomic Beam Lamp Logic light has a USB port at the bottom of its neck that you can use to charge your tablet or cell phone, even if you don't have the light on.
This lamp is a good one for you to have on your bedside table if you like to give yourself a bit of light to read in bed. If you use the dimmer to dim the lamp enough, you'll even be able to read beside a sleeping partner without disturbing them. On a dim setting, you'll also be able to turn this lamp on during the night, if needed, without feeling as if you've blinded yourself.
Offices and garages often have few ( if any! ) windows, so this is a great light to have sitting on your desk or your workbench, too. It'll give you enough light to complete your tasks properly, without giving you a headache as fluorescent lights are often able to do. Plus, you'll be able to angle the lamp in such a way that it will point directly at what you're working on, allowing you to see it with optimum clarity.
Another place where you may want to use an Atomic Beam Lamp Logic light is a college dorm room, since there often isn't enough space within these for even one or two larger lamps. The same goes for tiny apartments that students often live in. Regardless of the dwelling, your lamp will give you a perfectly adequate amount of light without taking up a lot of space, and you'll be able to aim its light directly at your schoolbooks.
To use this lamp, you'll need to plug it into an electrical outlet, so you'll have to have an open one at hand to use. It would be helpful if there was the option of running it by battery instead, but unfortunately, there's no such option. The need of a plug-in may limit you to using the lamp only in certain rooms, and you may be limited as to where you can place it within a room, too.
The base of each lamp isn't very thick or wide, so if the lamp is angled too far in the opposite direction of the base, there's a chance it could fall over. This may become even more of a problem if there's also a tablet or phone plugged in to the neck of the lamp, weighing it down and pulling it in a certain direction. LED lights aren't as much of a fire hazard as standard lightbulbs, but having your lamp fall over while you're using it could simply be annoying.
Many home and office owners choose to install fluorescent lighting on the ceilings of various rooms, but this can be a time-consuming process, and you may need the help of a professional. What's more, fluorescent lighting can sometimes be too bright, causing people to tire quickly or giving them headaches.
Placing a standing lamp on the floor of a room is an alternative to fluorescent light that's not so overpowering. However, if the room is small and there's already a lot of furniture crammed into it, there just may not be room for a large lamp like this to fit comfortably.
There are other desk lamps available besides the Atomic Beam Lamp Logic, but many of these won't swivel as much ( if at all ) or get as bright. With a dimmer lamp, you may have to strain your eyes to see certain things on your desk, which could even cause you long-lasting eye problems.
