Freedom Light is a portable light switch that you can use virtually anywhere at home or at work. Once you flick it on, the entire thing will light up, providing you with bright, white LED light. To hang this light switch up somewhere, you won't need to do any wiring or plug in any cables or cords. Plus, you'll be able to carry it around an entire building with you, if needed, and it can even be used in the car.
The cost of Freedom Light is $12.99 plus $7.99 shipping, for a total price of $20.98.

Once you've got at least one Freedom Light on hand, you'll need to select the location where you'll hang the first one. You might want to hang it in a cupboard, cabinet or closet, or use it in a shed, unfinished basement or garage—the possibilities are almost endless.
Before you can mount your new light switch, you'll have to mount a nail or hook to hang it on. Fortunately, this won't be as time-consuming as rewiring a wall in order to accommodate a standard switch. Once you've got something to hang your Freedom Light on, simply hang it there so it's ready to be turned on.
After you flick on your light switch in the same way that you would a standard switch, you'll be able to enjoy bright LED light within the entire area surrounding the switch. LED lights tend to be longer-lasting than other small lights, so if you turn your light switch off when you're not using it, the light within may last for years without burning out.
Each of these light switches is white, the shade that most standard switches come in, so yours will likely match the other light switches in your home or office. If it doesn't match them, shade-wise, it at least won't clash with them, nor will it clash with your furniture or decor. If you hang one in a child's room or a room that children use frequently, you might want to add some stickers to the plain white front to jazz it up.
These lights actually come in sets of two, and if you feel like you need four for your home or workplace, you'll be able to get two sets at once. Even if you live in a small apartment and only need one of these switches inside, you may want to keep one in a vehicle you regularly use.
Most users will be able to carry their Freedom Light in one hand, leaving the other hand free to search for or work with objects in their environment. Carrying one will be just like carrying around a flashlight or a hand-held lighter, but you won't need to worry about fire or the possibility of non-LED lights burning out quickly.
Since they're battery-powered and contain long-lasting LED lights, Freedom Lights will come in handy during power outages, especially if you need to look at your breaker in the dark. Due to the long-lasting light within each one, you'll be able to carry one of these switches around with you while you're entertaining yourself, even if the power is out for hours.
Besides the house or the workplace, this type of light switch is also useful in the car. If you put one in your glove compartment or trunk, you'll be able to grab the items you need from either place in seconds. Furthermore, you'll be able to use your light switch to help you diagnose the problem if you happen to experience vehicle issues while on the road.
It's often even harder to locate needed objects in a crowded drawer, cabinet or closet than it is to find them in a glove compartment or trunk at night. Luckily, adding a Freedom Light to any cabinet, drawer or closet in your home will help you find what you need quickly at any time. There'll be no more pulling nearly everything out of a kitchen cupboard to find a favorite mug or tossing tons of clothes onto your floor or bed while searching for your winter jacket.
One of these light switches will provide you with enough light to see in any cabinet, but they look especially attractive when added to cabinets with glass doors. If you add one to a glass cabinet that contains glassware or pretty knick-knacks and turn it on at nighttime, you'll be able to see everything within the cabinet super-clearly. The objects will look even better than usual while they're surrounded by glowing white light.
These light switches don't include a dimmer function, so once you turn one on, you won't be able to adjust the brightness level. You'll either get super-bright light while the switch is on or no light at all while it's off, with no options in between. As a result, one of these switches probably wouldn't make a good night light, as the bright light would probably keep almost anyone awake.
Many devices for the home or office that you're supposed to hang up come with adhesive backing, but nowhere is this mentioned as a feature of this light switch. That means that if you don't have a hook or nail to hang one up on, you won't be able to do so, and your only option will be to carry your light switch around. You could attempt to tape one of these switches to a flat surface, but even heavy-duty duct tape may not be strong enough to hold one up for an indefinite period of time.
If you were to decide to add more standard light switches to your home instead of using one or more Freedom Lights, you'd have to do some rewiring or hire a professional to do so. Doing it yourself might take hours or even days, and if you were to hire an expert, you'd have to spend that time supervising them. If you obtain up to four Freedom Lights instead of rewiring your home, you'll be able to have up to four new light switches hanging in places of your choice in less than an hour.
The Freedom Light can be used almost anywhere in any building, but it's not meant for use outdoors. The mechanisms inside each switch and the material each one is made of may not be able to withstand exposure to snow, rain, wind and extreme heat. If exposed to those elements, your switch might just stop functioning properly. Putting one in a protective glass case outdoors would not be a viable solution, either, since you wouldn't be able to quickly access the power switch.
