The Fuzz Secret is a device to remove fuzz, pet hair and pilling from clothing, furniture or other fabrics. With various settings, it is capable of being used on almost any fabric regardless of the texture or depth.
It is a hand powered lint remover, pill remover and pet hair remover all in one. This product was designed to save clothing that would otherwise be unsightly and unwearable without causing damage to any fabrics quickly and effectively. Unlike other products on the market, this product does not use batteries, razors or even sticky paper making it unique in both appearance and use.
The infomercial shows how the Fuzz Secret has three settings to ensure that it can work safely with all materials, from bulky sweaters to delicate cashmere. In the video, it also shows how this product can be used without damaging the fabrics unlike other products to make the fabrics look revived and refreshed quickly and efficiently. This video shows how the Fuzz Secret can be used while the garment is either lying flat or being worn making it suitable for last-minute touch-ups. It can also be used to remove pet hair ensuring that your cat will not follow you to work.
The cost of Fuzz Secret is $10.00 plus $6.95 shipping. The special TV offer allows you to receive a second Fuzz Secret by paying the extra shipping fee of $6.95 for a total price of $23.9. This price was obtained from the As Seen on TV commercial page which was taken offline due to Fuzz Secret being discontinued. Fuzz Secret may still be found for sale on Amazon or Ebay.
To use the Fuzz Secret, you first need to determine which of the three rotating heads is suitable for the fabric you are going to use it on.
For materials with a deep pile such as heavy wool and synthetics, you would want to use the "bulky" setting. With fleece, cashmere, and fine wools you would want to use the "normal" setting and for very fine fabrics such as cotton or delicates you would want to use the "gentle" setting. Once the appropriate setting has been chosen, it is as simple as running the product gently along the material. It can even be used while the material is being worn making last-minute adjustments possible.
Unlike fabric shavers, the Fuzz Secret does not rely on a knife to remove the pills ensuring that threads are not cut which causes your clothing or other materials to unravel. This product also is able to be used with pet hair and bulky sweaters, the same cannot be said of fabric shavers.
Lint brushes are designed to remove lint. As such, they remove lint and some pet hair gently, however, they are unsuited to bulky fabrics and pilling. This is because they work on the top layer of the fabric and do not have an adjustable head.
Professional laundering costs a significant amount and often they will not remove pilling in fear of damaging the fabrics. Other cleaners will use electric devices which are known for causing tears and leaving fine pilling.
As the Fuzz Secret is controlled by hand, there is no worry about excessive force being used and there is no wait time to receive your garment back.
Sticky lint rollers are often suggested for very fine or solid surfaces such as a tight upholstery, suit jacket or leather. This is because they will often get caught up in bulkier fabrics such as wool sweaters.
Most of these lint rollers also require refills as they are a series of sticky sheets on a roller that can be costly and cumbersome. This can be frustrating, particularly in the case of pet hair, as the sticky sheets can only hold so much before becoming full. Some of these lint rollers do have a washable head. However, these have the same issue in that they can only hold so much before they need to be washed and will need to air-dry before being used again.
While the Fuzz Secret is designed to work well with delicate fabrics, it should be tested in an unseen area of the fabric to ensure that it will not damage the garment in question. This would be particularly important in loose-knit fabrics, home-made products and fabrics that are known to "shed. ".
As furniture usually utilizes a heavy upholstery which will put up with plenty of abuse and people sitting on it, antiques and materials such as velvet require special care. It would be suggested to test this product in an unseen location to ensure that the fabric remains intact and unharmed.
