Kitty Catch is a large mat that will fit under virtually any litter box. It has a non-skid base, so it will always stay put without sliding, regardless of whether you're using it on a hardwood, tile, or carpeted floor. Although it measures 24 by 36 inches, you can fold its flexible material in order to fit it into a space that is smaller than that. The mat comes in gray or tan, and a has a soft surface made of memory foam that will feel good against your cat's paws. Its surface is also waterproof and non-porous, so no liquid will seep through and onto the floor below.
When you use the Kitty Catch mat, your cat will no longer be tracking litter through your home, dirtying your floors and furniture. After your cat steps out of its litter pan, the mat will pick up any loose pieces of litter on its paws so that they can travel no further. Therefore, you won't find yourself frequently sitting on or stepping on pieces of litter, and any odor that loose litter may cause won't be present throughout your entire home. Once your Kitty Catch mat has collected litter, all you'll need to do is wipe, sweep, or vacuum the litter away, or simply dump it off the mat and back into your litter pan.
The cost of Kitty Catch is $19.99 plus $9.99 shipping, for a total price of $29.98. This price was obtained from the As Seen on TV commercial page which was taken offline due to Kitty Catch being discontinued. Kitty Catch may still be found for sale on Amazon or Ebay.
Each Kitty Catch mat contains 33,000 soft dimples with very small amounts of space between them. Once your cat finishes doing its business and begins to leave its pan, these dimples will gently trap and hold any litter that is stuck to its paws. Instead of being tracked through your home, this litter will remain stuck to the mat until you clean it.
In order to clean your mat, you can wipe it with a damp cloth, sweep up the litter it has trapped with a broom, or suck up the pieces of litter with a vacuum. Alternatively, if you don't want to waste litter or spend more than a few seconds cleaning, you can pick up the entire mat and shake its contents into your cat's litter pan.
If you don't have enough space to fold your Kitty Catch mat out flat, you can fold one or more of its sides against a wall in order to make it a bit smaller. This option will come in especially handy if your cat's litter box is in a corner.
Standard litter mats don't trap pieces of litter like the Kitty Catch mat does. Hence, if you use one of these, any litter on your cat's paws will likely end up on your floor or even elsewhere. Plus, standard mats often aren't as soft as the Kitty Catch mat, so your cat may not enjoy walking on one of these as much.
With floors and furniture that are free of kitty litter pellets, even the most cluttered house will look cleaner. You won't need to worry about guests stepping in litter when they take their shoes off, or spotting a stray piece of litter on a chair or couch.
Besides making your house look less clean, having kitty litter on your floors or furniture can also cause certain rooms in your house to smell funny, even if they're far away from your litter pan. Using the Kitty Catch mat will dramatically reduce the chances of kitty litter odor being present in your home, except in the area immediately surrounding your pan.
The Kitty Catch mat is waterproof, so if your cat happens to miss the box, no urine will seep through it onto your floor. Along the same lines, if you use a damp cloth to clean the mat, no water will end up underneath it, either. Its non-porous nature means that it's resistant to stains, too, regardless of what type of dirt or waste ends up on its surface.
This mat has a non-skid base, so it won't slip around while your cat is digging in its litter pan, or while it's walking across the mat to leave the area.
The Kitty Catch mat is available in two shades, gray and tan, so you can choose the shade that best matches your decor or the shade of your litter pan.
With each Kitty Catch mat, you'll also get a grooming mitt that you can use to remove loose hair from your cat's coat. You can also use it to remove cat hair from your furniture, carpets, and clothing.
