Ingrown Free

Rate this product

Ingrown Free are adhesive strips made of medical-grade adhesive that will help you get rid of ingrown toenails while also promoting the healthy growth of nails. After you apply one to an ingrown toenail, it'll immediately get to work by gently pulling the edges of the nail away from the skin it's embedded in. While it does so, it won't cause you any pain—in fact, you may not even feel it. Each strip will be able to eliminate an ingrown toenail in as little as 12 days.

Total Cost Breakdown

The cost of Ingrown Free is $19.99 plus $0.00 shipping. The special TV offer allows you to receive a second Ingrown Free by paying an extra fee of $0.00 for a total price of $19.99.

Price is from As Seen on TV Commercial page: ingrownfree.com

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Apply to Ingrown Toenail

To begin using these strips, you'll need to apply one of them to your first affected toenail. You can do this by using your fingers or one of the included stick applicators, which will come in handy if you don't want to touch your toenail. Make sure the inner core of your strip, which will always be thicker than the rest, is in the center of the toenail. That's the part that will really do the work!

  2. Wait A Day

Once you've fastened your first strip securely to the toenail that needs treatment, wait a day while it starts doing its job. As it works to separate your ingrown toenail from the skin around it, you'll be able to wear any pair of shoes and do any activities you choose. You'll also be able to paint the affected toenail with nail polish, right over top of the strip, if you'd like.

  3. Change Strip

After about 24 hours, peel the adhesive off your ingrown toenail (this won't be painful) and replace it with a new piece. If you repeat this process for 12 days straight, you should notice that your ingrown toenail is completely fixed or at least well on the mend. It is safe to continue using the strips on the same toenail for longer than 12 days, if necessary.

How It Works

Each Ingrown Free strip consists of a fairly thick inner core, along with thinner medical-grade adhesive around the outside of it. After you put one of these strips on an ingrown toenail, the inner core is the part that will gently lift the toenail away from the skin that it has grown too far towards. Meanwhile, the additional adhesive around the outside will hold the strip in place so it won't slip all day. By gently lifting the toenail away from the skin that it shouldn't be so close to, one of these strips will realign your toenail's natural curve away from the skin. Due to this gentle realignment, the toenail will be less likely to become ingrown again than it would be without the use of these strips.

Features

  • 24 Strips Per Set

In each set of Ingrown Free strips, you'll get 24 of the strips, which will give you enough to treat two ingrown toenails if you assume that each will get better in 12 days. You'll also receive two stick applicators that will help you apply the strips and a solution that you can use to clean the applicators.

  • Come With File, Case

Each set of strips also comes with a nail file that you'll be able to use for your toenails or fingernails, and a travel case you can use to store your strips, applicators, and file. The strips and the included accessories are all such small objects that you'll be able to take them almost anywhere with you, such as to work or school or on a road trip.

  • Discreet Appearance

All Ingrown Free strips are a similar color to a Caucasian person's skin, so if your skin is of a lighter tone, one of these strips will be very inconspicuous once you've put it on. If someone were to notice one on one of your toes, they might just think it was a standard adhesive bandage.

  • Compatible With All Shoes

It's safe to wear one or more of these strips with all kinds of socks and shoes, including sneakers, boots, sandals, and heels. Therefore, you won't have to restrict your activities to those that can be done in certain footwear while you're wearing one or more of these adhesive strips. Just make sure the pair of shoes you're wearing isn't too tight since if it is, it might rub against one of the strips and pull it off.

Positive Points

  • No Chemicals, Mechanical Tools

Treatment with an Ingrown Free strip will never involve the use of chemicals that might sting your skin or mechanical tools that might scrape or poke you. There'll be no pain involved with adding a strip to an ingrown toenail, and each strip is so gentle, you may even forget that you have one on once you continue with your daily activities. If you have to apply one to a child's toe, you also won't have to deal with the crying and screaming that might result from using a more invasive method of treatment.

  • Can Treat Self At Home

Some people choose to go to a doctor or a salon in order to get an ingrown toenail treated, but others just don't have the time for that. If you're one of those busy people who is lacking free time, it'll come as a relief that you can use Ingrown Free strips to fix up your ingrown toenails right at home. Putting one on involves such a simple process that you won't even need to enlist the help of a friend or family member in order to get a strip onto each affected toenail.

  • Use on Multiple Toenails

If you've got more than one ingrown toenail on one foot or ingrown toenails on both feet, there's no harm in adding more than one adhesive strip to each foot at once. Even if you have one strip on all 10 toes, this won't restrict your movement. You'll just need more than one set of strips in order to heal that large group of ingrown toenails.

Negative Points

  • Not Discreet Against Dark Skin

Ingrown Free adhesive strips are discreet, as long as your skin is white, but they'll show up more clearly against skin that's darker in tone. It would be nice if the strips could be offered in a few darker skin tones in order to better accommodate users who have naturally darker skin or who happen to tan a lot.

  • Not Suitable For Fingernails

While Ingrown Free strips are suitable for toenails of all sizes, they haven't been designed with fingernails in mind. If you were to attempt to use one on a fingernail, the inner core would likely be too large. Consequently, it wouldn't be able to complete the exact same type of gentle pulling action as it would while affixed to an ingrown toenail.
