To begin using your HydraLight, you'll need to open up its base and pull out the HydraCell that you'll find in there.
To power up the HydraCell you've pulled out, you must dip it in a glass of water. You'll only need to do this for 10 to 12 seconds, but make sure that the entire cell goes under the water. The water you use should be close to room temperature as opposed to being warm, hot or incredibly cold.
Once you've submerged your battery cell in water, it'll be time to insert it back into the flashlight it came out of. Before you do so, give it a shake to get rid of any excess water that may be present on its inside or outside. When you go to put it back in your flashlight, be sure that the arrow on the cell is pointing towards the top of the flashlight instead of the bottom. If not, the cell may not send power to the flashlight properly.
After your cell is inside your HydraLight, screw the base back on the light with one or both hands.
The last step is turning on your flashlight, which you can do by pushing the black power button outlined in yellow near the flashlight's top.
Due to new fuel cell technology, the HydraCell working in conjunction with the water it's been submerged in can actually power certain devices like the HydraLight. Therefore, if you have one of these flashlights, you won't need solar power, standard batteries or electricity to provide yourself with illumination in any situation.

Each HydraCell will provide you with up to 300 hours of power, but keep in mind that you will have to dunk the cell in water multiple times in order to access all this energy.
These battery cells won't degrade and lose some of their charging capacity over time like standard batteries do. Depending on how often you use yours, each one may last you for up to two and a half decades, or 25 years, without degradation.

When you're not using your HydraLight, remember to turn it off by using the black power button you used to turn it on. Even though the Hydralight Fuel Cells are long-lasting in comparison to standard batteries, they will burn out eventually, so you shouldn't waste their power by leaving a light you don't need on. By turning off your HydraLight when you don't need it, you'll also reduce the number of times that you'll have to dunk the cell within in water to recharge it.
