Helping Hand Bedside Support Rail is a piece of safety equipment that you can slide right into your bed to prevent falling and inability to get out of bed in the morning. The handrail installs in three easy steps: slide horizontal bars in between the mattress, clip onto bedframe and extend adjustable legs onto the floor. The ninety-degree angle design uses the mattress and bedframe structure to offer you optimal support and stability while you are in or getting out of bed. This device can also withstand three hundred pounds of pressure.

Features

  • Adjustable

This product is helpful for people who have their beds raised at a great height from the floor since the legs can accommodate any bed's height. Note that the bottoms of the legs are covered in a slip-resistant rubber material, which means you can put as much pressure onto the device as is needed. The legs will not slide around and can withstand you wiggling the rail while you raise yourself.

  • Padded Handle

If you have any conditions that make grasping onto anything difficult, the soft padding will make this process easier. You can always use it to help yourself turn over in bed in the middle of the night, so you are not forced to remain in an uncomfortable position throughout the night.

  • Storage Pouch

The rail not only keeps you safe in your bed but it also has an organizer pouch on the outside. You can store your reading glasses, medications, remotes, snacks or anything you would like to keep close. There will be no need to get up out of bed once in it and you can conserve your energy by merely lifting yourself to reach into the pouch. You can keep your phone close to you, while charging it, instead of placing it on your bedside table which can be too much of a reach at times.

Positive Aspects

  • Bonus Car Helper

Low riding cars can be difficult to get out of and can require a fair amount of momentum to stand up. Helping Hands is including a handheld device that you can attach into your car door handle metal loop and then use to lean on the non-slip handle which will give extra leverage and help you exit the vehicle. Keep the car helper in your car, purse or another convenient place that you can use whether you are driving or in the passenger seat.

  • Pair With Soft Mattress

Your mattress may be the perfect support for your body while you sleep, but often it can be difficult to quickly roll out of your bed in the morning. If you find yourself sinking in farther every morning, choosing the Helping Hand Bedside Support Rail can get you out of your morning mattress slump.

  • Prevents Falling Out of Bed

This preventative device will ensure that you do not roll out of bed in the night or while you are trying to gain the momentum to get out of bed. It could be a good investment for restless sleepers who toss and turn throughout the night and also if you have a hard time controlling your movements while getting up.

  • Fits Any Bed

No matter the size of your bed, it will fit a twin, full, queen and king sized bed. This can be used for seniors who have mobility issues and less active muscles. Attach it onto your child’s bed to prevent them from falling onto the floor at night if they are transitioning from the crib.

Negative Aspects

  • Requires Bed Frame

To safely stabilize the rail you need to have a bed frame in which you can clip the straps around. If your mattress rests on a floor or a bed frame that does not lift off of the floor it could propose a safety hazard.

  • Shipping & Handling Costs

You can expect, if ordering internationally, to accrue more than fifteen dollars in shipping costs. This does not include any duty fees that may be applied while crossing the border.

How It Works

The Helping Hands Bedside Support Rail can be installed on both sides of the bed so you do not have to move from your preferred side. It is securely attached on the sturdy frame of your bed and is kept steady by the extended legs. The installation can be completed in under a minute and will only need to be placed on your bed once. Though if you need to move it, it is easy to remove from your bed and store discreetly in your room.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Secure to Mattress

Slide the two horizontal bars underneath your mattress until the rail is secured to the side of your bed. Make sure you position it where your torso would typically be positioned while you sleep. You want to be able to slide your hips beside the rail and get off feet first onto the ground.

  2. Clip to Bed Frame

If you have a bed frame that is raised above the floor, take the straps and secure the buckle around your bedframe. This will prevent the rail from sliding out from in between your mattress.

  3. Adjust Legs

Adjust the two legs to the height necessary to meet the floor and provide the final measure of security.

  4. Use of Rail

In the morning grasp onto the ergonomic handrail with both hands and pull yourself up to a sitting position. Once in a sitting position, slid your body past the rail and gently land on the floor.

Save Money

You could buy a variety of bulky body and wedge pillows which can get in the way of you getting a good night’s sleep. These pillows can be costly and an adjustable bed frame can cost you thousands of dollars.

Save Time

It can take more than ten to fifteen minutes to work up the muscle strength to get you out of bed in the morning. You could spend these minutes doing something more valuable or productive.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Stool Placement

You might want to consider placing a stool beside your bed if your bed is too high for your legs to reach the floor. This will prevent any tripping or falling that could occur if the gap is too large for you to safely guide yourself down.
