This dark gray pan has a long, double-riveted handle, and it's specified that it's safe for use in the oven at temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. It's stated that the protective aluminum layer makes it so scratch-resistant that you can cut cooked food with metal utensils without removing it from the pan.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Add Food to Pan

Regardless of whether you're working with your stovetop or your oven, you can add various food items, such as meats, cheese, eggs, veggies, and even dessert batter to this pan to be cooked. Once you've added your desired ingredients to your pan, place it on your stovetop or slide it into your oven and set the stove to your desired temperature setting. If necessary, consult a recipe book to determine an ideal temperature to cook your dish at.

  2. Remove Food From Pan

Once your food is done cooking, it should slide directly out of your pan and onto a serving plate, no matter how gooey it is. However, if you'd like to cut up the food directly in the pan, it's safe to do so with any metal utensil of your choice. Due to the pan's scratch-resistant protective armor and inner surface, the surface won't get scratched or flake off in any way.

  3. Clean Pan

When your pan has been emptied, you can either wipe it clean with a damp cloth (adding dish soap, along with water, is a good idea) or place it in your dishwasher. If you choose the former option, any food residue should quickly slide off, ensuring that the wiping only takes you seconds.

Features

  • Generous Size

At about the size of a large pizza, the Knight Chef Pan is larger than most frying pans, which logically means that it'll be able to hold more food than most of them. You may be able to use it to cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner for your entire family or household, instead of cooking the food in shifts as you might have to with a smaller pan.

  • Riveted Handle

Each of these pans has a lengthy double-riveted handle, which will allow you to safely carry the pan without burning your hands on its body, as the end of the handle will stay cool. The double rivets will help keep the handle securely attached to the rest of the pan, so it doesn't unexpectedly fall off while someone's hanging onto it. When you're not using your pan, you can use the small hole on the end of the handle to hang it from a hook on the wall, if you choose.

  • PFOA Free

Some pieces of kitchenware still contain the chemical compound known as PFOA, which is potentially harmful to human health, but this particular pan is free of it. Therefore, you won't be exposing yourself or your household to its toxicity by cooking food in this pan and then consuming it.

Positive Points

  • Distributes Heat Evenly

The shape of the Knight Chef Pan and the arrangement of its materials enable it to distribute heat evenly throughout the food that's being cooked inside it. As a result, you'll be able to cook restaurant-quality meals within this pan, instead of getting meals that contain some cold spots while others are burnt. This, in turn, may make you more likely to dine at home, where you won't have to make use of your credit card.

  • No Lubricants Required

Since this pan has a non-stick design, you won't have to add any lubricants (such as cooking spray butter, or oil) to it to prevent food from sticking to its inner surface. By avoiding the butter and oil, especially, you'll be ensuring that you're consuming fewer calories and fat as part of each pan-cooked meal. If you're trying to lose weight or become healthier in general, the lack of fatty lubricants should help you reach your goals.

  • Sleek Appearance

The Knight Chef Pan has a sleek gray appearance, so it'll look good in almost any kitchen, and complement almost any existing kitchenware set that you might have. Plus, because of its unique appearance, if you open up a drawer that you store pans in, you'll be able to immediately differentiate this one from any traditional black frying pans.

Negative Points

  • Not Super-deep

This pan can be called large since it has a large diameter, but it's actually not very deep in comparison to its width around. That means you'll have to spread food items out within the pan, instead of stacking them up as you might do in a deeper pan. Similarly, there's no square version of this pan available, and it's become common knowledge that square pans can hold a bit more food since they have a bit more room in the corners.

  • May Take up Lots of Space

If you don't hang your Knight Chef Pan on a hook, its long handle may cause it to take up lots of space in a drawer or cabinet, leaving little room for other kitchenware. Along the same lines, in your dishwasher, the pan may take up a quarter of your bottom rack. Detaching the handle for storage purposes could be difficult or impossible, and even if you were able to remove it, you might not be able to attach it properly again.

  • Doesn't Come With Recipe Book

Many pieces of kitchenware come with recipe books that are chock full of recipes that you can use the new pot or pan to make, but this pan doesn't. If you're not very experienced with cooking, you'll need to search for your own recipe book that's compatible with large, circular pans or find suitable recipes online. Since this pan can be used in the oven, for the cooking of baked desserts, it would be helpful if a guide to cooking these could be included, at a minimum.

Save Time

With other stovetop pans that aren't as resistant to the accumulation of sticky food, you might spend up to a half-hour scrubbing off food residue—and that's before putting each pan in the dishwasher. On the other hand, you'll be able to wipe the Knight Chef Pan clean in as little as 30 to 60 seconds, plop it in your bottom rack and be on your way. Even better, if you haven't cooked meat or dairy products in the pan, you'll probably be able to skip the dishwasher for efficiency's sake and just wipe the pan clean.

Save Money

If you use metal utensils in pans that aren't scratch-resistant, you may have to replace the pans as often as every few months or deal with potentially toxic bits of inner coating in your food. Fortunately, the Knight Chef Pan is so scratch-resistant that it may last you for decades or longer without flaking, no matter what metal utensils you use inside yours.
