Hip Saver is a flexible fabric compression device that fits around a user's waist and one of their upper thighs. It's meant to relieve pain in either hip that can also spread to the lower back and the rest of the leg that's connected to that hip. When worn by virtually any adult, this device has been specifically designed to provide compression and stability within the affected area, with the aim of increasing blood flow, improving balance and reducing discomfort.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Slide Chosen Leg In

When you look at your Hip Saver, you'll notice that there's a smaller piece and a larger piece. The smaller piece is meant to be fastened around the hip and upper thigh of your choice, while the larger piece is for your waist. To get started with this device, you'll need to wrap the smaller piece around your thigh (either over or under your pants) and do up the adjustable Velcro straps. The straps should be tight enough to stop the device from moving up or down or to either side, but not so tight that you feel uncomfortable.

  2. Do Up Waist Strap

Next, it'll be time to do up your Velcro waist straps, which will fall on the opposite side of your body to the hip that's currently wearing your Hip Saver. To do this, wrap your device's larger piece around your waist and do up the straps. Similar to the hip straps, they should be fastened against you snugly, but not so snugly that you feel like you can't comfortably move or breathe.

  3. Proceed With Activities

Once both your hip and waist are resting securely within your compression device, you can go ahead with your daily activities, including physical work tasks, exercise and carrying your children (i applicable). While your Hip Saver will provide gentle compression as you go through your day, you should barely feel it against your body or clothing. If it's extremely obvious that it's there, it may be best to loosen the straps a bit.

  4. Remove Before Sleep

Before you go to sleep, it's a good idea to remove your Hip Saver since it's not meant to be slept in. Just undo the straps and gently slide your body out, and if you think your device needs washing before its next use, toss it in the washing machine.

How It Works

This compression device is made from a flexible material known as Silverprene, which is also known for its breathability and durability. As a result, it'll move with you as you move your body, and will prevent your hip and waist area from becoming excessively hot or sweaty while you wear the device. Furthermore, its material is infused with silver ions that are anti-bacterial and will help preserve your device's cleanliness and freshness over time. Due to this material, you'll be comfortable, clean and dry as your device delivers its two main benefits to your hip and lower core areas. These include an increased flow of blood that's meant to reduce pain, along with stabilization that'll enhance your balance as you move, thereby helping prevent re-injury of your affected hip.

Features

  • Black

Each Hip Saver is black, a shade that tends to look good with any items of clothing and will appeal equally to people of various ages and genders.

  • Lightweight and Slim

This compression device is lightweight and slim enough that it'll fit under most pieces of clothing, as long as those garments aren't meant to be skintight. However, if you choose, it's perfectly fine to wear this device over your clothing, too. Either way, it won't feel as if you've fastened a bunch of dumbbells to your waist to carry around.

  • For Either Leg

If you sometimes experience pain or discomfort in both of your hips, you can switch your Hip Saver from one hip to another in minutes, according to your needs. Each one has been designed to be worn on either leg, so you won't need to get a second one for your second leg. In fact, it's impossible to wear two of these at the same time since there'll only be room around your waist for one set of straps.

  • Adjustable Straps

The Hip Saver only comes in one size, but this shouldn't be a problem for the vast majority of people, as the straps for the waist and hip are adjustable. At their largest setting, they've been designed to fit a burly man, while they're meant to fit a slim woman at their smallest setting. Even some larger children may be able to wear one of these devices, although each one may be too big for children who are on the smaller side.

  • Long-Lasting

This compression device is not one that you'll be able to use just once or a few times. Its durable material may cause it to last for years or even decades, regardless of whether you wear it every day, and its aforementioned silver ion infusions will keep it fresh and clean. If you ever don't need it anymore, you may want to pass it on to a family member or friend who's experiencing hip issues.

Positive Points

  • Accommodates Weight Changes

If you change your activity level due to a hip injury, you could lose muscle or gain fat on your thighs, which could make them a bit larger or smaller than usual. The same thing could happen to your waist, affecting the size in the same way. Fortunately, due to its adjustable straps, the Hip Saver will accommodate a change in the measurement of your hips or waist and will continue to fit you after this change occurs. Even if the change is excessive, it's unlikely that you'll find yourself unable to put your compression device on comfortably.

  • Don't Need to Hand-Wash

This device is safe to run through the washing machine, so you won't have to take the time to hand-wash it or bring it to the dry cleaner's. That means you may have the time to wash it every day, which will make it fresher if you often wear it while playing sports, working out or doing physical work. Keep in mind, though, that it hasn't been specified as being dryer safe, so it's best to hang it to dry after you wash it.

Save Time

Professional treatments from a chiropractor or physiotherapist can take up a lot of time, especially if you must drive for a half hour or more to your appointments and wait in a crowded waiting room. Once you start wearing your Hip Saver on a regular basis, however, you may find that you don't need these treatments as often or at all. The new garment may be able to make your hip or lower back feel much better on its own, and without those appointments on your schedule, you'll have more hours for productivity or fun.

Ordered over month ago thru automated system, gave credit card info, never took $ out of bank YET! However I've left several messages for a call back to no avail, what's up? Thinking this might be a way to get credit card info, still checking, and contacting BBB, BEWARE.
