  • Involvement for Children

These toys are a great way for kids to really understand the process of manufacturing and utilize their creativity. Normal stuffed animals or related gifts for kids a chance to play with something that is already fabricated. Using this particular design the kids get to be an important part of the manufacturing and design process. In fact, studies indicate that when people put in the effort to make something themselves they have a much more vested interest in maintaining that item, in taking care of it.

That being said a big problem with kids today is getting them to take care of their toys to an appropriate degree especially given the fact that they can't understand the value of their toys. As children contribute to the physical creation of the stuffed animal themselves, they are much more apt to take care of it.

  • Personal Contributions

If kids are regularly making presents for other friends, by customization offered by these different stuffed animals means that kids get to make something very unique, they can put whatever design or pattern they want. So, the present they are giving something very special. As such, it is a great way for kids to express how they really care about another person.

  • Three Animal Options

Each kit allows you to make two stuffed animals. They have to be the same type of animal because you only get one mold but you get two different sets of colors. Kids can choose between a teddy bear, a kitty, or a puppy. Bear comes in brown and white. Their cat is pink and white. This dog is turquoise and white.

  • Only Two Colors Per Animal

The unit only gives you a specific set of colors for each of the three animals which means that you can't just use your own fluff or material. As a result, you can be creative to an extent insofar as you can change the pattern but you can't change the colors. You also cannot change to other animals.

  • No Fluff Refills

The contents for each order are enough for one of the designs, which means that in order to make more, you would need more of the filling. You cannot order just the filling on any of the sites where this product is sold, which means you are left having to purchase a new kit entirely, complete with the new mold.

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Stuff

Stuff in the fluff directly into the mold. Rip the pieces apart and stuff them in based on the colorful patterns you want.

  2. Spray

Once you have all the fluffy pieces put in the tray the way that you want them, you spray it down using a bottle of water.

  3. Wash and Dry

Toss the mold inside the washer and then dry it. When it comes out it will be a fluffy sweet stuff animal that you can play with.

  4. Clips

The two molds clipped together even though you only put fluff in one of the molds. Once you take it out of the washer or dryer you un-clip it and add the accessories for the eyes and the nose.

  • Age Limits

This kit is not intended for children younger than three years of age.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Mix and Match Patterns

When you get the different colors you can take some of the fluff and use it to make fun stripes on your animal. Conversely, use it to write your name in the animal, to put your favorite number or your favorite symbol, or even to give it spots. When making a dog you can give him spots over one eye or over his cute little nose. With the cat you can give it pinstripes or you can simply give it a bright pink tummy.

Should you purchase more than one kit you can take three or four colors and then use them to mix and match.

  2. Make Your Own Template

You can customize it with your name or even your favorite number. If you want, you can put a fun pattern like a piece symbol on the stomach of the animal.

There are templates that you can follow but if you don't want to follow them you can always be more creative. Use the available fluff to create whatever design you have your heart set on.

My 7 year old made this completely by herself, except for a couple of the clips at the end. Worked brilliantly. Cannot wait to get more.

Very Disappointing Results

My 6-year-old granddaughter and I made this together. Although the instructions were easy to follow, the plush would not "stretch" so the ears have fallen off completely, the nose is misshapen and I am dreading giving the finished toy to my very excited grandchild. Also, the clips were so hard to close that we needed several rest periods to "rescue" our fingers!

My 4 year-old granddaughter was traumatized when the animal came out of the mold with the legs barely attached. They quickly fell off. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact my son may not have packed it tightly enough. However, I would not recommend this kit for a child.

Life Hack

I ran out of fuzz, so I used dryer lint. Dryer lint is also a good tool to use.
