Depending on the package purchased, it comes with 4-cell and 8-cell batteries. The AC Power Supply ( 100-240V, 50-60Hz ) has auto sensing to allow worldwide use. Therefore, it is not necessary to worry about adapters if users are in another country. The DC power cable is fit for mobile use in a vehicle, so users do not have to be at home all the time. A single battery can last up to 2.5 hours and a double battery can last up to 5 hours.
The device has easily adjustable flow settings ( 1-3 ).
Package Choices - There are different packages to choose from. They are referred to as “Freedom packages. ” Each one comes with a lifetime warranty, an AC power supply, a DC power cable, a carry bag, and a user manual. The least expensive package comes with three single batteries concentrator, whereas the more expensive packages come with one single battery concentrator and a double concentrator, and two double batteries concentrator, respectively.
The Inogen One G4 device only operates at 40 decibels. This nearly eliminates the noticeable sound that comes out of most oxygen tanks, which also minimizes distraction.
The Inogen One G4 device is only 2.8 pounds with a single battery and 3.3 pounds with a double battery.
The Inogen One G4 is FAA approved, so users can travel with the device.
The Inogen One G4 device eliminates the need for a tank that has to be carried behind the user. This makes traveling via a vehicle much easier and more convenient.
Inogen has accessories and parts available for purchase directly on the website. Therefore, there is no need to search elsewhere for parts that fit this device.
Users who have the Inogen One G4 device can be more independent than people who have to haul around a large tank. Some users have even reported going hiking up in the mountains alone with this device.
This device also makes things easier for caregivers. It is charged easily and caregivers do not have to carry anything themselves. As long as it has sufficient battery, caregivers can be comfortable knowing that the user is receiving oxygen wherever he or she is.
Inogen One G4 devices are simple to use. The battery easily snaps on and off.
The power button will turn the device on and off. It will take a few seconds to load, and it will show the Inogen logo. The plus and minus buttons allow users to either change the pulse setting to one, two, or three.
The cannula gets plugged into the cannula port at the top of the device.
The filter is on the side. It simply needs to be snapped off, cleaned with water, and air-dried.
Simply hold the power button and the device will turn off.
The AC / DC power supply connections are on the back side of the unit and they are used just like any other chargeable device.
The Inogen One G4 device has some obvious and not-so-obvious differences from its competitors. It is clearly smaller than large follow-behind tanks and other portable machines, however there are other differences too. This device is much quieter than a lot of others and only operates at 40 decibels.
Specifications regarding the battery and charging are also much different than some other devices of this type. Charging times vary, and many other devices are not as easy to get around with. Some batteries last longer than others.
Of course, users must make sure the device is charged enough if they are planning on going out. If the device runs out of battery, oxygen cannot flow and therefore a medical emergency could arise.
Some users have reported that the device gets really hot. The exhaust is vented on each side and can cause the entire device to become warm, making some users uncomfortable.
There are many different options available for people who need portable oxygen. Many users have the actual oxygen tank that is strapped onto a mechanism with wheels so it can be rolled behind them. Other devices do what the Inogen One G4 does, but they have different options such as flow settings. Some devices have batteries that last longer, but these are usually bigger devices.

Purchased in May of 2018, only use occasionally, columns failed prior to 1 yr, replaced and that failed within a few months, told warranty not valid on replacement columns, purchased columns and started using at least 10 min each day. Battery failed less than 2 yrs, not even 200 charges, told warranty only 1 yr (the 500 charges they claim) Unit still displays strange battery icon, not solid black as had been but looks like checkerboard, fear this new battery will fail soon also. C/S great in responding but responses not satisfactory. Time will tell.

They will out and out lie to you. I was told last week I would get a refund and now they tell me no refund. I should have known better when I saw they spoof the caller ID number when they call you, no reputable company would do that.

So “Mary” who is portrayed as ‘smart’ for using this machine is in all bright colors in the commercial but the other Nimrod not using this device but using another ‘really rotten brand’ is shown on the commercial in almost all black and white or at least dull/drab colors. But it all mahicalky changes for our dear Nimrod when she gets a clue and likes this great machine and then she gets to play in full vibrant color with “Mary”. How stupid do they think people are? And if that actually does Get to people, it’s targeting people like the elderly and other innocent people not paying attention to the Marketing scam that may seem innocent but is morally wrong. Shame on YOU!

I purchased an Inogen One, g4 oxygen concentrator in Oct 2016 for 2,495.00. I have only used 40 hours as its only used to go to my mailbox or to ealk to the car for DR visits. It had to be turned off & on Twice to pump oxygen. They sent me a USED replacement with coffee & food stains on it & it didn't pump any oxygen. It had not been repaired yet. Now I have the second replacement, it vibrates & rattles. Olso discolored like a smokers house. Feel like one should get a new replacement for the price I paid. In the fine print on warranty it says new OR repaired unit for replacement. They have also sent me a 1,000.00. Statement, saying they have not received the return. Now it went back in the same box, same day & time. UPS man put it in the box. 8 days latter and not back. Had I known I was getting a used unit I would have requested to have my own repaired as I know it was barely used. And who knows how many hours the replacement has been used. Beware, must be faulty product if there are that many returns.
