Hot Hands

Hot griddles or cast iron pans can quickly retain heat enough to melt traditional oven mitts. The new Hot Hands are silicone gloves with raised grippers that repel heat from the hands. They make it easy to handle any hot food objects including meats grilled outside, casseroles cooked in an oven, meats prepared in a slow cooker, or items boiled on the stove top. Not only does it claim to protect you from the heat of cooking or baking, but it is melt proof.

Total Cost Breakdown

The cost of Hot Hands is $10.00 plus $6.99 shipping. The special TV offer allows you to receive a second Hot Hands by paying an extra fee of $6.99 for a total price of $23.98.

How It Works

When cooking things like bacon, each piece can be turned over by hand without worry that a scalding griddle or flying bacon grease will hurt.

French fries too can be turned over halfway through cooking without scalding burns.

Boiled eggs can be removed from boiling water without burns. Corn on the cob can be grabbed from its boiling water and buttered without a spatula, fork, or other accessories.

Freshly made, steaming meats can be taken from a slow cooker and shredded by hand without burns or dirtying additional dishes.

Holiday hams or turkeys can be safely taken from their baking trays and placed right onto the decorative serving tray without any mess.

Casserole pans can be taken out of the oven and the oven rack put back into place without fear.

Pasta or other food items can be drained over a colander, without the rising steam burning your hands.

Meats or side dishes on a grill can be turned over without grilling tools.

They are effective, useful and they save time and money by reducing the number of kitchen or grilling appliances you need. You can hold hot objects in your hands without a cooking tool or an oven mitt. Consumers are satisfied with the product. A single pair of silicone gloves are starting to replace myriad utensils in the kitchen.

  • Replace Utensils

Hot Hands can replace cooking utensils and oven mitts.

  • Melt Proof

They are stain resistant and melt resistant.

  • Durable

They are durable enough to open containers, pick up small cutlery or pins, and still protect hands from damage.

  • Easy to Clean

After use, it can be rinsed clean or put into the dishwasher.

  • One Size Only

There is only one size, so some people with very large hands might not get the same level of protection. Those with small hands might not get the same grip strength.

  • Sweat is Problematic

If your hands are wet from water or sweat, the gloves will present a challenge to get on. This is problematic if you have been wearing them for a while and handling hot items because doing so will increase the sweat on your hands. That said, getting the gloves off once you have started sweating can be tiresome.

  • Doesn't Outshine

There is no real advantage over products which are similar, and there are other silicone gloves out there which claim to do the same thing.

  • Warm Sensations

They can be used to handle food, oven racks, cookie sheets, pots, pans, and just about any other hot item.

However it should be noted that while there are no burns and they offer protection from hot steam, grease, or heat, consumers will still feel a warm sensation when they are handling hot objects. The same is true of placing hands in boiling water.

How it's Different from Competitors

There is another set of silicone and heat resistant gloves designed with the same features and colors. These are found online and have garnered a lot of popularity from consumers.

The competing product has won over consumers because single gloves can be purchased. If you order Hot Hands online you cannot opt out of the special two glove set deal.

As such, you are paying separate shipping for both pairs even if you only want one.

NOT Safe to Use

Tried to remove an Iron Skillet from oven, had to
Change to a regular hot pad glove. Much too hot to
Handle with the Hot Hands Gloves. I'm really disappointed in this product.
