- Works With Anything
This polish works on top of any other ordinary nail polish. You do not have to go out and buy new colors from a specific brand. Instead you can use whatever you already love. You get a flawless shine in just sixty seconds too.
- Safe for Skin
Use it without any fuss, peel it off when you don’t want it on anymore. The elasticized polymer technology lets you peel it off to reveal your undamaged and healthy nails below. No more soaking your hands in harsh chemicals.
- Long Lasting
Ordinary polish will start to chip, fade, or crack after just a few days of being on your nails. This usually results from regular use of your hands, hitting the polish and causing it to splinter. After ten days, the Gel Touch still keeps your manicure pristine, whereas other polish starts to chip and fade. It lasts two times longer. What’s more, it gentle peels off in the end without any harsh chemicals.
There are no refills available for the polish, only for the wipes. So if you run out of gel cleansing wipes, you have to call the company directly to place a refill order since it is not an option on the site. However, if you run out of the polish, there is no option to buy more of this top coat without also purchasing the lamp. For now this is very ineffective. Not very good for saving money.
This top coat saves you money in two ways. First, it saves you money on the cost of nail polish and manicures. Whether you do your manicures at a salon or you just use generic polish at home, the use of this top coat means everything lasts longer. Longer lasting polish means less polish used over time, so you don’t have to go out and spend more money on newer polish. What’s more, if you do not need to get a manicure as often because the coat lasts longer, you save money on the expense of regular manicures.
This polish saves you time too. Whether you get a professional manicure or you do them at home, it takes time. A good manicure can take up to one hour. When you extend the lifespan of your manicures, you cut back on the amount of time each month that you spend on nail care.
Easy to Use
- Apply Polish
First, apply whatever polish you want to your nails. You do not need to use nail polish first. In fact, you can apply Gel Touch over your natural nails if you want, so long as they are clean and dry.
- Let Dry
On average it is recommended that you wait between twenty and thirty minutes after applying nail polish to ensure it is dry. After that amount of time it should be dry enough to apply Gel Touch. Bear in mind that this time is contingent upon how many coats of polish you used and how thickly it was applied.
- Add Gel Touch
Apply the Gel Touch top coat over whatever nail polish you have. You should apply the coat in thin layers. If you prefer a thicker look, then apply two thin coats, rather than one thick coat. The company states that thin coats are better than thick coats. For thicker, gel-like consistency on your nails, two coats is ideal. You do not need to cleanse the nail with the special wipes in between coats. Instead, just cure each coat for sixty seconds and then wipe away any sticky residue when you are done.
- Place Under Lamp
Cure the polish under a USB lamp for sixty seconds. Your hands should be positioned straight and flat underneath the lamp so that the light evenly hits your nails. If your fingers are placed unevenly or twisted under the lamp, then the gel might not cure properly. Should you feel that your nails are not dry even after curing them under the lamp, reapply the product and cure it for one more minute.
- Wipe Clean and Enjoy
Always remember the final step, to wipe away the sticky residue with the cleansing wipe. Gel polishes will leave behind a tacky residue after they are cured which is why the cleansing wipes are required to wash it off.
Tips & Tricks
- Avoid Drying Sprays
You should not use any speed drying sprays or drops to help the polish dry faster. Quick dry sprays or oils leave a deposit on the nail which makes your nails slick and greasy. This prevents proper adhesion of Gel Touch. If you choose to use these speed drying sprays or polishes anyway, be sure to wipe off any of the oily residue left behind using the gel cleansing wipes. Do this before you apply the top coat.
- If Wet
Should you apply Gel Touch to damp or wet nail polish it will not adhere properly. It will instead slip off the surface. Your nails will turn out looking winkled or bubbled, and it won’t last as long. However, if you are patient and let your nails dry completely before you apply the top coat, it will be well worth the wait.
If you already have an LED lamp you can use it with the Gel Touch, so long as it is at least 6W. Alternatively, Gel Touch can be cured with a UV lamp. However, an UV lamp takes double the time, so keep your hands under for two minutes.
In less than 10% of cases, the GelTouch is difficult to peel off. Often this is because of the brand of polish. Some brands adhere more strongly to your nails. If you have a problem peeling, soak your nails in a regular acetone-based polish remover and then wipe clean.
