Hercules Hose is a lightweight, steel covered garden hose you can use without worrying about tangles or kinks. Similar to many other garden hoses on the market, this metal design is one that is on par with its cost. Using this hose means children, elderly with arthritis, and anyone in between can easily maneuver a garden without worry of damaging the hose. It can be yanked on, dragged, and more but it will keep working well.

Features

  • No More Heavy Hoses

With this design you can kiss heavy hoses goodbye. You do not have to try and carry a heavy garden hose across the lawn or bring it back and forth to a work truck. Now you can enjoy a simple, durable design that weighs only a few pounds.

  • Bonus Attachments

With the order you get the mighty blaster hose attachment and a quick reel that lets you easily reel in the hose and store it out of sight.

  • Tough Design

With the marketing slogan that it is a hose as tough as you, this steel design is one that is allegedly able to withstand even the most extreme of temperatures. This means you can leave it outside and it will not burst or crack when exposed to direct sunlight. It will not freeze or break when you leave it in the winter cold. No matter where you live you can keep this hose stored outside and it will still function just fine.

  • Kink Free

This metal design, thanks to the material from which it is made, is kink free and tangle free. As such, you can drag it across your yard, then back again, and no matter how it is used the hose will not tie up or kink. Understand that this does not mean it will not curl up or create something similar to a figure 8. It just means that the water pressure will not be impacted at all by any movement or coiling of the hose.

  • Portable

The lightweight nature of the stainless steel couples with the durable construction to make it a great hose to take anywhere. You can easily unscrew it from your spigot and move it elsewhere, or take it on the road for a camping event or work.

My Hercules Hose Video Review

Pros

  • Four Sizes

Like many of the top selling metal garden hoses, this design offers four lengths so that residential and commercial needs can be met. There is the twenty five foot hose available, the fifty foot hose available, the seventy five foot hose available, and the one hundred foot hose available. Each size costs slightly more with a slightly higher shipping cost, but is worth the cost.

  • Unique Design

The Hercules hose is different from other metal hoses insofar as it is a regular garden hose covered with interlocking steel casings. Such a casing fits together so that nothing like sharp points, edges, or rocks can get into the hose and puncture it while you are trying to water your lawn.

Cons

  • One Color

Like many of the metal hoses on the market today, no matter how well it works, there is still only one color available. This can be a downfall to people who have monochromatic tools in their garden.

  • Mighty Blaster

The mighty blaster is a great attachment, one that provides a powerful stream or spray. However, it is an attachment that you have to grip. As such, if you are handling a large task, it can get exhausting to use. Moreover, those who cannot provide even pressure will not get even water pressure from the hose, and those with things like arthritis cannot use this bonus gift well.

How it's Different from Competitors

This design does not appear to be much different than other metal hoses on the market. It offers the same kink-free promises. One difference though is the design. Rather than being made entirely out of stainless steel like other metal hoses, it is a unique garden hose located inside of a steel casing. This casing is what provides the additional protection.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Open

Unwrap the packaging to reveal the hose and the attachments.

  2. Connect

Connect the hose to your spigot by tightening the connectors until they do not move or leak.

  3. Roll Out

Take the hose and roll it out so that it is not wrapped up in a coil, but fully extended.

  4. Attach

Attach the nozzle to the opposite end by also tightening it clockwise until it is securely in place and does not leak.

  5. Turn on the Water

Turn on your water form the spigot. Take the mighty blaster hose attachment and squeeze the grip to turn on the hose.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Store Inside

Even though the hose is designed to work well when left outside, you can extend the lifespan if you invest in the wheel and regularly store the hose when not in use. The metal design means it will not succumb to coil memory, where it remains coiled if you leave it rolled up for too long.

  2. Drain

If you are going to store it when not in use, such as storing it inside over the winter months, it is best that you drain the water from it before you coil it. While you can certainly choose not to do this, again, you can increase the lifespan of the hose when you opt to prevent any mold growth or water damage.

Alternatives

  • Pocket Hose

Pocket Hose has a line of eight durable water hoses like this one, each of which is an improvement upon the previous versions. Like this, the Pocket Hose line of garden hoses are all kink-free. In fact, some of them have been run over or otherwise destroyed to prove how well they will work in spite of the damage.

  • Forever Steel

Forever Steel is an alternative metal hose that is crafted from stainless steel. It is lightweight too, weighing on a few pounds for all of the different lengths. This option can be dragged, pulled, and otherwise banged up and it will not puncture, tear, or kink. The water pressure will remain the same no matter what happens to the hose.

  • Metal Garden Hose

Metal Garden Hose is an incredibly durable garden hose. This one was put to many tests, including being run over by a car, dragged across sharp surfaces, and pummeled by cactus spines. It did nothing to impeded the functionality or power of the hose. You can leave this hose out in the sunlight and it will not burn you or heat up. Leave it in the cold and it will not freeze or burst.

Don't Buy This Brand of Hose

Horrible.
Bought a total of three of these 100' hoses. All have since sprung leaks in them. The first one that sprung a leak, was replaced, it too sprung a leak. I have always turned them off after use and let them drain. Eventually, ALL three leaked after owning them less than 5 months.
Really sucks too, because I now stuck with THREE faulty/bad, useless hoses and spent A LOT of money on them. Can't reach the Hercules manufacturer to help me and refund me my money or replace it with new, better made, upgraded ones.

Bought the 75' version with Hercules roller. Used 4 times & rolled up did not use the 2nd year but it was rolled up on the factory roller. Next season unrolled and hooked up with very little flow then leaks like a sieve all over. NO will not purchase another.

Great for Short Period of Time

These hoses were purchased for my aging mother to water her garden. It was lightweight and didn't kink or catch on things. It was great for the first maybe 8 months, it sprung a leak. Over the course of a couple of months, all 4 that were purchase all started to leak at various areas along with the hose. The inner tubing is lightweight, and even though we depressurized it after each use, they all have leaked. Won't buy any more until a different, better internal plastic tube is used in the construction. Please fix the issue. The hose is so wonderful otherwise.

Need a Connector to the end Where Nozzle Goes

Last June 21 I purchased a Hercules Garden Hose #9729802888 from Bed Bath and Beyond. And again on July 4, I purchased a second (same number). Somehow over the winter, the connector that attaches to a nozzle came off and was lost. Is it possible to order a new connector from you? Please advise.

Ripoff Hose

Had it less than a year and the hose Separated from the connector. Called for replacement. They said I had to have a receipt for a $30 item over 9 months ago. Does anyone keep receipts that long? They demand that I spend $10 in shipping for a $30 hose replacement, knowing no one keeps receipts that long. I am going to complain to the California Attorney General and to the consumer protection agency that this is a huge ripoff and Deceptive advertising.

Dsappointed

I used the 50 ft hose only twice for my flower garden and it sprung a leak already. Not worth any money - not even a nickel's worth. Don't buy this unless you want a bad product!

Do Not Order

Do not order takes forever 2 months and then they still do not ship what you order. I ordered 2 25' hoses and got a 50' hose because they did not have 25'. Customer service is horrible.

Great Hose

These are the absolute best hoses! I have been fighting hoses since 2008 when I had a stroke that partially disabled Me. These hoses are easy to move around and really don't kink! Would buy another longer one if I could afford it right now. Have recommended this hose to friends & family! You have a deffinate fan here!

Useless

Purchased 200ft of hose. Nozzle fell apart after 3 or 4 minutes. Hose diameter is so small I cannot use it to spot water my lawn. Would only cover a circle of around 5ft. Using my old hose, it covers over 10' in diameter. Cannot get full volume of water to do what needs to be done. Can't even wash down my concrete pad.

Am returning for a full refund.

Different Sizes?

Can I order one ( 1 ) 25 ft. And one ( 1 ) 50 ft. Hose? Will that still qualify for the sprayer and the reel?
Please advise me by email.

Used Twice and Broke

Only used the hose twice and it pulled apart from the faucet end, metal pulled away from inner plastic and can not get it to back in. For $40.00 it should last for quite a while. Please call me at 330-952-1678 so I can talk to a human person, I told so many of my friends about it and how nice it was, but after only using it twice I called all of them and told them not to buy it. I will keep telling people how bad it is. I expect to get a refund or hopefully a replacement that works, I think this one had a flaw in it.

Should be ok but mine broke only using it twice, the metal pulled away from the inner plastic and there is no way it can be put back in. For $40.00 I think it should last for a long time.

Diameter

Does your 25 foot hose have a 5 / 8 inch diameter. It would be helpful in your ad if you told us.
